Abstract

Stunting is one of the problems in growth. Growth disorders can affect the development of the children. The purpose of this research is to identify the description of development in stunting children. This research used descriptive design. There were 35 respondents chosen by using purposive technique sampling. This research used DDST II as the questionnaire. The result of this research found that the majority of respondent were 21 children (60%) who are in the aged of 12-36 month, the female respondents were 22 children (62.9%), the category of stunting were 29 children (82.9%), the suspect development were 24 children (68.6%). This research is expected help the community, especially for parents, to get information to be able to pay attention and fulfill the child growth needs and measure the growth and development the children everymonth so as to optimize children development. Stunting (pendek) merupakan salah satu masalah dalam pertumbuhan. Gangguan pertumbuhan dapat mempengaruhi perkembangan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi gambaran perkembangan pada anak stunting. Desain penelitian ini adalah deskriptif dengan jumlah responden 35 reponden yang diambil dengan Teknik pengambilan sampel purposive sampling. Penelitian ini mengunakan kuesioner DDST II. Hasil penelitian menemukan mayoritas responden berusia 12-36 bulan sebanyak 21 anak (60%), berjenis kelamin perempuan sebanyak 22 anak (62.9%), kategori status gizi stunting sebanyak 29 anak (82.9%), dan sebanyak 24 anak memiliki perkembangan suspect (68.6%). Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi informasi bagi masyarakat khususnya orang tua agar dapat memperhatikan dan memenuhi kebutuhan nutrisi anak serta mengukur pertumbuhan dan perkembangan anak setiap bulannya sehingga dapat mengoptimalkan perkembangan anak.

Abstract

Background: Teenager especially girls are vulnerable for its disease because the need increasing of zinc level at puberty age, having blood loss at their period time and low zinc consumption. Anemia is a condition in which erythrocytes number (red blood cells) in the body is less than normal. Purpose: The purpose of this research was to describe the knowledge of female students in Agriculture Vocational High School Pekanbaru about high zinc foods consumption for anemia prevention. Method: The study conducted as a simple observational. There were of 64 respondent as sample taken by stratified random sampling and questionnaire data collecting that had registered validity and reliability. Result: The result showed that the students mostly were in the age of seventeen. The number of students were thirty students (48.4%) and the number of First Grade Student were thirty eight (59.4%). Respondent’s had good knowledge about iron food for the prevention of anemia is 67.2% and respondent’s had sufficient knowledge is 32.8%. Conclusion: The knowledge of teenager girls about high zinc foods for anemia prevention generally is good. This research is expected to give benefits to teenagers about the importance of consuming zinc food containing for the prevention of anemia.

Abstract

Introduction: Self injury and the risk of suicide are maladaptive behaviors that can harm a person, this behavior usually occurs due to problems that cannot be solved in an adaptive way so that someone solves the problem with maladaptive behavior. This study aims to determine the description of self injury behavior and the risk of suicide in students. Methodology: This research is descriptive research. The sample in this research came from college students with a total of 392 people and were recruited by the quota random sampling method. The data collection method used a Self-harm Inventory (SHI) questionnaire and an Assessment of Suicidal Intention. Results: This research shows the majority of early adulthood respondent (86.7%), with the most female (77.3%), and the religion of the respondents is Moslem (92.1%). The descriptions of self injury behavior in students is that those who have ever been (31.9%) and those who have never were (68.1%), while the risk of suicide was as many as (26.8%) and never (73.2%). The results for self injury were in the mild (30.9%) and severe (1.0%) categories, while the risk of suicide was in the low (24.5%) and high (2.3%) categories. Conclution: The results for this research shows there’s a few students have ever done self injury with low category and there’s a few students have ever done suicide risk with low category. The researcher hopes the next researcher can do further research on the therapy that can minimalize self injury behavior and the risk of suicide.

Abstract

Every child should get immunization because immunization was an important thing, during pandemic that impact all around the world some Puskesmas were still giving health services but so many Puskesmas stop the immunization service. This research aims to identify a description of the factors that affect the completeness of basic immunization in children during the COVID-19 pandemic. This research using quantitative with descriptive and retrospective closure. The sample is 75 mothers that have 9-24 months old children that fullfill the criteria. This research using descriptive analysis. The result of this research is the availability of the health care facilities was in a good condition with 86.7%, health worker support was in giving a good support with 93.3%, and mother family support was giving a good support with 81.3%. 50 mother action on giving completeness of bacsic immunizations on children during Pandemic COVID-19 was on complete status with 66.7%. Completeness of basic immunization during pandemic COVID-19 was affecting by the availability of the health care facilities, support from health worker, support from family.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has disrupted the implementation of the integrated healthcare center. cadre behavior in preventing COVID-19 transmission When integrated healthcare center activities are needed so that integrated healthcare center activities continue to run according to health protocols. Methods:This type of research is quantitative using a descriptive correlation research design and a cross sectional approach. The sampling technique was purposive sampling as many as 76 respondents. The analysis used was bivariate analysis with chi square test. Results: The results showed that predisposing factors related to cadre behavior were knowledge (p value = 0.000) and attitudes (p value = 0.003) while the unrelated factor was culture (p value = 0.365). The enabling behavior of cadres in preventing COVID-19 transmission during integrated healthcare center activities for toddlers is the availability of facilities and infrastructure (p value = 0.002), while the unrelated factor is access to integrated healthcare centers (p value = 0.942). The reinforcement related to the behavior of cadres was the support of health workers (p value = 0.005) while unrelated was the support of community leaders (p value = 0.443). Conclusion: Based on the results of this study, it was concluded that knowledge, attitudes, availability of facilities and infrastructure and support of health workers were related to cadre behavior, while habits, access to posyandu and support from community leaders were not related to cadre behavior.

Abstract

Introduction: Dental caries in pre-school aged 3-6 years often occurs due to one of the main factors, namely the lack of knowledge of parents, especially mothers. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between the level of mother's knowledge about maintaining dental health and the incidence of dental caries in pre-school-aged children. Methods: This research is a quantitative study with a cross sectional approach. Data collection techniques by observing dental caries and distributing questionnaires. The research sample is 123 respondents with total sampling technique. Results: most of the respondents were aged 25-34 years (50.4%), mother's education was tertiary as many as 68 respondents (55.3%), and the majority were housewives as many as 64 respondents (52.0%). The distribution of the description of the level of knowledge of the majority of mothers is sufficient, namely in 100 respondents (81.3%). Characteristics of the children showed that most of them were aged 5-6 years as many as 99 people (80.5%), and the majority were male as many as 72 children (58.5%). There were 108 children (87.8%) affected by dental caries. the majority of the mother's level of knowledge is sufficient, there are 104 children (100.0%) with dental caries. The results of the fisher exact test analysis found that there was a relationship between the level of knowledge of mothers about maintaining dental health and the incidence of dental caries in pre-school children (p value 0.000 α 0.05). Conclusion: Mother's level of knowledge influences the incidence of dental caries in pre-school children.

Abstract

Anxiety is a problem that is often found in nursing students. One of the reasons is because students are required to pass laboratory skill exams, which creates pressure and causes anxiety. Peer social support is one of the factors that can influence anxiety. The aim of the study was to determine the relationship between peer social support and anxiety in facing laboratory skill exams in nursing students. The research design is a descriptive correlation with a cross sectional approach. The respondents of this study were 244 students of the Faculty of Nursing, University of Riau, who were obtained using the proportionate stratified random sampling technique. The measuring tool is a questionnaire and the data analysis used is the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test. The results showed that there was a relationship between peer social support and anxiety in facing laboratory skill exams in nursing students with p value = 0.000 α (0.05). Anxiety that occurs in nursing students in facing laboratory skill exams has a correlation with social support, one of which is the social support of peers.

Abstract

Kemampuan bahasa adalah salah satu perkembangan dasar yang harus dicapai oleh anak, termasuk anak usia toddler sesuai dengan usia dan karakteristiknya. Tujuan:  Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran perkembangan bahasa anak usia 12-24 bulan. Metode: Penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif dengan sampel 94 responden yang diambil dengan purposive sampling. Alat ukur yang digunakan adalah Kuesioner Pra Skrinning Perkembangan (KPSP). Analisis yang digunakan analisis univariat untuk melihat distribusi frekuensi karakteristik responden, dan gambaran perkembangan bahasa anak usia 12-24 bulan. Hasil: Responden sebagian besar berada pada kelompok usia 26-35 tahun (63,8%), pendidikan terakhir adalah SMA (59,6%), mayoritas responden adalah Ibu Rumah Tangga (IRT) (84,0%), sebagian besar anak responden berjenis kelamin laki-laki (52,1%), anak responden sebagian besar berada pada usia 24 bulan (29,8%). Perkembangan bahasa anak usia 12-24 bulan mayoritas dalam kategori sesuai perkembangan namun ada masing-masing 1 anak (1,1%) usia 12-14 bulan dan usia 21-23 bulan yang mengalami perkembangan bahasa yang tidak sesuai perkembangan. Kesimpulan: Penelitian ini mengharapkan agar ibu yang mempunyai anak usia 12-24 bulan, tetap melakukan stimulasi untuk mengoptimalkan perkembangan bahasa anak.

Abstract

Pemberian ASI merupakan hal yang penting dalam tumbuh kembang bayi. Dukungan ibu kandung merupakan salah satu yang paling mampu memberikan pengaruh kepada ibu menyusui untuk memaksimalkan pemberian ASI eksklusif. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan dukungan ibu kandung dengan keberhasilan ASI eksklusif pada primipara di Puskesmas Payung Sekaki Kota Pekanbaru. Metode penelitian ini bersifat deskriptif korelasi dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Sampel dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode purposive sampling dan diperoleh responden berjumlah 96 primipara dengan bayi usia 2-11 bulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada hubungan antara dukungan ibu kandung dengan keberhasilan ASI eksklusif pada primipara di Puskesmas Payung Sekaki Kota Pekanbaru, berdasarkan uji chi-square dengan koefisien korelasi 0,000, p value < 0,05. Mayoritas dukungan yang diberikan ibu kandung dalam kategori tinggi dan primipara cenderung berhasil dalam pemberian ASI eksklusif. Semakin tinggi dukungan ibu kandung maka semakin tinggi tingkat keberhasilan dalam memberikan ASI eksklusif.  Dapat disimpulkan bahwa: ada hubungan antara dukungan ibu kandung dengan keberhasilan ASI eksklusif pada primipara di Puskesmas Payung Sekaki Kota Pekanbaru.
