Abstract

This research investigated about student’ perception and motivation of Google-meet on learning English during covid-19 period. The aim of this research is to investigate how are students’ perception and motivation in using Google-meet. In this research, qualitative approached used to investigate students’ perception and motivation. In this research uses questionnaire and interview to collecting the data. From the finding, the researcher found positive perception and high motivation of students of the use of Google-meet as media in learning English during Covid-19. The positive perception are good quality of interact, effective the teaching, saving the time and energy, eliminate inconvenience to practice English, and easy to use. In beside that the students’ high motivation are interesting of app, increase of ambition and awareness and also physical condition in intrinsic motivation. Meanwhile, get kew knowledge, social condition and supporting facilities in extrinsic motivation. Keywords: Perception, Motivation, Google Meet, E-Learning

Abstract

This study addresses how writing games improve acceleration students’ writing narrative achievement, also observe how students’ behavior during playing the games and also the teacher on conducting the games along the research. This study has been conducted in acceleration students. It uses classroom action research, the data analyzed from qualitative and quantitative data. The qualitative data are about teacher’s interview and students’ questionnaire, while the quantitative data is about their scores on writing narrative. To solve the problem, the teacher has implemented Writing Games as a technique. Writing Games contain of games which tend to writing ability and in this case, the teacher chose two kinds of writing games; they are “Silly Story” and “What’s Next?”. “Silly Story” focuses on students’ ability on writing sentences and “What’s Next?” focuses on students’ ability on making paragraph. This research consists of two cycles and each of it has planning, action, observation and reflection. These findings implicate that acceleration students were interested with writing games and involved in it well. However, during the research, especially in the first cycle, there was still one group was less active in “Silly Story” because they could not discuss each other and the group was quiet big.

Abstract

This research investigated the most dominant issue experienced by EFL oral class presentation in their vocal class performance and identifying the extent of the students' difficulties in delivering material. The method used was the case study approach. In gaining specific data and information, the researchers collected the data by classroom observation and interviews of English students at Universitas Islam Negeri Sultan Maulana Hasanuddin Banten. The result shows that a significantly prominent matter faced by the students in doing a presentation is the explanation aspect and Self-control, getting nervous and unconfident.

Abstract

This paper discusses the implementation of WhatsApp as one of the current beneficial devices to assist students in communicative language learning. It allows them to engage actively in online conversation and create confidence to use English in daily communication through two forms of conversation such as independent and dependent conversation. The first type assists students in interacting among themselves to discuss curios interesting topics, whereas teachers are not involved in their online dialogues. The later, however, acquire, teacher to guide the whole processes, and they are actively participating in the online discussion. This media can help students build their confidence and motivation to learn. Based on the question are distributed to the subject, it revealed that they felt confident, independence, enthusiasm, and having a positive attitude to learn English using application, hence, WhatsApp is one of the recent technologies that can be used in language teaching.

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this research is to learn more about the cultural value of the novel Charlotte’s Web - E.B White. The qualitative descriptive technique was used in this study, which is based on the literary anthropology approach. The information was gathered by carefully reading the text, identifying, and categorizing it. The goal of this study is to help find the friendship depicted in the novel Charlotte's Web. This study focuses on the many forms of friendship and how they are depicted in the novel. W. D. Ross (1999) theory was used to identify and classify the data, while Robert Stanton's (1965) theory was utilized to analyze the friendship depicted in the novel Charlotte's Web. The findings of this study reveal three forms of friendship in the characters represented. The three forms of friendship are as follows: 1) friendship of utility, 2) friendship of pleasure, and 3) friendship of kindness.

Abstract

The focus of this research was to develop a system of environmental education (EE) skills development for secondary school teachers, which was carried out using qualitative approaches. The data were obtained by the Eco-School Operational Teachers Questionnaire and a standardized interview with the experts of the Eco-School Teachers and the Eco-School Teachers. Results of this study showed that the majority of informants had an intermediate level of EE competence in 6 parts: environmental awareness, basic understanding of EE, responsibility for EE instructor updating, EE preparation and service, support for EE learning, and EE assessment. The EE development was produced to cultivate educators out of a variety of subjects to carry out interoperable learning in order to improve the environment of students before preserving or resolving society environmental issues. This systematically consisted of 5 steps including: analyzing the environmental policy covering national, educational area, and school policies; studying the community environmental problem; designing the environmental learning project; identifying the learning standard; and performing the integrated lesson plan. Authentic assessment has confirmed the efficiency of innovation, both internal and external skills

Abstract

This research seeks to investigate the role of parents in the success of children's education. It is intended to evaluate parents' role and evaluate the participation of parents in the success of elementary school students in learning English. The qualitative approach was used in this study to derive the findings by using a questionnaire and documentation from the research subject. In this report, there are 28 students and parents involved. Furthermore, the data processing method is used to accumulate the data, reduce the data, show the data, and make a conclusion. The outcome of this research is a perfect reflection of the standards of English learning success by parents. In learning vocabulary, parents understand the limitations and challenges of their children. Parents' role is also excellent; 91 percent of parents help children learn English provides benefits, and positively affect children. Then, 23 percent of parents are only interested in getting support at home with children's education; therefore, the family or siblings can help unless the child has problems.

Abstract

Self-management techniques can be used to improve behavior, control self, and time management strategies of entrepreneurs. The implementation program is carried out in Ciujung Damai Kragilan Housing with large traders. Activities are carried out with licensing for MSMEs (micro, small and medium enterprises) affected by the Covid-19 PPKM. This activity is carried out using stages such as self-observation, self-evaluation, giving reinforcement, and behavior. The programs in this activity are observation, interviews, and data collection. Research time is for 1 month. The number of MSME entrepreneurs that will be studied is 3 people. The achievements in this study were greatly improved with self-management techniques. The use of techniques by MSME entrepreneurs is more useful and time is not wasted. Strategic management in self-management techniques is able to make MSMEs gain good self-control. The effectiveness of the time set can run efficiently. And change life to the maximum than before. The recommendation used in SMEs is to use self-management techniques as the main factor in time management.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to find neologisms formed during the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic, as well as to categorize the content terms and describe the neologisms' word-formation processes. The qualitative method was used in this study, which was based on a content analysis approach. The focus of this study was on online articles and news portal websites that focused on the lexical problem of language used in the production of neologisms, with the goal of enriching the understanding of neologism as a study of analytical issue during the coronavirus pandemic. It was gathered using document reading and note-taking approaches. In addition, the referential identity technique was employed to examine the data in this study. The findings of this study demonstrate that 28 neologisms were discovered during the research process. There are three types of content words that have been discovered: nouns, verbs, and adjectives. Borrowing, derivation, compounding, clipping, blending, coinage, and multiple processes are among the seven categories of word-formation processes identified in this study. Finally, it can draw some meaningful results about the use of morphology learning strategies to engage the teaching and learning process so that learners can consistently achieve learning objectives.

Abstract

The aims of this study was to determine whether the system is divided 'maro' results affect the income of farmers and also to find out the difference in income for results before and after using the 'maro' profit sharing system. The method of research used is quantitative research. The approach uses the survey method. Based on the results of the analysis obtained from the hypothesis test done by comparing t arithmetic with t table which is shows that t arithmetic of 16.207> from t table of 2.639 and a significance level of 0,000 <0.005 this shows that Ho rejected and Ha accepted which means that there is a positive influence between 'maro' profit-sharing systemt through income of the farmers. Figures for the coefficient of determination performed on the test Determination is obtained R square adjust value of 0.746. It means that the profit sharing system affects welfare society by 74.6%.
