Abstract

Training on the Utilization of Corn Cobs as Media for Making Janggel Mushrooms in the village ofgantiwarno, East LampungAbstractMajority of the people in Pemberwarno village livelihood as farmers, both as corn, cassava, and rice farmers. Abstract

Concidentally educator in chosed instruction model influence of communicate skill level and concept’s mastery. Communicate skill and concept’s mastery to training by instruction model appropriate would be accompany student for more significant instruction. The research for get a effective instruction model in increase communicate skill and concept’s mastery to acid-based materials. Learning Cycle 3E model consist from 3 phase : Exploration, Explanation, Elaboration. Sample in research is students in senior high school state 1 pekalongan, Class XI sains one and XI sains four, even semester  school year 20012-2013 have a same characteristics. The research is kuasi-experiment method with non equivalent pretest and posttest control group design. Effectiveness LC 3E measure and based on significant gain increase. The research indicated average value N-gain communicate skill. For control and experiment class each 0,55 and 0,66 and average N-gain concept’s mastery for control and experiment class 0,53 and 0,65. Based on hypothesis test, know that class with LC 3E instruction have communicate skill and concept’s mastery more high than class with convensional instruction. In this matter , indicated that LC 3E effective to increase communicate skill and concept’s mastery.Kata kunci : keterampilan mengkomunikasikan, model Learning Cycle 3E, penguasaan konsep

Abstract

This study aims to 1) Know students' initial cognitive abilities in acid-base material, 2) Know students' cognitive enhancements in acid-base material, 3) Know the effectiveness of learning 5E Learning cycle in improving students' cognitive on acid-base material. Learning Cycle 5E learning model consists of 5 phases, namely Engagment phase, exploration, explaination, elaboration, and evaluation. Traditional learning models follow learning that is commonly used by teachers in everyday learning. This research is an experimental study with the number of samples in the experimental class using 30E learning cycle learning models as many as 30 students and control classes using traditional learning models of 30 students. The population in this study were all students of class XI SMA N 1 Pekalongan, Lampung. The sample in this study were students of Pekalongan 1 Public High School class XI IPA1 and XI IPA4 who had the same cognitive abilities. This study uses a quasi-experimental method with Non Equivalent (Pretest and Posttest) Control Group Design. The effectiveness of the 5E Learning Cycle learning model was measured based on the increase in students' cognitive abilities significantly. The results showed that the Learning Cycle 5E learning model was better at improving students' cognitive compared to Traditional methods. This can be seen from the average gain score of students' cognitive abilities for Traditional learning models and the 5E Learning Cycle Learning Model 0.53 and 0.65 respectively.

Abstract

Student Worksheet (LKPD) is a supporting tool as a tool to facilitate students in carrying out learning and learning activities well. So that it is expected to form interactions in the form of critical and creative thinking. This study aims to form a synchronized LKPD using the 7E learning model which is expected to be able to empower students' critical and creative thinking. The 7E learning model consists of seven well-organized phases, namely eliciting, engagement, exploring, explaining, elaborating, evaluating, and expanding. The method used in this study is qualitative research using a test in the form of 10 description questions and questionnaires to be conducted on 28 fourth grade students A SD N 1 Labuhan Ratu Bandar Lampung, as well as a literature study. study by reviewing several journals relevant to the topic. study. The results of data analysis obtained in the form of students who are less interested in participating in the ongoing learning process because the media delivered by educators is less attractive and seems monotonous. The average of the researchers' findings from their investigation of the test recapitulation is 23.11%, with very low standards. In addition to tests, researchers also distributed questionnaires to find out the extent of students' critical thinking and creative thinking skills, so that there was a questionnaire recapitulation result that researchers averaged 57.43% with fewer criteria.

Abstract

The problem in this study is that learning still uses the lecture method, there are still elementary schools that have not used audio-visual media, there are still educators who cannot operate audio-visual media, there are still students who have grades below the KKM. The aims of this study were (1) to analyze the characteristics of discovery learning-based audio-visual media to improve thematic learning outcomes of Class III Cluster IV Gadingrejo students and (2) to analyze the effectiveness of discovery learning-based audio-visual media to improve thematic learning outcomes of Class III Cluster IV students Gadingrejo. The type of this research is Borg & Gall Modification Budiyono's development research (R&D). The population in this study was all Class III Cluster IV Gadingrejo students with a total of 176 students. The subjects of this study amounted to 21 students. The results of the study can be seen from the differences in thematic learning outcomes in the experimental class. The average pretest score for the experimental class was 54.28 and the posttest average score for the experimental class was 79.04. Likewise, it can be seen from the average value of N-Gain or increased knowledge of the experimental class is 0.4642 which is in the "Moderate" category, meaning that the development of audio-visual media based on discovery learning is effective for improving the thematic learning outcomes of Class III Students of Cluster IV Gadingrejo. The tcount results obtained a value of 3.7415 while t table (5%; n-1) is 2.0860, these results can be interpreted that the results of students' posttests are better than the pretest results of students who study using audio-visual media based on discovery learning.

Abstract

Critical thinking ability is a 21st-century learning skill that students must possess. Students with low critical thinking skills will encounter difficulties in problem-solving. The critical thinking skills of students are still lacking due to the use of inadequate teaching materials that do not meet the students' needs. This research aims to analyze the need for student worksheets (LKPD) oriented towards the Discovery Learning model to enhance students' critical thinking skills. This research is of a qualitative analysis type. The study was conducted at MIN 2 West Lampung. The subjects of this research were 1 teacher and 25 students in Grade VA. Data collection was conducted through observation and interviews. The activities carried out during the observation phase involved observing teaching and learning activities, analyzing lesson plans (RPP), and analyzing the learning resources used in the classroom. During the interview phase, the research results indicate that both teachers and students require student worksheets (LKPD) oriented towards discovery learning that can enhance critical thinking skills.
