Abstract

This research purpose is to develop student worksheet with scientific approach on solubility and constant solubility product material. The research methods used Research and Development methods.  From the teacher assessment and students response over student worksheet that has been developed, it is obtained the percentage of teacher assesment on the aspects of suitability of content, readability, and attractiveness are 90,90%; 92%; and 87,14%. The results of students responses to the readability and attractiveness are also very high, with the percentage until 87,87% and 86,42%.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan LKS dengan pendekatan scientific pada materi kelarutan dan hasil kali kelarutan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode Penelitian dan Pengembangan. Dari hasil penilaian guru dan tanggapan siswa terhadap LKS yang dikembangkan, diperoleh persentase penilaian guru terhadap aspek kesesuaian isi, keterbacaan, dan kemenarikan sebesar 90,90%; 92%; dan 87,14%. Hasil tanggapan siswa terhadap keterbacaan dan kemenarikanjuga sangat tinggi yaitu dengan persentase 87,87% dan 86,42%.Kata kunci: kelarutan dan hasil kali kelarutan, LKS, pendekatan scientific

Abstract

This research aimed to describe the ability to draw conclusions and apply concepts in acid-base material through the application of guided inquiry learning model for high cognitive ability students, medium, and low. The subjects were students of class XI science 2 SMA Negeri 1 Bandar Sribhawono year 2012/2013. This study was pre-experimental research design with one-shot case study. Data analysis used descriptive analysis. Based on the analysis of data it is concluded (1) The ability to apply a case, in high level group just small part were very good, and almost all were good. In intermediate level group, just small part were very good, mostly were good and almost all were enough. In low level group, just small part were very good, half were good, almost all were enough, and just small part were less. (2) ability to drawing conclusions, in high level group almost all were very good and mostly were good. In intermediete level group, almost all were very well, almost all were well, and almost all were enough. Abstract

This study aimed to develop and describe teachers responses, and supporting factors and constraints on development assessment. The design of this research was RD according to Borg Gall. The instrument was developed in the form of essay that measures the basic level of Science Process Skills (SPS) students observing, communicating, predicting, inferencing, and classifying. Based on the results of expert validation on the content suitability aspect of the material with basic competence (KD) and SPS indicators, readability, and construction were categorized in very high criteria with the percentage of 89.2%, 84.6%, and 96% respectively. The percentage of teacher responses to the content suitability aspects of the material with KD and SPS indicator was 90.2%, readability aspect was 89.2%, and construction aspect was 86.67% in the very high category.It could be concluded that this instrument assessment can be used to measure SPS.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan, mendeskripsikan tanggapan guru, faktor-faktor pendukung dan kendala pada pengembangan instrumen. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah desain RD menurut Borg Gall. Instrumen yang dikembangkan berupa soal uraian yang mengukur Keterampilan Proses Sains (KPS) tingkat dasar siswa yaitu mengamati, mengkomunikasikan, memprediksi, menginferensi, dan mengklasifikasi. Berdasarkan hasil validasi ahli terhadap aspek kesesuaian isi materi dengan Kompetensi Dasar (KD) dan indikator KPS, serta keterbacaan, dan konstruksi berkategori sangat tinggi dengan persentase secara berurutan sebesar 89,2%, 84,6%, dan 96% dengan kategori sangat tinggi. Hasil tanggapan guru terhadap aspek kesesuaian isi materi dengan KD dan indikator KPS sebesar 90,2%, aspek keterbacaan sebesar 89,2%, dan aspek konstruksi sebesar 86,67% dengan kategori sangat tinggi. Instrumen hasil pengembangan ini dapat digunakan untuk mengukur KPS.Kata kunci :instrumen asesmen kognitif, KPS, larutan elektrolit dan non elektrolit

Abstract

This research was aimed to describe the effectiveness of scientific approach in increasing student’s evaluative thinking skill in acid-base subject matter. The population of this research was all students grade XI in science class of SMA Negeri 3 Metro at second semester of academic year 2013-2014. Sampling was taken by purposive sampling and obtained class of  XI IPA 3 dan XI IPA 5 as sample.  The research method used quasi experimental with non equivalent control group design. The effectiveness of scientific approach in the learning was showed by the significant n-gain difference between the experimental class and the control class. The result showed that average n-gain of  evaluative thinking skills of control class was 0,25 and 0,56 for experiment class. From the hypotesis testing, it was concluded that  scientific approach was effective in increasing the evaluative thinking skill in acid-base subject matter.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan efektivitas pendekatan ilmiah dalam mening­kat­kan keterampilan berpikir evaluatif siswa pada materi asam-basa.  Populasi da­lam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI IPA SMA Ne­geri 3 Metro semes­ter genap Tahun 2013-2014.  Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan purposive sam­pling dan diperoleh kelas XI IPA 3 dan XI IPA 5 sebagai sampel.  Metode pe­ne­litian ini adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan Non Equivalent Con­trol Group Design.  Efektivitas pendekatan ilmiah dalam pembelajaran ini ditunjukkan oleh perbedaan  n-gain yang signifikan antara kelas kon­­trol dan kelas eks­perimen.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rata-rata n-gain  keterampi­lan berpi­kir evaluatif kelas control adalah 0,25 dan 0,56 untuk kelas eksperimen.  Dari pengujian hipotesis, disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan pendekatan ilmiah efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir evaluatif pada materi asam-basa.Kata kunci: asam basa, berpikir evaluatif, pendekatan ilmiah.

Abstract

This research is intended to describe the effectiveness of guided inquiry learning model applied in acid and alkali subject to improve students’ presentation and drawing inference skill.  This research used Pre-experimental method by one-group pretest-posttest design.  The subjects of this research are the second semester students of class XI IPA 1 SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Bandar Lampung in academic year 2012-2013.  The effectiveness of guided inquiry learning model showed by the increase of pretest and posttest scores that can be seen by the n-Gain value.  The result showed that n-Gain value average of students’ presentation skill is 0,45 and the students ‘drawing inference skill is 0,39.  It can be conclude that guided inquiry learning model applied in acid and alkali subject is effective in improving students’ presentation and drawing inference skill in medium criteria.Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mendeskripsikan efektivitas model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing pada materi asam-basa dalam meningkatkan keterampilan mengkomunikasikan dan inferensi.  Penelitian ini menggunakan metode pre-experimental dengan One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design.  Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI IPA1 SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Bandar Lampung semester ganjil tahun ajaran 2012-2013.  Efektivitas model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing ditunjukkan oleh adanya peningkatan nilai pretest dan posttest yang dilihat dari nilai n-gain.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata nilai n-gain keterampilan mengkomunikasikan sebesar 0,45 dan keterampilan inferensi sebesar 0,39.  Dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing pada materi asam-basa efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan mengkomunikasikan dan inferensi dengan kriteria sedang.Kata kunci: inferensi, keterampilan mengkomunikasikan, pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to describe the effectiveness of improving the cooperative ability and becoming a good listener with using hypnoteaching in solubility and solubility product.The research was done in class XI IPA2 State Senior High School 13 Bandar Lampung. This study used a pre-experimental method with One Shoot Case Study Design. The effectiveness of hypnoteaching is measured by the percentage of average research finding in each meeting.  After observation in five meetings, the average percentage of cooperative ability has improved significantly with percentage 44.85%, 50.00%, 61.25%, 63.53%, and 65.00%. Then, becoming a good listener with percentage 66.67%, 70.56%, 73.13%, 74.71%, and 81.11% has improved significantly too. Therefore, it can be concluded that learning with hypnoteaching is significant to improve cooperative ability and becoming a good listener.Keywords: learning of hypnoteaching, cooperative ability, becoming a good listener.

Abstract

The aim of this research was to describe the effectiveness of predict-observe-explain (POE) learning cycle model in thermochemicalof communication skill and mastery of the material concept.  Students who became the subject of this research was1 Science class grade XI SMA  Gajah Mada Bandar Lampung Academic Year 2012/2013.  This research used the pre-experimental method and one group pretest-posttest design.  The effectiveness of POE learning model was determined based on the average of n-Gain(normalize gain).The results of this research showed that the average value of n-Gain of communication skill was 0.4 and mastery of the material concept was 0.7.  Thus, it can be concluded that the POE learning cycle model in thermochemical concept effective to enhance of communication skill and mastery of the material concept in medium category.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan efektivitas model siklus pembelajaran Predict-Observe-Explain (POE) pada materi pokok terkomia dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berkomunikasi dan penguasaan konsep siswa. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa siswi kelas XI IPA 1 SMA Gajah Mada Bandar Lampung Tahun Pelajaran 2012-2013. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian Pre-Experimental, dan menggunakan one-group pretest-posttest design. Efektivitas model siklus pembelajaran POE diukur berdasarkan nilai n-gain (gain ternormalisasi). Dimana rerata n-Gain untuk keterampilan berkomunikasi siswa 0,4 dan penguasaan konsep 0,7. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa model siklus pembelajaran  POE efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berkomunikasi dan penguasaan konsep siswa pada materi termokimia.Kata kunci: keterampilan berkomunikasi, model siklus belajar poe, penguasaan konsep.

Abstract

This study was aimed to describe the effectiveness of the PLGI model to improve concepts mastery of students on hydrolyzing salt topics. The method in this study was quasi-experiment, a purposive sampling technique was used in determining the samples thus XI MIPA 1 was chosen as an experiment class and XI MIPA 2 was a control class. The data analysis technique uses the non-parametric statistical test, the Mann-Whitney U test. Based on the results of statistical calculation that the average concepts mastery n-gain of the experimental class was 0.76 and the average n-gain control class was moderate, 0.47. The Mann-Whitney U test result showed a significant difference between the average n-gain in the experimental class and the control class with a significant value of 0.000. Based on the results of these studies it can be concluded that the PLGI model is effective to improve the mastery of the concepts of hydrolyzing salt topic.Keywords: hydrolyzing salt, PLGI model, concepts masteryPenelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan efektivitas model PLGI untuk meningkatkan penguasaan konsep oleh siswa pada materi garam menghidrolisis. Desain dalam penelitian ini adalah quasi experiment, pengambilan sampel dipilih dengan teknik purposive sampling, didapatkan kelas XI MIPA 1 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan XI MIPA 2 sebagai kelas kontrol. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji statistik non parametrik yaitu uji Mann-Whitney U. Berdasarkan hasil dari perhitungan statistik rata-rata n-gain penguasaan konsep kelas eksperimen berkriteria tinggi yaitu 0,76 dan rata-rata n-gain kelas kontrol berkriteria sedang yaitu 0,47. Hasil uji Mann-Whitney U menunjukkan perbedaan yang signifikan antara rata-rata n-gain pada kelas eksperimen dengan kelas kontrol dengan nilai signifikannya 0,000. Abstract

This reseach aimed to develop instructional video on additives and addictive-psychotropic material that have religius content and environmental awareness, describe the characteristics, the teacher and student responses, and the problems when developing the instructional video.  This research method was research and development from Sugiyono (2008).  The results showed that the instructional video of additives and addictive-psychotropic that have religius content and environmental awareness.  Based on teacher responses of the developed instructional videoin the content’s suitability aspect was very high (90%), and the attractiveness aspect was very high (85%).  Based on student responses of the developed instructional video in the attractiveness aspect was very high (86,92%). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan video pembelajaran pada materi zat aditif dan adiktif-psikotropika bermuatan nilai ketuhanan dan kecintaan terhadap lingkungan, mendeskripsikan karakteristik, tanggapan guru dan siswa, serta kendala-kendala yang dihadapi ketika mengembangkan video pembelajaran tersebut.  Metode penelitian ini adalah penelitian dan pengembangan dari Sugiyono (2008).  Hasil penelitian ini adalah video pembelajaran zat aditif dan adiktif-psikotropika bermuatan nilai ketuhanan dan kecintaan terhadap lingkungan.  Berdasarkan tanggapan guru terhadap video pembelajaran yang dikembangkan memiliki aspek kesesuaian isi sangat tinggi yaitu 90%, dan aspek kemenarikan sangat tinggi yaitu 85%.  Berdasaran tanggapan siswa terhadap video pembelajaran yang dikembangkan memiliki aspek kemenarikan sangat tinggi yaitu 86,92%.Kata kunci:nilai ketuhanan dan cinta lingkungan, video pembelajaran, zat aditif dan adiktif-psikotropika.

Abstract

This research was aimed to describe the effectiveness of discovery learning model to increase student’s flexibility thinking skills on chemical equilibrium subject matter. The population of this research was students in grade XI science class of MAN 1 Metro whose sit in odd semester of academic year 2013-2014. The samples were taken by purposive sampling technique and these were XI2 and XI3 of science class. The method of the research was quasi experimental with Non Equivalent Control Group Design. The effectiveness of discovery learning model was showed by the significant difference of n-gain between control and experiment class.  The result showed that the average n-gain of student’s flexibility thinking skills of control class was 0,21 and 0,33 for experiment class.
