Abstract

Floating bargepower plant able to supply amount of electricity to undeveloped island in Indonesia. In this research, the generator will be use in the power plant is dual-fuel engine. The process was determine the engine and every equipment along with its configuration then arrange the equipment. The result, MAN18V51/60DF selected along with its system configuration and its general arrangement. The final design enable 7.06 days of operation with daily average load (64.76 MW) or 4.57 days with continues 100 MW load. In the end, the mobile power plant can be built on Damen B32SPo9832 Barge and comply with the regulationfloating bargepower plant able to supply amount of electricity to undeveloped island in Indonesia. Abstract

resto-barge is a barge which converted to floating restaurant, as an answer lacking orders of barge recently. The location is taking in Gili Trawangan, Lombok. The purpose is to design and calculate sewage, sanitary and garbage management systems. Also to calculate bill of material. The sanitary systems have a Taiko UH-2.0 Hydrophore pressure tank. The sewage systems have an Ebara 60 m3/h with meter head 15 m. Total cost spent to build those systems is IDR 115.244.500.

Abstract

In the field of transportation, ship is relatively cheap then others transportation. However, the ship still has constraints on speed and fuel consumption. Therefore, the ship has many variations of shape to achieve optimal condition. For example the body of ships with double hulls (catamaran) or three (trimaran), that using foil to make ship can have a smaller resistance to achieve optimal efficiency. The purpose of this research in order to plan the maximum foil shape which can produce high force of buoyance on the catamaran boat (25 meters) and also to determine the type of hydrofoil that produces maximum buoyance force using CFD method.

Abstract

Each ship carrying a hydrocarbon must be equipped with an inert gas system. On tankers, the function of inert gas is to prevent fires or explosions caused by oxygen levels contained in cargo tanks. Inert gas is produced by cleaning the exhaust gas boiler using a sea water scrubber system. However, seawater has corrosive properties that cause the use of material in scrubber system components to be resistant to corrosion. Therefore, through this research a modification of the sea water scrubber system was made into a freshwater scrubber system. The advantages of a freshwater scrubber system include a low corrosive level that causes the use of inexpensive materials. Modification of seawater scrubber systems into fresh water causes additional components to be made, including adding NaOH tank, expansion tank of freshwater, seawater pumps, freshwater pumps, NaOH pumps, heat exchanger, and wash water treatment unit. Economic calculations are carried out to determine the installation costs and operational costs needed from this modification. Based on the technical and economical analysis, modification of the sea water scrubber system into fresh water inert gas system of Crude Oil Tanker 85,000 DWT can be done with an estimated installation cost of 1.5 Bill. Rupiahs.
