Abstract

Thalassemia is a red blood disorder which is one of the causes of death and illness in Indonesia. This disease occurs due to genetic disorder that affect the inability of a person to synthesize globin chains. A globin chain is one of the constituents of hemoglobin so that abnormality of composition of hemoglobin will cause abnormality of elasticity and lysis of the erythrocytes. This disorder has various clinical manifestations ranging from anemia, pale, fatigue, pain, abnormalities in the bone (thalassemic facie) to jaundice and hepatosplenomegaly. Generally, the diagnosis of thalassemia uses a complete blood count including calculating the number of erythrocytes, hemoglobin levels, hematocrit levels, MCV and MCH, blood smear examination and hemoglobin electrophoresis. The genetic examination on molecular-based diagnostic approach is an examination to get a result of changes in gene sequences or genetic mutations that will affect the difference of clinical manifestation and severity of thalassemia patients. Molecular diagnosis can be made in an effort to improve the effective management and the quality of life of patients.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of ownership structure on audit quality. The research was done by testing the effect of variable ownership concentrations (OwCon), foreign ownership (ForOwn), institutional ownership (InsOwn), and managerial ownership (ManOwn) on audit quality (AuQua). In addition, this study also used two control variables namely firm size (Size) and leverage (Lev). The population used in this study are all companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) in the period of 2011. While the sampling method used was purposive sampling method. Overall, the sample used in this study amounted to 166 companies. From the analysis performed in this study, it can be concluded that the all variable OwCon, ForOwn, InsOwn, and ManOwn significantly influence AuQua. So, from four hypotheses that proposed in this study, all of them are accepted.

Abstract

Short stature (stunting) is a nutritional problem that has implications on children’s growth problems. The consequences to the children are having lower length or height comparing to other children at their age. The results of nutritional status measurement show that less than -2 to -3 of standard deviations (stunted) and less than -3 of standard deviations (severely stunted). This condition occurs because the golden period is not achieved in the first thousand days of a child's life. Stunting can be caused by various factors like the conditions of mother or prospective mother, fetal period, infancy period or on the first thousand days period of life. Direct actors that influence stunting such as inadequate food intake and infectious disease, or the child's health status.

Abstract

Desa Handiwung secara umum memiliki keadaan topografi daerah topris dengan kawasan lahan pasang surut atau rawa – rawa. Kendala yang dihadapi pada lahan rawa yaitu berupa genangan air dan banjir yang datangnya tidak menentu, tingginya tingkat kemasaman dan rendahnya kesuburan tanah menyebabkan sulitnya bercocok tanam sayur – sayuran dilahan tersebut. Potensi yang dimiliki oleh Desa Handiwung sendiri yaitu dibidang pertanian tanaman pangan seperti padi. Perlunya alternatif lain untuk mendukung ketahanan pangan tidak hanya padi saja namun dapat di tanami sayur – sayuran yaitu dengan sistem hidroponik yang dapat digunakan penduduk sekitar untuk bercocok tanam serta dapat memanfaatkan pekarangan sekitar yang tidak memakan banyak tempat.

Abstract

Urban farming is expected not to require much time to monitor plant growth. Therefor smart agriculture using internet of things should have started to be implemented. In this study the agriculture design hydroponic pakcoy plants, famers from Green village  Cilegon city to monitor and control pakcoy plants, replacing the previous manual system. The installation of a microcontroller with the internet of things facility and several sensors for several parameter s of pakcoy plants has been installed in a on-line monitoring dan controlling hydroponic system, namely Wemos Mega 2560, DHT12, Max 6675, PH-4502C, TDS DF Robot Grafity and Ultrasonic HC-SR04 . Data from sensor is monitored and controlled bresult cam be known via smartpohone. The result of the study show that sensors can raplace measuring instrument used in manual farming and control of acidity leveles and nutrition concentarations can be controleed good.
