Abstract

This paper proves that the fundamental problem in learning is to use a bank-style teaching model that castrates the creative potential of students and leads to authoritarian feudalistic teaching. The method used is analytical descriptive with the approach of social history and education science. The result is that independence in learning by using learning models is the choice of teachers because this model can build and liberate students' creativity, even with this model education can develop the mission of humanizing humans, and can print generations of quality both scientifically and morally.

Abstract

This paper discusses the idea of a new era of visionary Islamic education 4.0, this study is a philosophical normative, and philosophical, substantial approach. The method used is analytical descriptive supported by authoritative sources. This study offers an offer on Islamic education to get out of the problems of Islamic education that occur in its implementation, both the dichotomy of science, exclusivism, and only in the form of teaching that does not teach students. So this paper proves the importance of a new era of Islamic education that follows the 4.0 industrial revolution by participating in self-discipline by creating non-dichotomic education, inclusivism, and changing from teaching to learning, with a digital basis so that Islamic education is able to develop its potential, and learn to complete all life problems or with the term learning how to learn.

Abstract

Tulisan ini membahas esensi guru dalam visi misi pendidikan karakter dalam perspektif Islam. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif-analitis dengan pendekatan sejarah dan ilmu pendidikan Islam. Studi ini menyimpulkan bahwa esensi guru pada visi misi pendidikan karakter dalam kajian Islam sangat urgen. Hal tersebut disebabkan beberapa indikator, yaitu: guru dalam kajian Islam merangkum semua aspek pendidikan karakter sebagai ustadz, mu’allim, murabbi, mursyid, mudarris, dan muaddib. Tanggung jawab pendidik bukan hanya sebatas tanggung jawab akhlak, tetapi juga rol model bagi kehidupan peserta didik, bahkan mempertanggungjawabkan atas segala tugas yang dilaksa­na­kannya kepada Allah. Guru pada pendidikan karakter dalam Islam sangat komprehensif dari apa yang dirumuskan oleh ilmuwan Barat. Guru profesional bukan hanya memiliki kompetensi akademik, pedagogi, kepribadian, dan sosial, melainkan memiliki misi pengabdian, penyucian diri, mengembangkan ilmu secara terus menerus sambil mendekatkan diri kepada Allah, senantiasa mengingatkan masyarakat dari melakukan kekeliruan, serta mampu memberikan pencerahan intelektual, moral, dan spiritual.
