Abstract

A safe, convenient, and comfortable pedestrian network in the Kebon Nanas area is an important component that should be provided to improve the effectiveness of citizen mobility. Currently the availability of pedestrian network has not been able to meet the needs of the community both in terms of quantity and standard provision. The purpose of this research is to identify the need for revitalization of pavement in the area around IPN, Kebon Nanas East Jakarta. The approach method used in this research is descriptive quantitative analysis through direct measurement method in the field by Traffic Counting (TC) for vehicles and pedestrians, through which the study is reviewed based on development criteria. Sampling was conducted on eight points. The conclusions of this study are (1) the traffic volume in the vicinity of the IPN road is high enough for a community road class, while the pavement capacity is not standardized, thus affecting the safety and safety of pedestrians; (2) Based on field measurements, the number of pedestrians is very minimal,  2 persons/ minute/ meter, but it is necessary to revitalize to obtain adequate capacity according to the volume of pedestrians by considering safety and security; (3) Planning of pedestrian facility requirement in IPN and surrounding roads includes green lines, lighting, seating, safety fences, garbage cans, markers, shophouses and traffic signs.

Abstract

The School Safety Zone (ZoSS) is created to regulate traffic at certain times in areas close to schools to ensure the safety pedestrians in the area. However, this issue faces complex challenges, especially in schools located on strategic road corridors. The purpose of this study is to describe the traffic conditions of Ragunan Street, the factors that cause congestion on Ragunan Street at peak time and to describe the performance of the street located at the School Safety Zone (Zoss) of SMAN 28 Pasar Minggu, South Jakarta at peak times. The primary data source was obtained through traffic counting with a quantitative descriptive approach. The study population was passenger cars and motorbikes passing through Ragunan Street. The data analysis technique refers to the procedure for calculating urban roads according to the Indonesian Road Capacity Manual (MKJI) 1997. The results show that the performance of Ragunan Street is as follows; free flow speed of 57.52 km/hour, capacity 6,552 pcu/hour, the level of road service ranges from B to D. The degree of saturation is below 0.75 indicating the road capacity still meets the MKJI 1997 standard except for the direction of Kalibata-Pasar Minggu which scores 0.80 with a value of D. The speed in the ZoSS of SMAN 28 area is 57.52km/hour, significantly exceeding the maximum speed limit of 20-25 km/hour implying it is critical for pedestrians in the ZoSS area.

Abstract

This study aims to improve safety and security for vehicle users passing through the tunnel, identify the construction of underpasses at railroad crossings, minimize queue lengths and delays while crossing on Jalan Sultan Hasanudin, Pasar Tambun, Bekasi and improve road smoothness, and provide recommendations for the need for pedestrian facilities on the Jalan Sultan Hasanudin section. There is a potential safety risk for pedestrians, because there are no pedestrian crossing facilities. Then analyze the benefits of underpass construction on level crossings for road users.  The method used is descriptive quantitative analysis, namely in the form of calculating traffic performance, technical requirements of the railway line, the benefits of the underpass for train operations and the need for pedestrian crossing facilities. The results of the analysis identify the need for underpass maintenance costs for safety and security for passing vehicle users. It is necessary to add a zebra cross and pelican on Jalan Sultan Hasanudin on pedestrian facilities to cross, close the u-turn of the Ataqwa mosque which is moved to the u-turn access of the police station, south Tambun, then the construction of the tunnel is very useful for rail operations and road users.

Abstract

Latar belakang dilakukannya sosialisasi ini karena kurangnya pengetahuan personel yang bekerja di industri transportasi dan logistik di area Jakarta, Bogor, Depok dan Bekasi (JABODETABEK) terkait penanganan barang berbahaya. Hal ini sesuai dengan pengamatan dari tim pengabdi sehingga perlu dilakukan pembinaan tentang penanganan barang berbahaya pada multi moda transportasi. Tujuan dari pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah melakukan pencegahan bencana berupa kerusakan lingkungan dan properti pada multi moda transportasi melalui penanganan barang berbahaya sesuai dengan peraturan yang berlaku. Kegiatan pengabdian ini dilaksanakan pada tanggal 24 Juni 2021 ditujukan kepada mitra pengabdian yaitu pelaku moda transportasi sekaligus calon pembaca majalah report. Dialog dan diskusi melalui media daring merupakan metode yang dipilih dalam kegiatan sosialisasi ini. Kegiatan pengabdian ini menghasilkan peningkatan pemahaman masyarakat transportasi tentang pencegahan bencana melalui penanganan barang berbahaya yang sesuai dengan aturan berlaku sebesar 18,1% yaitu rata-rata pengetahuan pretest sebesar 59,41% dan posttest sebesar 77,5% terhadap 24 peserta yang berasal dari industri, lembaga pendidikan, dan umum

Abstract

Safety is one of the attributes of transportation in general and road transportation or traffic and road transportation in particular. Safety is something that is priceless, but few people are aware of maintaining their own safety. Road traffic safety is a condition where everyone avoids the risk of accidents during traffic caused by human, vehicles, roads and environment (RI Law No 2, 2009).  Many high school students violate traffic rules and lack understanding of traffic norms. Such as breaking traffic lights or running lights, driving a motorbike/car without a driver’s license, pillion not using a helmet, not turning on the lights during the day, not using a seat belt while driving. Because the understanding of the traffic norms in high school students has a big impact, according to the conditions that are increasing day by day, for this reason we propose participation in the form community service program in the form safety road socialization to students in grade 11 and 12 at SMAN 8 Jakarta. The socialization was carried out by explaining the importance of understanding traffic norms and obeying traffic regulations. Through this community service program, it is hoped that it can arouse the awareness of the hearts of students to increasingly obey traffic rules and understand more about traffic norms.

Abstract

The targets in this PkM activity are our partners, namely DTKJ, policy-making agencies and the public using transportation so that it can run more optimally. Transportation is a very important and strategic tool in accelerating the wheels of the economy, strengthening unity and integrity and affecting all aspects of national and state life. In Jakarta, the unresolved transportation problem is congestion, especially at certain points which are meeting centers from various directions, so it is very important to have signposted intersections to avoid conflicts that occur on the roads. Therefore, it is necessary to have a more in-depth study in determining the capacity of the road, the length of the vehicle queue, the estimated traffic volume, and the level of road service. Therefore, an assessment was carried out using the Vissim software where the assessment can be carried out with 3D simulation which will make it easier to analyze a road section and be able to find out the actual conditions that occur on that road segment. This PkM activity succeeded in introducing Socialization of the use of Vissim software which has not widely known by many people and providing an understanding of what Vissim simulation.
