Abstract

Kemajuan teknologi semakin berkembang. Inovasi produk terus dilakukan untuk mendapatkan produk yang efisien, simpel dan terjangkau. Keputusan untuk terus memperbarui keterampilan dengan meninggalkan cara-cara konvensional menuju modern adalah keputusan yang tepat agar usaha terus berjalan dan berkembang. Seperti halnya pengusaha batu bata merah konvensional dimana dari hari ke hari  angka permintaan pasar terus menurun ini diakibatkan oleh keputusan konsumen memilih batu bata ringan dari pada  batu bata merah. Kelebihan-kelebihan yang ditawarkan batu bata ringan ini menjadi alasan konsumen  untuk berpaling. Selain angka penjualan menurun, mahalnya tanah liat karena diperoleh dari luar wilayah desa dan  tingginya biaya produksi karena memakan waktu yang lama dalam  proses memproduksi batu bata merah  membuat pengusaha batu bata merah konvensional semakin menjerit. Keadaan ini mengharuskan pengusaha batu bata merah konvensional beralih memproduksi batu bata ringan. Namun, didalam peralihannya ke batu bata ringan pengusaha menemui  beberapa hambatan dan rintangan. Seperti  belum adanya keterampilan dalam pembuatan batu bata ringan, tidak diperkenalkannya teknologi serta wilayah pemasaran yang masih kecil. Dengan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini kami ingin mendampingi pengusaha batu bata merah konvensional untuk membantu mencari solusi segala masalah yang dihadapi dalam peralihan produknya.  Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan pada home industri Bapak Eka Prayogi dan Bapak Ahmad selama 3 Bulan dan akan  dievaluasi terhadap mutu produk bata ringan yang dihasilkan dan permintaan pasar terhadap batu bata ringan.

Abstract

Sauce is a complementary food, this food is usually coupled with fried foods, soupy foods and can also be used as a seasoning. Sauce made from tomatoes (if tomato sauce) is blended until smooth and cooked while adding spices to make it taste savory. The sauce's delicacy depends on the freshness of the fruit used, the right spice composition and the correct manufacturing procedure. Sauce in the market often does not include the composition of ingredients and food additives (BTM) such as food preservatives used not to mention we do not know the freshness of fruit and BTM doses added and the manufacturing procedures that are not necessarily clean and do not attach permits granted from the government . Fruits that are not fresh (rotten), doses of food additives (preservatives) added can cause various diseases in the body. Through this community service activity, it is expected that students can make their own tomato sauce by using fresh tomatoes, spices with the right amount and not using preservatives that are harmful to health. By making your own tomato sauce, besides being guaranteed cleanliness and health for your body, you can also save on spending money and be able to become skills for students to become entrepreneurs by producing home-made tomato sauce. In this community service activity there were 2 sessions conducted, the first was counseling about the danger of preservatives in food. The second session, the practice of making tomato sauce using fresh tomatoes, the right dosage of seasoning without using preservatives

Abstract

Rice husk waste has been thrown away and burned without any use, it has the potential to cause environmental pollution. This rice husk can actually be used, for manufacture of briquettes, but the lack of knowledge and skills of the people about processing rice husk waste into briquettes. The process of making briquettes does not require high technology and low cost. The training in manufacturing of charcoal briquettes is very useful which aims to make people in the area able to utilize rice husk waste to become a product of sustainable technology, namely charcoal briquettes which can be used as an alternative fuel instead of BBM, and also minimize the occurrence of environmental pollution. These activities include (1) socializing the using of rice husk into charcoal briquettes; (2) training to manufacture of chimneys to burn rice husk; (3) processing of rice husk into charcoal; (4) manufacturing charcoal briquettes; (5) applying the use of briquettes as fuel. These socialization and training activities have been successfully carried out in accordance with the planned activities that have been prepared, and received good reception from the local villagers seen from their presence and involvement in activities, and succeeded in providing special skills for local residents, especially farmers who were directly involved in making briquettes.

Abstract

The training activities of making liquid soap and car wash shampoos are intended to provide knowledge of the procedure of making liquid soap and shampoo car wash simply and can be done at home. Liquid soap that serves as a remover of dirt and fat on the plate is one of the needs in the household whose role cannot be replaced with other objects. By making your own liquid soap means saving the household budget for soap items by 50%. However, if it can mass produce means to create business opportunities. Our hope of this community service activity is that students can work by producing quality liquid soap that meets the standards for both personal and commercial consumption. In this community service there are 3 sessions conducted, the first is education about the definition of soap, soap origin, soap type and function. The second session is training on making liquid soap and car wash shampoos. In the manufacture of liquid soap the basic ingredients used are SLS, Texapon and Salt. Subsequently, added additives such as fragrances, preservatives, thickeners and dyes. After that the last session is to calculate the production cost to make liquid soap. Because using simple tools is expected students can try it at home.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah membentuk polimerisasi sebagai usaha untuk meningkatkan kualitas sifat mekanik maupun keawetan dengan proses impregnasi asap destilat kombinasi asam akrilat kedalam batang KKS bagian inti. Tahapan yang dilakukan pada penelitian ini adalah: pembuatan asap destilat suhu 2000C dari cangkang buah kelapa sawit, pemotongan kayu kelapa sawit posisi inti dari 2,4,6,8 meter dari atas tanah, Impregnasi KKS dengan asap destilat kombinasi asam akrilat, pengujian sifat mekanik, Photo SEM dan keawetan. Dari hasil penelitian diperoleh densitas maksimum adalah 0,75gr/cm3, Modulus patah (MOR) maksimum 283,7kg/cm2, Modulus elastis (MOE) 53.289,4kg/cm2, tegangan geser sejajar 52,77 kg/cm2. Untuk uji keawetan jamur tidak dapat hidup pada KKS yang telah dipolimerisasi.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat efektivitas dari asap destilat dari cangkang buah kelapa sawit kombinasi asam akrilat setelah diimpregnasi kedalam serat kayu kelapa sawit terhadap jamur poliphorus. Tahapan yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini adalah kayu kelapa sawit dikupas kulitnya kemudian direndam dengan asap destilat kombinasi asam akrilat setelah itu dikeringkan dan diuji dengan menggunakan jamur poliphorus diatas permukaan serat kayu kelapa sawit.Dari hasil penelitian didapat bahwa jamur tidak dapat hidup pada permukaan serat kayu kelapa sawit yang telah diimpregnasi. Abstract : The purpose of this research is to see the effectiveness of distillate smoke from the combination of acrylic acid palm fruit shells after being impregnated into palm wood fiber against polyphorus fungi. The stages carried out in this study were the oil palm wood peeled and then soaked with acrylic distillate smoke combined after it was dried and tested using polyphorus mushrooms on the surface of the palm wood fiber. impregnated palm oil. Abstract

This research aims to determine the maximum concentration of Maleat Anhidrida in grafting into the LLDPE chain with the help of Benzoyl Peroxide as an initiator. Mixing is done by the Blending method using an internal mixing tool. The titration results showed that the maximum percentage of grafting degree occurred at a concentration of 9% Maleat Anhidrida. The formation of new peaks at wave numbers 1707 and 1267cm-1 proves that grafting has taken place into the LLDPE monomer.

Abstract

Humans need fresh water for many functions, including cleaning, irrigating plants, drinking, cooking, industrial uses, and more. It cannot be denied that the excessive exploitation of the environment by humans is the cause of the current decline in water quality. This study aims to test water quality such as pH, conductivity, total dissolved solids, salinity, and turbidity. The research method uses quantitative methods. The research area was taken from 10 subdistricts around the Arau River Basin. The sample is measured using a predetermined measuring instrument. Based on the test results from all research areas, several parameters for testing water quality meet the standards of the 2010 Ministry of Health Regulations, such as the pH test except for the Indarung and Lubuk Begalung sub-districts. and East Padang. The Total Dissolved Solids test in all areas is in good water standard except for Koto Tangah. The salinity test for all areas met the requirements for water quality standards except for the West Padang sub-district and the Turbidity test showed that all areas had turbidity values > 5 NTUs..

Pentingnya kemandirian ekonomi, kemandirian pembiayaan yang terkait dengan fungsi lain dari masjid; fungsi sosial kemasyarakatan, pendidikan dan ekonomi., maka kami tim dosen melaksanakan pengabdian masyarakat di Forum Silaturahmi (Fosil) Badan Kemakmuran Masjid (BKM) Kecamatan Medan Tembung, beralamat di jalan Bayangkara No. 411 Kelurahan Indra Kasih Medan tembung, tepatnya berada di Masjid Al Imam Indra kasih Medan. Pelaksnaannya dengan sosialisasi menggunakan metode ceramah dan Focus Grup Diskusi (FGD) Pada metode ini ketua tim pengabdian masyarakat menyampaikan dan mepersentasikan materi terkait judul pengabdian masyarakat yang disampaikan sedangkan anggota membagikan materi dan absensi peserta kemudian dilakukan metode diskusi dan tanya jawab. Pelaksanaan pengabdian memberikan kebermanfaatan bagi masjid dan masyarakat terutama pembekalan keilmuan dalam hal pembiayaan, sumber daya modal.
