Abstract

Edukasi dalam menyusui merupakan metoda intervensi yang paling efektif meningkatkan inisiasi menyusu dalam jangka pendek.Metode intervensi edukasi pada ibu tidak hanya bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan ibu, tapi juga mempengaruhi prilaku mereka dalam pemberian ASI.Inisiasi menyusu dini (IMD) dan pemberian ASI Eksklusif semenjak lahir hingga berumur 6 bulan merupakan praktek pemberian ASI yang sangat penting untuk kelangsungan hidup anak, pertumbuhan dan perkembangan yang optimal. Disamping itu pemberian ASI Ekslusif tanpa MP ASI sampai bayi berusia 6 bulan telah terbukti dapat meningkatkan rata-rata kenaikan berat bayi lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan bayi yang telah diberikan MP-ASI. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh edukasi kesehatan (modul IMD dan ASI Ekslusif) bagi ibu hamil dan keluarga terhadap praktek IMD, ASI Ekslusif dan peningkatan berat badan bayi hingga usia 1 bulan.Jenis penelitian ini quasi eksperimentaldengan rancangan one group pretest-posttest. Sampel dalam penelitian adalah ibu hamil trimester tiga yang berada di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Simpang Baru Kota Pekanbaru yang diambil secara total sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan Edukasi memberikan pengaruh terhadap perubahan pengetahuan, sikap dan prilaku bagi ibu hamil dan keluarga terhadap praktek IMD dan ASI eksklusif serta memberikan pengaruh terhadap peningkatan berat badan bayi.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan hubungan antara asupan makan dengan kejadian prediabetes pada remaja obesitas di SMA Taluk Kuantan. Desain penelitian menggunakan metode deskriptif-analitik dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Waktu penelitian dilakukan dari bulan April sampai Oktober 2016. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 35 orang dengan teknik accidental sampling kemudian disesuaikan dengan kriteria inklusi dan ekslusi. Hasil penelitian adalah rerata kadar gula darah puasa (GDP) 78,09 ml/dl. Rerata asupan Energi untuk laki-laki 62,15%, protein 77,87%, lemak 62,85%, karbohidrat 42,96%, PUFA 215,6% dan fiber 16,68%. Rerata asupan energi untuk perempuan 62,05%, protein 207,15%, lemak 72,535%, Karbohidrat 34,25%, PUFA 145,4% dan Fiber 13,915%. Tidak terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara zat gizi energi, protein, lemak, karbohidrat, PUFA dan serat dengan kadar gula darah dengan r 0,064, -0,025, 0,067, 0,006, 0,110, dan -0,092. Simpulan pada penelitian ini adalah tidak terdapat hubungan yang signifikat antara asupan makan (Energi, protein, lemak, karbohidrat, PUFA dan serat) dengan kadar gula darah.

Abstract

Anemia merupakan suatu keadaan ketika jumlah sel darah merah atau konsentrasi pengangkut oksigen dalam darah (Hemoglobin) tidak mencukupi untuk kebutuhan fisiologi tubuh. Ibu hamil merupakan salah satu kelompok yang beresiko tinggi mengalami anemia, Kasus anemia pada ibu hamil sebagian besar disebabkan oleh rendahnya asupan zat besi dalam tubuh yang disebabkan pola makan kurang baik. Hal ini bisa mengakibatkan gangguan pada janin, yaitu bayi BBLR. Pemeriksaan kadar hemoglobin merupakan cara untuk mendeteksi anemia. Pemeriksaan kadar hemoglobin pada ibu hamil dilakukan minimal sekali pada trimester pertama dan sekali pada trimester ketiga agar meminimalisir terjadinyan anemia. Untuk itu perlu dilakukan penelitian terhadap gambaran asupan zat besi dan kejadian anemia pada ibu hamil di Kecamatan Tualang. Tujuan umum penelitian ini untuk mengetahui gambaran asupan zat besi dan kejadian anemia pada ibu hamil di Kecamatan Tualang. Penelitian ini bersifat deskriptif dengan desain cross sectional, sampel yang diambil sebanyak 67 orang ibu hamil di Kecamatan Tualang menggunakan metode simple random sampling. Asupan zat besi diukur dengan metode food recall 2x24 jam dan pemeriksaan kadar hemoglobin menggunakan easy touch GCHb. Analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif Hasil penelitian menyatakan bahwa sebanyak 80,60 % asupan zat besi pada ibu hamil di Kecamatan Tualang dalam katagori baik dan sebanyak 19,40 % dalam katagori kurang. Sebanyak 62.69% ibu hamil tidak menderita anemia, 32.83% anemia ringan dan 4.48% menderita anemia .

Abstract

Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a group of metabolic disease with characteristic hyperglycemia. Glycosylated hemoglobin (HbA1C) > 7% indicated uncontrolled DM. Hyperglycemia causes excessive production of free radicals that trigger oxidative stress. Oxidative stress is caused primarily by superoxide anion mitochondrial DNA would undermine the core so that it will activate PARP. PARP is activated would inhibit the activity of GAPDH in the glycolytic pathway. Inhibited glycolysis pathway will lead to reactions that formed splinter polyol pathway, increased PKC and increased hexosamine pathway.The research design was cross sectional comparative study, conducted in Internal Medicine Department of Dr. M.Djamil Hospital in Padang, Biomedical Laboratory of Medical College, Chemical Laboratory of College of Mathematics and Physical Sciences Andalas University. The total number of samples are 70, divided into two group, consist of 35 people cases and 35 people controlled. ELISA method was used for examination of GAPDH activity.The research results are activity GAPDH in patients with T2DM in lower that the non DM, but not statistically significant. Regression correlation analysis for relationship between fasting blood sugar with the activity of GAPDH denoted weak correlation, r = 0,179 (p=0,139), and the relationship of blood glucose levels 2 hours post prandial with GAPDH levels in patients with T2DM obtained a weak correlation with r values = 0.039 (p = 0.749).The research conclusion are there is no significant difference between GAPDH activity in patients with T2DM and non DM, there is a weak relationship between hyperglycemia with GAPDH activity.

Abstract

ABSTRACTNutrition and food is not only necessary for the growth, the development of physical,mental and health, but is also necessary for fertility or fertility in order to get a descent. The stateof maternal nutrition prior to conception influence on fertilization, fetal health, and maternalhealth. Fetal growth and birth weight of children is strongly influenced by the nutritional statusof pregnant women, both before and during pregnancy. Mothers with poor nutrition statushas deposits of nutrients is not enough to support the growth and development of the fetusand the mother’s health, as a result of fetal growth retardation, birth defects, miscarriage and low birth weight (LBW). The low nutritional status is affected by the lack of knowledge aboutnutritious food. An action based on knowledge will be better than the deed that is not basedon knowledge. Domain knowledge is very important for the formation of a person’s actions.The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of nutrition education on knowledgeabout balanced nutrition changes on the bride and groom in Pekanbaru. This study was aPre-experimental research design with pre-post test with a total sample of 51 people taken byaccidental sampling. The variables studied were knowledge bride. Data were analyzed usingpaired t test technique with SPSS for Windows version 21. The results showed that there was asignifcant difference (p-value = 0,000) about the average percentage of nutritional knowledgeof respondents between before and after education, the average knowledge before being educated45.9 ± 13.211% increased to 62.37 ± 15.916%.Keywords: education, knowledge balanced nutrition

Abstract

Purple sweet potato is a functional food, containing high anthocyanins, fiber, amylose and low glycemic index. Sweet potato is one of carbohydrates source that potentially as local resources for an effort of staple food diversification. Cake is popular bakery products that have sweet taste and soft texture. Butter cake gives distinctive aroma of butter and savory favored. In Indonesia, patients with diabetes mellitus have increasing from 1.1% (2007) to 1.5% (2013). Snack for diabetics must have appropriate nutritional value and can control blood glucose to prevent the risk of complications in patients with diabetes mellitus. Diabetics need snacks that have appropriate nutritional value that does not cause hypo/hyperglycemia. This study is based on experimental research design using a randomized block design (RAK) with 3 formula substitution of wheat flour and purple sweet potato and 1 control, organoleptic (sensory) test and analysis of carbohydrates. Organoleptic (sensory) data were analyzed using One Way ANOVA, and carbohydrate test data were analyzed using Luff Schrool methods. Our result in the research on the acceptability purple sweet potato butter cake showed significant real difference of the sensory score included flavour, aroma, colour and texture by used 75% concentration of purple sweet potato and also increases the sensory scores of the product, resistant starch content and acceptability of cake. The carbohydrates analysis of purple sweet potato butter cake showed that the starch in butter cake with 75% concentrate of purple sweet potato is 27.77%.
