Abstract

Covid-19 pandemic has made a negative impact on the health status of many people in Indonesia. While vaccination is a great tool for decreasing the infection rate and increasing the survival rate, consuming functional foods and vitamins is also beneficial for increasing the body immunity and maintaining a good health. Black garlic is one of the functional foods derived from garlic. Black garlic has many beneficial health effects such as reducing blood pressure and cholesterol, thereby reducing the risk of getting heart disease and stroke. In addition, Black garlic has a good antioxidant compound which can increase the body immunity and reduce oxidative stress. In order to disseminate the health benefits of black garlic, we conduct training on making black garlic to Al Ihsan religious group in Pedurenan, Tangerang City.

Abstract

Realisasi visi, misi, tujuan dan sasaran (corporate statement) sebuah institusi pendidikan bergantung kepada seluruh stakeholder. Guru sebagai salah satu stakeholder, memiliki andil besar dalam merealisasikan corporate statement tersebut. Untuk mengoptimalkan capaian corporate statement institusi, maka rencana beban kerja dan pengukuran kinerja guru harus selaras dengan corporate statement institusi pendidikan. Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini untuk membantu merancang sistem evaluasi kinerja guru di Sekolah Dasar Islam Terpadu Citra Sahabat dalam bentuk pendampingan. Metode yang digunakan mengadopsi kerangka kerja ADDIE (Analyze-Design-Develop-Implementation-Evaluation). Respon Tenaga Kependidikan dan pimpinan sekolah setelah pelaksanaan kegiatan ini sangat positif. Kepala Sekolah mengucapkan terima kasih atas pelaksanaan pendampingan ini dan berharap semoga selanjutnya akan ada program-program lanjutan peningkatan kualitas SDM melalui kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat.

Abstract

Fishermen group from Pabean Udik village, Indramayu, have problems with the maintenance of wooden boat hulls. Limitations of wood resources and the management of ships owned by skippers are a source of problems for fishermen in the Pabean Udik village. The objective of this project is to provide education and training for the manufacture of small-scale fiberglass fish boat hull for fishermen in Pabean Udik village. Iit was an effort to empower the fishing village community of Pabean Udik village to be able to make fiberglass fishing boats independently, as well as a transition from using fishing boats made of wood to fiberglass. The methods used were semi-permanent moulded and hand laid-up. In this case, the mat and roving layers are laminated using a hand brush or roll brush. This activity process involved a team of lecturers, students of Universitas Pembangunan Nasional Veteran Jakarta, practitioners and 10 fishermen from the village of Pabean Udik.The results of this work were the hull products of small-scale fish boats made of fiberglass with dimensions of length (P) = 1.0 m, width (B) = 0.5 m, and height (H) = 0.3 m. The conclusion of this study was that the fishing community of Pabean Udik village got new insights into the manufacture of fiberglass-based fishing boats. Therefore, in the future, the fishing community of Pabean Udik village can produce their own fishing boats with fiberglass.

Abstract

A stepped planing hull, also known as a step hull, is a hull modification that reduces the wetted surface area. Although this type of hull has proven effective in several ships, it is still rarely used. The step hull possesses numerous advantages that make it ideal for activities involving small and fast boats. However, regrettably, its full potential remains untapped at present. The purpose of this study was to identify the effect of variations in the angle of the step hull on resistance or drag. The study utilized the CFD method, and three hull configuration models were used at each change in hull step angle of 180º, 210º, 240º, and 270º. Configurations 1 and 2 have similarities in terms of rear hull length (600 mm), hull height (20 mm for configuration 1 and 30 mm for configuration 2), and deadrise angle (15° for configuration 1 and 20° for configuration 2). Configuration 3 has similarities with an 800 mm rear hull, 20 mm hull height, and 15° deadrise angle. It was found that as the Froude number increases, the coefficient of total resistance decreases. Conversely, as the Froude number increases, the resulting resistance also increases. The configuration with the highest resistance value corresponds to the alteration from configuration 2 with a hull step of 180°, and that the alteration from configuration 2 with a hull step of 270° corresponds to the configuration with the lowest resistance value. This study concludes that deadrise angle and the height of the step hull are the main factors that require careful consideration when designing ships that use a step hull. Therefore, this research provides an understanding of the step hull and can serve as a basis for the development of the step hull.
