Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi informasi telah menyebabkan dunia menjadi seperti tanpa batas. Beredarnya berbagai informasi dari internet dan media sosial tanpa adanya sebuah filter membuat hoax (berita palsu) mudah sekali menyebar. Hal ini menjadi keresahan yang besar bagi masyarakat, terlebih lagi hoax tidak hanya menghinggapi orang dewasa tapi juga para pelajar yang notabene nya masih remaja. Remaja adalah generasi muda yang dekat sekali dengan media sosial. Mereka menganggap media sosial tidak hanya sebagai hiburan semata, melainkan pusat informasi. Oleh karena itu sangatlah penting bagi remaja mengetahui dan bisa membedakan hoax sejak dini, agar mereka selalu bisa bersikap dan berpikir kritis dengan informasi yang mereka terima. Remaja perlu dilatih untuk mencerna informasi yang benar agar semakin hari hoax bisa diminimalisir. Remaja tidak hanya harus mengetahui siapa yang membuat berita atau informasi yang mereka baca tapi juga harus mengetahui pemahaman mengenai pesan apa saja yang terkandung dalam berita tersebut. Karena saat ini banyak sekali berita yang menyesatkan yang pada akhirnya berujung merugikan perkembangan berpikir remaja. Penting bagi remaja untuk mengenali situs-situs berita yang sah daan benar. Remaja juga harus lebih cermat mengenali konten-konten yang berkualitas rendah. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini berupa kegiatan pelatihan mengenal, mengidentifikasi, dan membedakan hoax (berita palsu). Adapun target luaran yang dihasilkan dari kegiatan pengabdian pada masyarakat ini berupa pengetahuan tentang pengenalan, identifikasi, dan perbedaan hoax (berita palsu)

Abstract

In 2020, internet users in Indonesia reached 73.7% or as many as 196.7 million people. This data illustrates the high penetration of the internet in various aspects of people's lives. One aspect is education where all teaching activities are carried out online. This sudden and massive change poses a challenge to the Indonesian education ecosystem, including technology infrastructure. Google as the largest technology service provider in the world, including Indonesia, plays an important role. This study aims to analyze G-Edu (Google for Education) in depth, from services, applications, programs, to their use as a digital-based learning support tool, which is very much needed, especially during the current pandemic. The study used a qualitative descriptive method where the data collection process used a library research method. Based on the explanation of the research results, it can be concluded that the G-Edu service provides support for, 1) learning media, 2) learning resources, and 3) teacher self-development partners.

Abstract

Indonesian education so far has kept a problem that has not received the attention of all stakeholders, namely sexual violence that occurs to students. Victims are faced with the power relations of educational institutions whose reputation is tarnished because of cases of sexual violence. The existence of social media as a social driver is able to mobilize cases of sexual violence on Campus to become a national issue. This prompted the Ministry of Education and Culture to issue Ministerial Regulation no. 30 of 2021 concerning the prevention and handling of sexual violence in universities. This research focuses on critical discourse analysis of this Ministerial Regulation. This research is a descriptive-qualitative research type. To gain comprehensive power of qualitative research analysis, the research phase requires the power of reason which is the source of analytical ability (Arikunto, 2010). The scalpel uses the critical discourse analysis technique of Norman Fairclough's model. The main study is focused on microstructural (text), mesostructure (discourse practices), and macrostructural (sociocultural practices) data. The study results are, first, this regulation is motivated by the phenomenon of the iceberg of sexual violence in the university environment. The government feels the need to provide legal certainty to perpetrators and victims. Second, in this regulation, the government uses educational narratives, prevention, and handling, protecting whistleblowers, and restoring victims' rights. Third, this regulation impacts the social life of the community through various responses.

Abstract

Children with mental retardation are those who experience disturbances in cognitive aspects. This will affect the process of acquisition and production of speech. This study aims to describe the forms of words and sentences that can be uttered by mentally retarded children, especially Down Syndrome, and the influence of the family environment on the development of their speech production. This research uses descriptive qualitative method. The focus of this research is how Down Syndrome children produce words and sentences. In addition, this study also looks at family environmental factor that can affect the process of producing words and sentences. This research was conducted on children with Down Syndrome aged 8 years at SLB Mekar Sari 1 Cibinong. Data collection was carried out through observation, interviews and literature studies. Then,  the data obtained are subjected to a reduction, presentation, and verification process. This study produced several findings; First, children with Down Syndrome at the grade 1 level (8 years) have not been able to produce many complete words. Second, they still need stimulation so that they are able to say simple words or sentences with the SPO (Subject, Predicate and Object) pattern.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkapkan hegemoni kekuasaan pada Festival Budaya Dongdang di Kabupaten Bogor. Terselenggaranya festival budaya tidak lepas dari peran Kepala Daerah setempat yaitu Bupati atau Wali Kota. Kebijakan yang melibatkan masyarakat luas dan sifatnya populis ini akan mempunyai dampak positif terhadap elektabilitas dan tingkat kepuasan publik. Para pemimpin daerah yang sukses melaksanakan festival budaya akan mendapatkan collateral effect pada popularitasnya. Metode yang dipakai dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Keberadaan Festival Budaya Dongdang menjadi penting karena mempunyai beberapa fungsi diantaranya, pelestarian budaya, ekspansi dan komersialisasi budaya, dan penggerak sektor kesenian dan ekonomi kreatif. Bentuk hegemoni yang dilakukan oleh Bupati Rahmat Yasin adalah bentuk dominasi, persetujuan, kepemimpinan intelektual dan moral. Hegemoni dalam bentuk dominasi yang dilakukan Rahmat Yasin adalah penekanan kewajiban yang harus dilakukan oleh SKPD dan lainnya untuk wajib berpartisipasi dalam Festival Dongdang. Adapun tingkatan hegemoni yang dilakukan berada pada tingkatan hegemoni total. Masyarakat menunjukkan tingkat kesatuan moral dan intelektual yang kokoh, yang tampak dari hubungan organis pemerintah dan yang diperintah.

Abstract

The political issued in Indonesia has recently begun to warm due to the residue of the National and Regional Elections. Especially the 2017 DKI Jakarta Regional Head Election which is full of political and religious intrigue. The election of Anies Baswedan as Governor of Jakarta created two opposing groups, namely supporters and critics. Every policy and statement by Anies is always talked about in the mass media and social media. Anies is aware of this so that every statement issued is always wrapped in neat and structured rhetoric. This study aims to determine the rhetoric of Anies Baswedan and the effect on self-image. The method used is descriptive qualitative. The results finding revealed that Anies' control over his speech was extraordinary. Anies is able to position himself according to his interlocutor, this can be seen from every choice of diction to be expressed, technical, intonation, and the way of speaking is never emotional. Rhetoric is very important for a leader as a prerequisite for conveying and persuading audiences, especially in today's modern era where it is easy for audiences to get digital access and it is easy to see the figure of leader.

Abstract

Teacher professionalism has been instrumental in the understanding of the development of teacher competency This study, this study aims to examine the level of PDC of English teacher among different generation. This study used the method of qualitative research with the approach of descriptive interpretative analysis This study employed a descriptive interpretive analytic approach in qualitative research. The subject of this research involved of English teachers in JABODETABEK from the junior high, senior high, and vocational school levels. The result showed that  each generation has a different PDC level. Teachers who are involved as baby boomers, Gen X, and millennial, since there is only one Gen Z teacher. Furthermore, teachers who are baby boomers have a high percentage of level none, knowledge, and skills because of the limited respondents. Moreover, teachers who are Gen X have more PDC points with a level of none, knowledge, and skills rather than other generations. In addition, a teacher who is Gen Z has reached competence level in all PDC points. These indicate that each generation has a different PDC level, particularly the preceding generations such as baby boomers, Gen X, and millennial

Abstract

Undergraduate higher education in many countries are common to teach translation theories in a class while the students need more practice as close as the professional translator does. The purpose of this study is to explore how undergraduate higher education institution administering the translation class in Indonesia. This study used an exploratory case study method on a translation class of an English Education study program year 2022 with data gathered are from the learning documents, lecturers, and students. The data are analyzed using thematic analysis following steps familiarization, coding, generating, reviewing, defining, naming theme and writing up. The themes are validated using data triangulation that cross checking among the collected data. This study shows that the undergraduate level prepares the academic field of translation that will serve as a base of knowledge to pursue advanced level in the academic and/or goes to specialize for becoming professional translator later. It is recommended to have further study on how to teach the academic field of translation, such as translation teaching model, teaching method, assessment and so on.
