Abstract

The resident's yard of Gelangsar Village generally has not been used optimally. In some parts of the yard are overgrown with shrubs whose benefits are not yet known. This program aims to introduce yard management methods that can provide economic benefits, namely the innovation of flowering plant gardens to support honey bee cultivation. The method used in this program is socialization and the formation of a pilot project. The socialization focused on introducing the arrangement of the yard with flowering plants. The pilot project was made on the land of one of the partner residents. In this pilot project, innovations in planting flowering plants with vertical garden and honey bee cultivation methods are applied. Through this pilot method, it is hoped that the people of Gelangsar Village can apply the innovations offered independently. This program has been successfully implemented. Partner residents are willing to apply the innovation of a combination of flowering plant gardens and honey bee cultivation.

Abstract

Abstract. Several problems related to the use of chemical fertilizers are fertilizer prices that continue to increase, in certain situations there is a shortage of fertilizers and continuous use can reduce the population of soil microorganisms. The purpose of this community service activity is to provide counseling and training on the manufacture of liquid organic fertilizer from plant waste using EM4 activator to the youth of Ubung Village, Jonggat District. The method of activity is lectures and practice of making liquid fertilizer, harvesting fertilizer products and packaging. The activity has been carried out in accordance with the plans and stages that have been set, and liquid fertilizer has been produced which is packaged in plastic bottles. The physical characteristics of the liquid fertilizer produced after 20 days of the fermentation process showed results that met the criteria as a good liquid organic fertilizer, namely temperature 28oC, pH 4, brownish yellow color and smelled of tape. Liquid fertilizer has been distributed to target residents and used as plant fertilizer. Through this activity, the youth of Ubung Village who are participants have succeeded in making liquid organic fertilizer based on plant waste and have applied it as fertilizer to their plants. Abstract

Title : The Optimization of Bayan District Dry Land –North Lombok Used The Immobilized Humic Acid in Seaweed as Fertilizer Supplement  for Maize Plant (Zea Mays L). A study on optimization of dry land used the immobilized humic acid in seaweed as fertilizer supplement for maize plant (Zea Mays L) has been done in Bayan District North Lombok Regency Nusa Tenggara Barat Province. It was known that humic acid could increase availability and uptake of nutrient (N, P, K and Corganic) at maize plant in dry land of Bayan District. It was needed a modification technique that lower quantity of humic acid using without diminishing it’s utility, by immobilized humic acid in seaweed. Research design began with the preparation of immobilized humic acid in seaweed via entrapment technique (gel) and covalent bending (liquid). Immobilization result was characterized by infrared spectrophotometer. Agircultural land was mapped according to number of treatments, then each of them was analized physical and chemical properties before planting was done. Bayan agricultural land has sandy and loose texture, reddish brown colour, and neutral acidity (pH 6.97 at depth of 0-20 cm and a pH of 6.80 at depth of 21-40 cm). It has low availability nutrient of soil (Corganic, N, P, K) at 0-20 cm depth and 21-40 cm respectively are 2.950% and 2.860%, 0.067% and 0.076%, 0.001% and 0.004 %, 0.310% and 0.390%. While the cation exchange capacity value at a depth of 0-20 cm and 21-40 cm respectively are 20.95 and 22.16 me. Based on FTIR spectra, humic acid can be immobilized on seaweed as evidenced by absorption shift, especially in the carboxylic acid and amine groups. Humic acid was able to increase nutrient availability and uptake at maize plant through it’s ability in binding, adsorbing and exchanging nutrients. Application of humic acid in soil showed increasing of plant growth (plant height, weight and nutritional value of corn). Availability and uptake of N, P and K are highest in treatment 0.1% humic acid immobilized on seaweed 100 kg ha-1 (gel) and 0.1% humic acid immobilized in seaweed (liquid) with fertilizer 100% NPK dose.

Abstract

Abstrak: Pemenuhan kebutuhan air bersih yang aman dan layak dikonsumsi belum dapat dirasakan oleh semua lapisan masyarakat Lombok Tengah akibat tingginya angka kemiskinan dan rendahnya tingkat pendidikan masyarakat. Selain itu dengan tingginya aktivitas sektor pertanian yang menggunakan pupuk dan pestisida, dimungkinkan bahan kimia dan hasil peruraianya akibat proses  leaching terbawa aliran air kemudian meresap  ke dalam tanah dan masuk ke dalam sumber air tak terlindungi. Hal ini diindikasikan dengan hasil pengukuran kadar nitrit dan ammonia di beberapa sungai yang mengaliri desa. Salah satu solusi yang akan diterapkan dalam kegiatan ini adalah penerapan teknologi tepat guna tentang proses pengelolaan air siap minum dengan membuat unit pengolahan air irigasi menjadi air siap minum dengan menggunakan metode filtrasi-adsorpsi (kombinasi oleh pasir silika, karbon aktif dan membran) dan penyinaran lampu UV untuk desinfikasi. Sosialisasi kepada kelompok – kelompok tani Desa Jago dilakukan sebagai sarana alih teknologi tentang pengolahan air siap minum dan sebagai upaya mengedukasi masyarakat mengenai perilaku hidup bersih dan sehat serta pemanfaatan air secara bijak dan efektif. Keberlanjutan program dilakukan melalui pengelolaan mandiri oleh P3A dengan dukungan dari masyarakat sekitar dan pengawasan dari Perangkat Desa Jago. Kata kunci: air siap minum, filtrasi, adsorpsi, uv radiasi, Desa Jago.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian pada masyarakat dengan khalayak buruh wanita pengangkut pasir di Desa Marong Jamaq Kelurahan Karang baru Kecamatan Selaparang, Kota Mataram, telah selesai dilaksanakan. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah menumbuhkan dan mengasah keterampilan membuat produk dekoratif berbahan dasar sampah plastik kresek, memotivasi warga untuk mengembangkan kreativitas dan membuat usaha mandiri berbasis keterampilan mengolah sampah plastik kresek. Kegiatan ini dilakukan dengan pendekatan Focus Group Discussion, yang mencakup pelatihan, pembinaan dan evaluasi untuk memantau keberhasilan kegiatan menggunakan metode observasi. Materi yang disampaikan meliputi bahaya sampah plastik kresek bagi kesehatan dan lingkungan, upaya penanganan sampah plastik kresek skala rumah tangga, melatih pembiasaan dalam menciptakan lingkungan bersih, alternatif pemanfaatan sampah plastik kresek, aneka olahan sampah plastik kresek menjadi bahan dekoratif. Kesimpulan yang diperoleh dari kegiatan ini, sebanyak 100% peserta memahami materi yang disampaikan, sebanyak 85% peserta memahami cara pembuatan bahan dekoratif dari sampah plastik kresek, sebanyak 95% peserta termotivasi untuk menerapkan dan mengembangkan aneka model produk dekoratif, dan sebanyak 90% peserta termotivasi untuk memasarkan produk dekoratif yang dibuat. AbstractCommunity service activities with an audience of women labour for carrying sand in Marong Jamaq Village, Karang baru SubDistrict, Selaparang District, Mataram City, have been done. The aim of this activity were provided skills of make decorative products from rubbish of plastic bag, to motivate Marong Jamaq community to develop creativity and create independent business-based on skills in processing plastic bag. The activity was carried out with a Focus Group Discussion approach, which included training, coaching and evaluation to monitor the success of activities using the observation method. The material presented included the effect of plastic waste for health and environment, the utilization of plastic bag, practicing habituation of clean life, the alternatives of plastic create, the plastic bag create into decorative materials. The conclusions of this activity, as many as 100% of participants understood the material presented, as many as 85% of participants understood how to make decorative materials from plastic bag, as many as 95% of participants were motivated to apply and develop of various decorative product models, and as many as 90% of participants were motivated to sell decorative products hand made.

Abstract

Darmaji Village is one of the villages on the island of Lombok which has potential in the field of food and the environment. The main problem in the environmental sector is the presence of standing water in residential areas during the rainy season and the low level of waste utilization. Efforts to overcome this are the application of bio pure infiltration holes that can act as water absorption media, increase groundwater reserves, and compost media in Darmaji village. The method of implementation is by making several pilot locations and socialization through brochures and leaflets. The results of this activity made many residents interested in applying biopori in their homes. So it is hoped that in the future it can overcome environmental problems and support tourism activities on the island of Lombok in Darmaji Village.

Abstract

A study of the influence of humic acid as fertilizer supplement on maize plant to fertilizing efficiency in unirrigated land of Kec. Bayan Kab. Lombok Utara NTB was conducted. Agricultural land of Kec. Bayan has the physical properties of sandy texture, loose structure and reddish brown with neutral acidity (pH 6.97 at a depth of 0-20 cm and a pH of 6.8 at a depth of 21-40 cm). In addition, it has low nutrient level of soil (Corganic, N, P, K) at depths 0-20 cm and 21-40 cm respectively are 0.912% and 1.150%; 0.064% and 0.074%; 0.001% and 0.005 %; 0.290% and 0.310%. Application of humic acid as fertilizers supplement improved the availability of major and micronutrients and enhanced their uptake. The highest availability and uptake of N, P and K was found in addition of humic acid @ 20 kg ha-1 along with 100% recommended dose of fertilizers. Application of humic acid in soil showed increasing of plant growth (plant height, weight and nutritional value of corn). Fertilized N, P and K without humic acid was provided of fertilizing efficiency below 50 %. The most efficient dose for humic acid fertilizer is 20 kg ha-1 along with 150 kg ha-1 of urea, 200 kg ha-1 of SP36 and 50 kg ha-1 of KCl.Keywords: humic acid, maize plant, fertilizing efficiency, unirrigated land
