Abstract

Abstract: This research is a theological study of the meaning of the phrase Jesus "ego eimi" or "I am" which appears seven times in the Gospel of John. By using a qualitative approach specifically to the literature review, the meaning is obtained. Actually this phrase would emphasize two urgent things, namely: about the divinity of Jesus and about Jesus' mission in the world. Abstrak: Penelitian ini tentang studi teologis terhadap makna ungkapan Yesus “ego eimi” atau “Aku adalah” yang muncul tujuh kali dalam Injil Yohanes. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif yang secara spesifik kepada kajian pustaka, maka diperolehlah maknanya. Sebenarnya ungkapan ini hendak menekankan dua hal yang urgen, yakni: tentang keilahian Yesus dan tentang misi Yesus di dunia.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas tentang makna ungkapan, Kamu adalah garam dunia berdasarkan teks dalam Matius 5:13 dan mengaplikasikannya dalam kehidupan orang percaya. Dengan menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif, terkhusus pendekatan kajian pustaka, maka dapat diperoleh makna dari ungkapan tersebut. Tujuan Yesus mengajarkan ungkapan tersebut adalah untuk menjelaskan kepada setiap orang percaya agar dapat mempertahankan apa yang baik dan mengembangkan dunia supaya lebih baik.

Abstract

Abstract: This study discusses the Theological Review of the Church and Its Growth Based on the Book of Acts. Researchers used qualitative methods to study this topic. After conducting the research, the researchers concluded that the Acts of the Apostles provided an excellent picture of church growth to serve as the biblical basis for studies of church growth today. Abstrak: Penelitian ini membahas tentang Tinjauan Teologis Gereja dan Pertumbuhannya Berdasarkan Kitab Kisah Para Rasul. Peneliti menggunakan metode kualitatif untuk mengkaji topik ini. Setelah melakukan penelitian, maka peneliti memperoleh kesimpulan bahwa Kisah Para Rasul memberikan gambaran pertumbuhan gereja yang sangat baik untuk dijadikan dasar Alkitab untuk studi-studi pertumbuhan gereja masa kini.

Abstract

Abstract: This study discusses the role of Christian leaders in improving the quality of harmony between pluralist religious communities. Researchers use qualitative methods or literature review to examine this topic. In conclusion, the researcher found that there are two factors that cause difficulty in creating religious harmony, namely: fanaticism and the spread of religion. Abstrak: Penelitian ini membahas tentang peranan pemimpin Kristen dalam meningkatkan kualitas kerukunan antar umat beragama yang pluralis. Peneliti menggunakan metode kualitatif atau kajian pustaka untuk meneliti topik ini. Pada kesimpulan peneliti menemukan bahwa ada dua faktor yang menyebabkan sulitnya terciptanya kerukunan beragama, yakni: fanatisme dan penyebarluasan agama.

Abstract

Abstract: This article discusses the divinity of Jesus Christ based on Philippians 2:6 as a theological answer to the christology of Ebionism, Arianism, and Jehovah's Witnesses. The main focus in this study is to examine theologically the meaning of “the image of God” in Philippians 2:6. This paper shows the result that Philippians 2:6 is explaining the divine qualifications of Jesus Christ which means Jesus Christ before the incarnation, He has existed in eternity with the Father. So it can be said that Jesus Christ is not a creation of God or an ordinary man because Jesus Christ is the same morphe as God the Father. This paper certainly uses a qualitative method, namely a method that describes a phenomenon under study. then to describe the phenomenon under study, of course, requires literature (library review). The purpose of this paper is for the lay congregation to fully and correctly understand the teachings of the Person of Jesus Christ (Christology) in order to ward off false teachings. Abstrak: Artikel ini membahas keilahian Yesus Kristus berdasarkan Filipi 2:6 sebagai jawaban teologis terhadap kristologi Ebionisme, Arianisme, dan Saksi Yehuwa. Fokus utama dalam kajian ini yaitu mengkaji secara teologis makna “rupa Allah” dalam Filipi 2:6. Tulisan ini memperlihatkan hasil bahwa Filipi 2:6 sedang menjelaskan kualifikasi ilahi Yesus Kristus yang artinya Yesus Kristus sebelum berinkarnasi, Ia telah ada dalam kekekalan bersama dengan Bapa. Jadi dapat dikatakan bahwa Yesus Kristus bukan ciptaan Allah atau manusia biasa karena Yesus Kristus morfe yang sama dengan Allah Bapa. Tulisan ini tentu menggunakan metode kualitatif yaitu metode yang mendeskripsikan sebuah fenomena yang dikaji. maka untuk mendeskripsikan fenomena yang diteliti tentunya membutuhkan literatur-literatur (kajian pustaka). Tujuan dari tulisan ini agar jemaat khusus awam bisa memahami secara utuh dan benar mengenai ajaran tentang Pribadi Yesus Kristus (Kristologi) guna menangkal ajaran yang sesat.

Abstract

Abstract: This research discusses faith and deeds in the letter of James, focusing on biblical-theological studies, and the author uses a literature review as its research method in this study. The current situation is a tough time because of the Covid-19 pandemic that is rampant everywhere. Such a situation makes every human being afraid, economically deprived, and so on. In situations like this, Christians are called to be the salt and light of the world. That is manifesting his faith in real actions. Faith and works are two crucial things that should not be separated in the Christian faith. Therefore, this research shows that faith is not just words or intellectual confessions; on the contrary, good deeds are not a means to obtain salvation. So James, in this case, is not negating the concept of faith. On the contrary, he urges the recipients of his letter not only to think that faith is sufficient to be saved and justified. However, true faith must be lived in actual actions. Thus, today’s believers are called to be active in proclaiming their actions as the fruit of salvation. Abstrak: Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian yang mengerucut pada studi teologis biblis yang membahas tentang iman dan perbuatan di surat Yakobus. Dalam penelitian ini, penulis menggunakan penelitian kualitatif yang menggunakan kajian literatur. Masa sekarang adalah masa yang serba sulit karena Pandemi Covid-19 yang meraja lela kemana-mana. Situasi yang demikian membuat setiap manusia takut, kekurangan secara ekonomi dan sebagainya. Dalam situasi seperti inilah orang Kristen dipanggil untuk menjadi garam dan terang dunia. Yaitu mewujudkan imannya dalam perbuatan nyata. Iman dan perbuatan dua hal penting yang tidak boleh dipisahkan dalam iman Kristen. Maka penelitian ini memberi hasil bahwa beriman bukan hanya sekedar kata-kata atau pengakuan intelktual saja, sebaliknya perbuatan bukan sarana untuk beroleh keselamatan. Yakobus dalam hal  ini tidak sedang meniadakan konsep iman. Malah sebaliknya, ia menghimbau agar penerima suratnya tidak hanya menganggap iman sudah cukup memperoleh keselamatan dan dibenarkan. Namun iman sejati harus dihidupi dalam perbuatan nyata. Dengan demikian, orang percaya masa kini dipanggil untuk aktif dalam menyatakan perbuatannya sebagai buah keselamatannya.

Abstract

This research discusses the pastoral leadership of Jesus Christ as written in the Bible to be applied in the Pelita Dunia Theological Seminary. So that every graduate produced can understand and practice correct pastoral leadership in accordance with the teachings and actions of Jesus Christ. This study uses a qualitative approach that combines a literature review with the results of interviews with several alumni. Through this research, information was obtained that Jesus' pastoral leadership based on the explanations in the Gospels is clearly visible in three ways, as Jesus' pastoral leadership carries out God's vision and that means that every pastor also carries out God's vision, Jesus' pastoral leadership reaches out to the lost and improves relationships and that means every pastor also reaches out to the lost congregation and mends broken relationship with God, and pastoral leadership Jesus disciplines and sends and that means every pastor disciplines and sends the congregation to preach the gospel. In addition, this study also concluded that Pelita Dunia Theological Seminary should include and teach Pastoral Leadership to every student in order to produce graduates who can serve like Jesus.

Abstract

Tulisan ini merupakan sebuah penelitian tentang salib Kristus. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menjawab setiap sikap skeptik dan cemoohan dari internal dan eksternal gereja terhadap salib Kristus. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kualitatif, khususnya kajian literatur. Adapun hasil penelitiannya ditemukan bahwa setiap tuduhan dan anggapan miring terhadap salib terbantahkan melalui penelitian ini. Karena melalui penelitian ditemukan bahwa salib adalah bukti bahwa Allah setia kepada setiap janji-Nya, salib tidak dapat berdiri sendiri dan akan menjadi penting apabila dikaitkan dengan oknum atau pribadi Yesus yang tersalib untuk menggantikan manusia berdosa. Kemudian terakhir, salib merupakan identitas setiap pengikut Kristus khususnya dalam hal penderitaan.
