Abstract

Abstract  this research is motivated by the lack of gross motor skills of children aged 5-6 year in Kuala Enoch TK Raudatul Adfal District of Tanah Merah Indragiri Hilir. The problems that occur in the child's gross motor movement is the lack of various forms of gross motor skills that should be mastered by the age of kindergarten children, such as jumping and twisting. Jumping movements do children only use his legs, but jumps can be done with one foot, left foot or right foot only. Circular motion can only be done with the child resting on one leg, should be done without resting by lifting both feet and immediately play the body, as well as land use both feet. Variations in children's gross motor skills can be developed by applying the traditional game, one of which is the game engklek. Through engklek game, children can perform bowing movement, jumping movements, stretching movements when jumping, bend head movements, twisting body movements, stretching his arms geraakan, degrading body movements, and walked off the track in the game plot. The number of movements in the traditional game engklek will be many children develop gross motor skills. The research problem is how to influence the traditional game engklek the gross motor skills of children aged 5-6 years in kindergarten Raudatul Adfal Kuala Enoch District of Tanah Merah Indragiri Hilir?. This study belongs to the type of data combined with the level of associative explanation. Analysis of research data using statistical analysis t test (test the influence). Emergency test results reveal that the value of t is 2.26 and the t table value of t is 7.56. So it is known that the value of t is greater than t table, so the hypothesis H1 is accepted, ie there is a relationship between the traditional game engklek the gross motor skills of children aged 5-6 years in kindergarten Raudatul Adfal Kuala Enoch District of Tanah Merah Indragiri Hilir. Keywords: Traditional Games Engklek, Gross Motor Ability
