Abstract

ABSTRACT The purpose of the study was to determine the effect of increasing interest in learning and learning outcomes in history through the use of the historical novel Si Bung dari Siantar (Adam Malik) in class XI social studies at SMAN 1, Situjuah Limo Nagari sub-district. The research method used is a quasi-experimental research. The population in this study were all students consisting of 5 classes with a total of 137 students. The sampling technique was taken by purposive random sampling. The results showed that the data obtained were analyzed using the t-test, if-t(1-α) < t > t(1-α) then the hypothesis was accepted. With the results of his research data obtained t arithmetic = 3.91 and t table = 1.68 where - 1.68 <3.91> 1.68 which means the hypothesis is accepted within the 95% confidence level (α = 0.05). The conclusion of the study is that there is a positive effect on increasing interest in learning and learning outcomes of history through the use of the historical novel Si Bung dari Siantar (Adam Malik) in class XI social studies at SMAN 1, Situjuah Limo Nagari sub-district. Abstract

This study aims to determine the role of supervision in developing the quality of teachers in teaching. This research is a qualitative research with the subject of the school principal and teacher. The results showed that the principal in leading was unable to enforce rules and discipline to all teachers, only following the decisions of their members. When there is a learning process and teaching devices that are lacking there is no sanction or reprimand from the school principal, teaching at this school only follows each other's rules. But when there is inspection from the supervisor or UPT there is new communication between the teacher. The existence of an unexpected meeting resulted in disruption of the teaching and learning process, because the teacher's meeting made the students did not supervise, so the students wandered. Conclusion, in the end the learning process that has been arranged well in the learning device is not carried out properly, because the teacher who teaches will pursue the hours of study used during a sudden meeting, as a result students will find it difficult to understand the lessons given by the teacher. Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the application of the learning contract method on learning outcomes of Indonesian history. This research method is quasi-experimental research. The population in this study were all students of class X IPS with a total of 86 students. The sampling technique is cluster sampling. The results of the study conducted t-test. Based on the results of the sample class normality test, the sample class has L0 0.00706 < Lt 0.173 with a significant level (α=0.05), which means that the sample classes are normally distributed. To find out whether the two groups of data have a homogeneous variant or not, an F test is carried out, so the sample class has Fcount 1.16 < Ftable 1.88, meaning that the two sample classes have homogeneous variants. The results of the hypothesis test obtained tcount: 3.91 while ttable at a significant level (α = 0.05) is 1.68 meaning tcount > ttable so that H1 is accepted, and Ho is rejected. The conclusion of this study is that there is a positive effect of the application of the learning contract method on the results of learning Indonesian history in class X IPS at SMAN 1 Lareh Sago Halaban which makes students active in learning so that the learning process becomes more meaningful.
