Abstract

This research is to see how the family and society accept the presence of children with disabilities in the family and society. This research was conducted in Medan Johor District, Medan City. This research uses qualitative research methods with a descriptive approach. Using data collection techniques from interviews, observation, and documentation studies and using qualitative data analysis. The informants in this study were parents who have children with disabilities, communities who have neighbors with children with disabilities, community leaders and the coordinator of children with disabilities in Medan. The results of the research conducted show that parents who have children with disabilities feel very sad at the start of knowing that their children have disabilities and have a great sense of concern for the child's future. As time goes by, parents' acceptance of children with disabilities gets better, especially when parents see children's talents that need to be developed. Family neighbors who have children with disabilities, community leaders are able to accept the presence of children with disabilities present in the midst of the environment. Public. Furthermore, the coordinator of children with disabilities stated that there are still children with disabilities who experience discrimination and there is no forum provided by Medan City Government as a place to practice and channel the talents of children with disabilities.

Abstract

The implementation of the City without Slum Program (KOTAKU) in Eradicating Slum in the Eastern Region of Medan City is a program run by the Directorate General of Human Settlements to support the fulfillment of the 2015-2019 RPJMN target. The KOTAKU program aims to develop urban areas through quality residential environments. The theory used in this study is the Van Metter and Van Horn theory which consists of Size and Policy Objectives, Resources, Characteristics of Implementing Agencies, Attitudes / Tendencies (Dispositions) of the Implementers, Inter-organizational Communication and Implementing Activities, and the Economic, Social, Environment and Politics. This study uses a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. The results showed that the implementation of the City without Slum Program (KOTAKU) in Alleviating Slum in the Eastern Region of Medan City is not yet in accordance with the needs of the local community so that it has not been realized properly and thoroughly. There are internal problems that have arisen so that the KOTAKU program that has been planned has not been realized. As for the inhibiting factors, namely the lack of socialization from the government regarding the program, and the lack of community participation in the development process. This research provides recommendations, namely, the government needs to increase socialization related to the program and monitor the implementation of the KOTAKU program and establish direct coordination with the community to increase community participation in the running of the KOTAKU program.

Abstract

Abstrak Kekerasan terhadap perempuan bisa terjadi dimana saja, kapan saja dan oleh siapa saja. Sebagai sebuah negara yang ikut dalam deklarasi tentang penghapusan kekerasan terhadap perempuan, di antaranya menyebutkan bahwa kekerasan terhadap perempuan adalah sikap tindakan berdasarkan jenis kelamin yang mengakibatkan kesengsaraan atau penderitaan perempuan secara fisik, seksual dan psikologis, termasuk ancaman tindakan tertentu, pemaksaan dan perampasan kemerdekaan secara sewenang-wenang baik yang terjadi di depan umum maupun dalam kehidupan pribadi. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada perempuan warga komplek Dinas Peternakan Provinsi Sumatera Utara. Dengan hasil menunjukkan bahwa persepsi yang bervariasi  antara lain kekerasan yang dialami oleh perempuan. Bentuk-bentuk kekerasan yang dialami berupa kekerasan fisik, psikologi, seksual dan kekerasan budaya. Kata kunci: kekerasan dan perempuan   Abstract Violence against women can happen everywhere, everytime and everyone. As a country is participating in the declaration about elimination of violence against women, among states that violence against women is every action based on sex resulted misery or suffery to women in physical, sexual, and psychological indude threats certain action, coercion and deprivation the independence arbitrarity, whether occuring in public or in privat. The research was conduction in womwn citizens complex Dinas Peternakan North Sumatera Province. The result showing perception varied among other to violence experienced by women. The form of violence experienced by women is physical violence, psychological,sex and cultere violence. Keywords: violence and women

Abstract

Belajar adalah suatu hal yang sangat penting untuk membuat orang akan lebih pintar dan dapat tercapainya cita-cita serta harapan dimasa depan. Ketika orang akan semakin rajin belajar, mereka akan mendapatkan pengetahuan yang lebih banyak, bermanfaat dan dapat menggapai cita-cita dari apa yang telah dipelajari tersebut. Tetapi, masi banyak orang yang tidak memiliki semangat belajar terutama pada anak panti asuhan pintu harapan medan dibidang pelajaran matematika. Karena, menurut mereka pelajaran matematika adalah pelajaran yang merumitkan dan tidak mudah dimengerti untuk dipelajarin. Akan tetapi, matematikan tidak hanya dipelajari di dunina pendidikan melainkan dapat diterapkan di dunia pekerjaaan. Untuk itu, diperlukan pendamping kepada anak panti asuhan untuk membimbing dan memberi motivasi meningkatkan semangat belajar pada pelajaran matematika melalui kegiatan PKL yang dilakukan oleh para mahasiswa. Adapun tujuan kegiatan PKL yaitu untuk mengatasi permasalahan dan dapat dilakukan dengan tahapan intervensi seperti engagement, intake, contract, asessment, planning, intervensi, evaluasi, dan terminasi. Pada tahapan ini, guna untuk mengetahui lebih medalam permasalahan terhadap anak panti asuhan pintu harapan medan dan melalui tahapan ini guna untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui berbagai program gerakan literasi sekolah dalam menumbuhkan minat baca siswa SDN 06 0857 Jl. Durung No. 130 Medan. Membaca merupakan suatu hal yang seharusnya dikembangkan sejak dini. Rendahnya tingkat literasi di Indonesia menjadi hal yang mendasari tumbuhnya kesadaran tersebut. Literasi atau kemilekan adalah istilah umum yang merujuk kepada seperangkat kemampuan dan keterampilan individu dalam membaca, menulis, berbicara, menghitung dan memecahkan masalah pada tingkat keahlian tertentu yang diperlukan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Gerakan literasi di sekolah dasar ini bertujuan menumbuhkan budi pekerti melalui pembudayaan ekosistem literasi di sekolah agar mereka menjadi pembelajar sepanjang hayat. Memperkenalkan kebiasaan membaca sejak dini akan membantu siswa menjadi lebih terbiasa membaca dan memperluas wawasan mereka. Adapun cara yang dapat dilakukan agar Siswa lebih mudah membaca yaitu dengan membuat jadwal rutin untuk membaca, membuat dinding motivasi dan membaca buku pelajaran dan buku non pelajaran. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan untuk menumbuhkan minat baca peserta didik agar pengetahuan dapat dikuasai secara baik.

Abstract

Penyandang disabilitas memiliki keterbatasan yang tidak jarang membuat mereka mengalami kehilangan kesempatan untuk mendapatkan hak sebagai warga negara. Penyandang disabilitas di Indonesia banyak yang tidak mendapatkan kesempatan untuk memiliki pekerjaan dan kesulitan untuk memperoleh akses pendidikan dan akses publik lainnya. Oleh karena itu, diperlukannya peran Perkumpulan Penyandang Disabilitas (PPD) DPC – Kota Medan sebagai “Rumah Kedua” dan wadah penyalur asprasi mereka. Abstract

Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan pemberdayaan ekonomi perempuan dalam meningkatkan kesejahteraan keluarga dengan metode pelatihan dan pendampingan pemasaran digital kepada para ibu-ibu rumah tangga yang tergabung dalam Komunitas Wanita Pesisir Utara Kota Medan. Data yang digunakan diperoleh dengan cara pembentukan Focuss Group Discussion (FGD), pembentukan grup Whats App dan sosialisasi pelatihan. Peserta pelatihan pengabdian ini merupakan anggota dari Komunitas Wanita Pesisir Utara Kota Medan yang berjumlah sebanyak 25 orang. Berdasarkan hasil sosialisasi yang dihadiri oleh 25 orang ibu rumah tangga yang tergabung kedalam Komunitas Wanita Pesisir Utara Kota Medan, sebagian dari peserta merupakan pelaku usaha berbasis makanan olahan hasil laut atau ikan asin. Meskipun belum semuanya melakukan pemasaran digital dengan baik, namun antusiasme ibu rumah tangga dalam mengembangkan usahanya dan memperdalam bisnis online patut dibanggakan. Dengan dilakukannya pelatihan terkait pemasaran digital, serta monitoring, evaluasi, dan pendampingan kepada mitra melalui Whats App group, diketahui ternyata hampir semua ibu pengusaha kecil belum pernah melakukan pemasaran secara digital dan setelah mengikuti pelatihan dan pendampingan maka ada lima pengusaha yang dapat memasarkan produknya secara digital di Kecamatan Medan Belawan dan sudah mendapatkan izin IBM.Kata Kunci: Kesejahteraan Keluarga, Pemasaran Digital, Pemberdayaan Ekonomi

Abstract

After the passing of the Covid-19 Pandemic, it gave new impacts and challenges in the world of teaching and learning, especially for grade 5 students at SD 067090 Halat who experienced a decrease in their interest in learning. The main factor for this to happen is distance learning which makes students spend more time with smartphones. The impact after the pandemic was over, students became lazy to study at school. This decrease in learning interest affects the final grades of students later. This cannot be allowed to continue because it will not only affect the final grades of students but will also affect the development of students' traits, attitudes and ethics. The problem that exists in grade 5 students at SD Negeri 067090 is the decline in student interest in learning. The monotonous class atmosphere with only material explanations and doing assignments is one of the reasons students feel bored studying in class. Team Games Tournament is a learning procedure that provides opportunities for groups to compete with other groups so that students are passionate about learning. The system applied in this method emphasizes games (games) as learning activities that aim to spur the motivation and spirit of competition in students both physically and mentally with predetermined rules so as to make students enthusiastic during the learning process.

Abstract

Reading, writing and arithmetic are important aspects in elementary school. Students must master the aspects of reading, writing and arithmetic. These aspects of learning have a very important role, because by reading, writing and arithmetic children can learn various ways to improve their knowledge. In addition, in everyday life academic ability is not enough to achieve success in education, but ethics and morals also need to be applied, therefore, in addition to improving calistung abilities. I also provide socialization regarding the application of ethics and morals to students. Ethics and morals are one of the problems of education, especially elementary schools which are one of the contributors to problems in this country, how can it not be, students often encounter lies about what they have done, such as fighting, low respect for parents and teachers, impolite words in communication. The process of providing this assistance will be carried out through PKL I activities by creating a program. Activities will be carried out using the group work method which consists of stages, Assessment, Planning, Intervention, Evaluation, and Termination. The final result of this program was declared successful, as can be seen from the significant changes in the students, namely starting from the students getting better trained in reading, writing, and arithmetic (calistung).

Abstract

Education is the cornerstone of the nation's progress. Realizing an advanced nation is certainly an ideal to be achieved by every country in the world. It is common knowledge that the progress of a country is influenced by educational factors. The Teaching Campus Program is part of the Merdeka Learn Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) policy which aims to broaden the competencies students have by providing an opportunity for students to learn outside the classroom by providing assistance to teachers or education staff at the basic education level. The Merdeka Campus is a form of learning in universities that is autonomous and flexible so as to create a learning culture that is innovative, not restrictive, and in accordance with the needs of students. In this activity, the writer as a student of the Social Welfare Study Program, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, took part in the Teaching Campus Program from Merdeka Learning Campus Teaching (MBKM) at UPT SD 060935, Medan Johor. During its implementation, the authors apply Game-Based Learning to Grade 4 UPT SD 060935 students. The purpose of student participation in the Teaching Campus program is a process of adding relationships, adding experience outside the world of lectures, developing students' insights, character and soft skills.
