Abstract

This article discussed how mathematics instruction should be developed for early childhood education. Some instruction strategies are elaborated such as Developmentally Apropriate Practice, integrated learning, cooperative learning, student active learning, contextual learning, inquiry based learning, and co-parenting. In the implementation of the instructional strategies in this article puts forward a number of considerations.

Abstract

Teachers are one of the most important elements of the school education system, and as pioneers in implementing the learning process, teachers attract public attention for their dedicated and loyal work ethic. This study aims to examine the factors that influence the professionalism of SMA/SMK teachers in South Tangerang City in terms of teacher competence, principal leadership and work motivation. the sample was taken at random a number of 150 teachers. The analysis used in this study uses path analysis with the help of SPSS version 25 software. The results of the research on the sub-structure equation I show that the variables of teacher competence and principal leadership have a significant and significant influence on teacher work motivation. In the sub-structure equation II shows that the competence of teachers, Principal leadership and teacher work motivation have an influence on teacher professionalism. Teacher competence has a significant effect on teacher professionalism, both directly and indirectly through teacher work motivation with values of 0.431 and 0.097 respectively. Likewise, the principal's leadership has a significant effect on teacher professionalism, both directly and indirectly through teacher work motivation with values of 0.188 and 0.047, respectively.

Abstract

This service is carried out on the basis of the lack of understanding of educators in making assessment instruments. As well as the many inability of educators in compiling appropriate assessment assessments for their students. This service is a mentoring activity to increase the professionalism of high school teachers in developing authentic assessment instruments that aim to improve the ability of teachers to make assessment instruments. This service partner is a high school (SMA) located in Bobojong Village, Mande District, Cianjur Regency, West Java. With a focus on activities, namely assisting the development of assessment instruments for high school teachers. The methods used in this activity include lectures, discussions, direct demonstrations, questions and answers, and assignments. These methods are carried out by adjusting the situation and conditions in the classroom. The target to be achieved in the implementation of this activity is to improve the ability of high school teachers in Bobojong Village, Mande District, Cianjur Regency, West Java. in compiling the assessment instrument. In addition, as an outcome, coaching participants are expected to be able to use good assessments when administering education to evaluate the quality of program achievements. We use 2 stages of Kirkpatrick's evaluation, namely reaction and learning. The reaction evaluation is to determine the participants' reactions to the implementation of the training, while the learning evaluation is to measure the abilities obtained before and after the training.

Abstract

Evaluasi pembelajaran tidak lepas dari penggunaan instrumen. Instrumen yang sering diberikan dosen pada pembelajaran pengantar statistika berbentuk tes essay. Instrumen ini sesuai untuk mengukur kemampuan penalaran statistik, akan tetapi memiliki unsur subjektivitas yang tinggi. Sementara untuk bentuk pilihan ganda memiliki unsur objektivitas yang tinggi, tetapi unsur menebak jawaban peserta didik juga tinggi dan kurang dapat mengukur kemampuan peserta. Oleh karena itu perlu dikembangkan bentuk tes pilihan ganda yang memiliki kualitas baik dan dapat mengukur kemampuan penalaran statistik mahasiswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan instrument test kemampuan penalaran statistika mahasiswa yang valid dan reliable. Instrumen tes untuk mengukur kemampuan penalaran statistik adalah instrumen tes yang meliputi aspek penalaran terhadap ukuran pemusatan, ukuran tata letak dan ukuran penyebaran. Instrumen tes tersebut berupa pilihan ganda yang memiliki tingkatan soal analisis (C4), sintesis (C5), dan evaluasi (C6). Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian dan pengembangan. Adapun tahapannya meliputi studi pendahuluan dan pengembangan model. Pada tahap pengembangan model melalui tahap validasi internal (butir), uji coba terbatas (dengan 66 mahasiswa semester V) yang dipilih secara random. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa instrumen yang dikembangkan terdapat 43 butir valid (dari 50 butir yang dikembangkan) dan koefisien reliabilitas Alpha Cronbach sebesar 0,913 (sangat tinggi).

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan kemampuan matematika pada anak usia 5-6 tahun di TTKA Rawamangun Ceria, Jakarta Timur melalui kegiatan di pusat-pusat seni pada bulan Oktober-November 2010. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilakukan melalui satu siklus terdiri dari perencanaan, tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Subyek adalah 6 anak. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan rata-rata yaitu kuantitatif dan proporsi yang dipelajari harus meningkatkan 20%, dan kualitatif sebagai reduksi data, data display, dan verifikasi/kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan 35,52% pada siklus I, sehingga penelitian ini dihentikan pada siklus II. Dengan demikian, dapat dikatakan bahwa kegiatan di pusat-pusat seni bisa mengembangkan matematika pada anak-anak usia 5-6 tahun. Kata kunci: matematika, seni pusat, kegiatan, anak usia 5-6 tahun.
