Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi pengaruh pengencer sitrat dengan kuning telur dan lama penyimpanan terhadap kualitas semen ayam kampung. Semen ditampung dengan menggunakan metode massage punggung abdominal pada ayam jantan. Paramaeter yang diamati pada dalam penelitian ini adalah daya hidup (viability). Setelah ditampung semen segara dievaluasi kemudian diencerkan dengan citrat dan kuning telur dengan perlakuan P0(1:1) sebagai kontrol, P1(1:2), P2(1:3) dan P3(1:4) yang kemudian disimpan dalam suhu ruangan dengan lama 0 menit (control), 45 menit, 90 menit dan 135 menit. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengencer citrate dan kuning telur yang disimpan selama 90 menit pada perlakuan P1 terjadi penurunan viabilitas yang nyata (P< 0,05) dibanding dengan perlakuan P0(control) namun jika dibandingkan dengan perlakuan P2 hasilnya menunjukkan tidak berbeda nyata (P>0,05) namun terjadi tren kenaikan viabilitas pada penyimpanan tersebut. Abstract

Topik pengabdian ini dipilih pada Kelompok Lebah Madu yang merupakan kelompok ternak yang berusaha di bidang ternak kambing Perah sejak tahun 2013 dengan anggota kelompok berjumlah 14 anggota, hingga saat ini masih eksis dan bertahan dalam usahanya namun masih sedikit variasi produk yang dihasilkannya. Masyarakat umumnya tidak terbiasa dengan produk susu kambing, sehingga penjualan produk sangat terbatas. Oleh karena itu, dengan diolahnya produk susu kambing dapat dilakukan diversifikasi untuk memberikan peluang produk baru yang diminati masyarakat. Beberapa produk baru bisa jadi susu kambing diolah menjadi, yogurt, masker dan kombinasi minuman dengan bahan herbal. Hari ini untuk produk makanan olahan susu sapi cukup banyak. Namun produk susu kambing masih terbatas. Hal ini tentu saja menjadi tantangan tersendiri bagi produk ini untuk dikenal dan dicintai oleh semua lapisan masyarakat. Caranya dilakukan dalam bentuk Participatory Rural Appraisal melalui praktik penyuluhan dan pengolahan susu kambing dan tes favorit produk ini. Kali ini pemberdayaan masyarakat selama 3 bulan di lokasi Kelompok Ternak lebah Madu di Desa Sungai Bokor Kecamatan Danau Pematang, Kecamatan Mataraman. Dari haril pelaksanaan pemberdayaan masyarakat, rupanya, sangat antusias dan berhasil membuat yogurt, susu masker dan minuman bubuk ditambah jamu dengan kualitas yang baik termasuk dan tertarik namun perlu adanya terobosan baru dalam pemasaran.

Abstract

       The research of the aim to analyze giving of urea molasses multi-nutrient moringa block (UM3B) to the amount and diameter of follicles in crossbred cattle. A total of 10 cows were used study. all cows were divided two groups, one group consist of 5 crossbreed cows.  Group one was given UM3B, and group two was not given UM3B (control). The result of this study about total of follicle was significant different (P > 0,05) between group one (with UM3B) and group two (control) without UM3B, whereas, the diameters of the follicles was no significant different (P <0,05) among group one with UM3B and group two without UM3B, but trend of diameter of follicle show batter with group one. The conclusion of study was the use of urea molasses multi-nutrient moringa block (UM3B) giving a positive impact on total of follicular growth in the right and left ovary.

Abstract

The aim of this study was to evaluate the effects different extenders on motility, membrane and acrosome integrity of post-thawed bull sperm. Twenty ejaculates from four crossbreed bulls were collected. Within 5 min after sperm collection the fresh semen was divided into three groups based on types of extenders; (1) with Tris buffers, (2) with sodium citrate, and (3) with TALP extenders. A computer assisted semen analysis, hypo-osmotic swelling test, and fluorescence isothiocyanate labelled peanut agglutinin (FITC-PNA) techniques were used to determine motility, membrane integrity and acrosome integrity of spermatozoa, respectively, in both fresh ejaculate and frozen thawed semen. The percentage motility, membrane integrity and acrosome integrity in fresh ejaculate were higher than post-thawed. The sperm motility and membrane integrity were no significantly different (P> 0,05) among all extenders. Whereas, the membrane acrosome integrity of spermatozoa in post-thawed was significantly different (P< 0.05) when TALP extender was compared with sodium citrate, and Tris buffer extenders. In conclusion, all extenders resulted in a better sperm motility, membrane integrity after, while acrosome integrity was no significant after cryopreservation.

Abstract

The purpose of research to know the influence of various media making salted egg on the quality of organoleptic so as to be consideration and information in the use of media making salted egg proper and get better quality. In the implementation of this research design used Completely Randomized Design, which consist of three treatments and five replicates. The treatment is : PG ; salt solutions, PA ; dough ashes rub and PL : dough loam/clay. While test organoleptik salted egg consisted: 1. General appearance, 2. A briny taste egg white and 3. Flavor egg yolk. Data analyzed a sort of descriptive set and models non-parametrik kruskall-walis. The result of this research showed that the treatment significant on general appearance eggs, a briny taste egg white and flavor egg yolk, treatment PG (salt solutions) show the same thing with treatment PA (dough ashes rub) however in contrast to treatment PL (dough loam/clay).

Abstract

This study emphasizes the importance of citric diluents with egg yolks and storage time for semen quality of native chickens. Semen is accommodated using the abdominal back massage method in male chickens. The parameters studied in this research are viability. After being collected semen is evaluated then diluted with citrate and egg yolk by setting P0 (1: 1) as a control, P1 (1: 2), P2 (1: 3) and P3 (1: 4) which are then displayed indoors with long 0 minutes (control), 45 minutes, 90 minutes and 135 minutes. The results showed that the diluent of citrate and egg yolk stored for 90 minutes at the time of P1 treatment had a marked decrease in viability (P <0.05) compared to P0 training (control) but when compared with P2 assistance the results turned out to be unreal (P> 0.05) but there is a trend of increasing viability in the storage.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi komposisi botanis dan kandungan nutrisi dan anti nutisi hijauan rawa purun tikus yang dimodifikasi sebagai pakan kambing lokal berbentuk granul. Analisis nutrisi yang diukur melalui analisis proksimat dan kandungan tannin. Berdasarkan hasil analisis diperoleh hasil bahwa hijauan rawa purun tikus merupakan tanaman hijauan rawa dengan lokasi yang lokasi vegetasinya berada dekat dengan air. Hijauan rawa tanaman purun tikus  terdiri atas daun dan batang menyatu denan proporsi 88% dan akar  12%. Adapun kandungan nutrisi purun tikus adalah  kadar air 11,93%, lemak kasar 1,01%, protein kasar 8,67 dan serat kasar 24,48%. Dilihat dari komposisi botani  purun tikus,sangat potensial digunakan sebagai pakan ternak kambing. Adapun tempat tumbuh hijauan purun tikus adalah dekat dengan air/sungai

Abstract

The study aimed to analyze the type of swamp forage and its combination in granule complete feed products for their nutrient content and digestibility. This study have been done on Juli until September, 2018 in Field Laboratory at Bentok Kampung-Tanah Laut District. Randomized Block Design was used in this research with 3 treatments and 4 replications.  Twenty goats aged 1.5-2 years with a weight ranging from 15-19 kg were used in this study. Data were analyzed by Analysis of varian and if there is significant difference then the Duncan Multi Range Test (DMRT)  is continued. The results of the study show that  swamp forage kalakai (Stenochlaena palustris), and purun tikus (Heleocharis dulcis Burm) significantly different to the crude protein content, crude fiber, crude fat, ADF and NDF fiber fraction. The complete granule feed on the basis of a combination of forage swamps and legumes affects the digestibility of organic matter and crude protein. The low content of tannin in swamp forages has not been able to optimally protect crude protein in complete granule feed.
