Abstract

The maintenance of the Qur?an from the past until now gives an indication that Muslims are obliged to always maintain and keep it, by reading, writing or memorizing. It aims to keep the Qur?an on its authenticity throughout the lifetime of change and replacement. This paper will discuss the method of tahfidz al-Qur?an in the Majelis Qira?ah wat Tahfidz (MQT) pondok pesantren Murattil al-Qur?an (PPMQ) in Lirboyo, Kediri. This research was conducted with a qualitative approach. The data collection was through interviews, observation and documentation techniques. The results concluded that the MQT Assembly used various methods in the activities of tahfidz al-Qur?an, which was to read and memorize verses of the Qur?an collectively (jama?), read carefully one by one the verses of the Qur?an that would be memorized by looking at the Qur?an repeatedly (wah}dah and bi al-nadzar), depositing a new memorization to ustadz or kiyai (talaqqi), memorizing back verses of the Qur?an that had been deposited to ustadz or kiyai (takrir), and playing rote to the other santri (tasmi?).

Abstract

A review of epistemology of al-Qurtubi tafsir is very important. This is to determine how the origins, sources, methods, and steps are taken by the author. As comprehensive tafsir with fiqh pattern, this work contributes information and relatively different approach in which the author is far from fanaticism sect. He uses various arguments of the scholars then he chooses a strong one according to the mufassir. With descriptive-analytic study, this paper finds that al-Qurtubi epistemology base is a combination of bil ma'sur and bil ma'qul, a combination of textual and contextual which expresses many perspectives before it has been chosen as the truth by al-Qurtubi without fanaticism impression against embraced sect. Based on the review of his resume, this paper proves that the interpretation of al-Qurtubi is a representation in which the author associates and responds to the problems that happened at that era and answers based on the era.

Abstract

New methodologies and approaches in the study of the Qur’an are very much carried out by contemporary reviewers. This is actually influenced by the understanding of the Qur’an which always experiences dynamics in the times. This paper specifically addresses Muhammad Syahrûr’s contemporary thinking about the Qur’an in al-Kitâb wa al-Qur’ân. By descriptive-analytical study, the writer concludes understanding the Qur’an according to Syahrûr can be done by contextualizing the Quranic verses with a linguistic structure and scientific, philosophical, historical, psychological, and sociological approaches. He wants the content of the Qur’an to be in harmony with current social dynamics, the readers always actualize themselves extensively by not resting on the products of classical thought that have been considered established and sacred, and the Qur’an as if it had just been revealed, so that it can deconstruct and reconstruct the scientific knowledge of the Qur’an which has been considered final.[Metodologi dan pendekatan baru dalam studi Al-Qur’an marak dilakukan oleh para pengkaji kontemporer. Hal ini sejatinya dipengaruhi pemahaman tentang Al-Qur’an yang selalu mengalami dinamika dalam perkembangan zaman. Artikel ini secara spesifik mengulas pemikiran kontemporer Muhammad Syahrûr tentang Al-Qur’an dalam al-Kitâb wa al-Qur’ân. Dengan telaah deskriptif-analitis, penulis menyimpulkan bahwa pemahaman Al-Qur’an menurut Syahrûr dapat dilakukan dengan cara mengkontekstualisasikan Al-Qur’an dengan struktur linguistik serta pendekatan saintifik, filosofis, historis, psikologis, dan sosiologis. Dia menginginkan kandungan Al-Qur’an selaras dengan dinamika sosial kekinian, para pembaca senantiasa mengaktualisasikan diri secara ekstensif dengan tidak berpijak pada produk pemikiran Islam klasik yang telah dianggap mapan dan sakral, dan memosisikan Al-Qur’an seakan-akan baru saja diwahyukan, sehingga dapat mendekonstruksi sekaligus merekonstruksi tradisi keilmuan Al-Qur’an yang selama ini telah dianggap final]

Abstract

Abstract: One of the words of the Qur’an which shows the meaning of the one who possesses knowledge is ūlū al-albāb. Ūlū al-albāb is the 16 terms mentioned in 10 letters in the Qur’an. Every verse contained in various letters certainly has a different meaning, so it requires a deep understanding. Disclosure of the meaning ūlū al-albāb will be analyzed by the author by using semantic al-Qur'an developed by Toshihiko Izutsu. The semantic of the Qur’an according to Izutsu is an attempt to expose the worldview of the Qur’an (weltanschauung) through semantic analysis of the vocabulary or key terms of the Qur’an. The process undertaken in this study is to examine the basic meaning and relational meaning of ūlū al-albāb by using syntagmatic and paradigmatic analysis, then to examine the use of vocabulary ūlū al-albāb in pre-Qur’anic, Qur’anic and post-Qur’anic.Abstrak: Salah satu kata al-Qur’an yang menunjukkan makna orang yang memiliki akal pengetahuan adalah ūlū al-albāb. Ūlū al-albāb merupakan istilah yang disebutkan sebanyak 16 kali yang terliput dalam 10 surah di dalam al-Qur’an. Di setiap ayat yang terdapat di berbagai surah tentunya memiliki makna yang berbeda, sehingga membutuhkan pemahaman yang mendalam. Peng­ungkapan makna ūlū al-albāb tersebut akan penulis analisa dengan meng­gunakan semantik al-Qur’an yang dikembangkan oleh Toshihiko Izutsu. Semantik al-Qur’an menurut Izutsu merupakan sebuah usaha menyingkap pandangan dunia al-Qur’an (weltanschauung) melalui analisis semantik terhadap kosakata atau istilah-istilah kunci al-Qur’an. Proses yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini adalah meneliti makna dasar dan makna relasional kata ūlū al-albāb dengan menggunakan analisis sintagmatik dan paradigmatik, kemudian meneliti penggunaan kosakata ūlū al-albāb pada masa pra-Qur’anik, Qur’anik dan pasca-Qur’anik.

Abstract

AbstrakAllah menciptakan manusia sebagai khalifah di bumiuntuk mengemban sebuah amanat dengan dibekalidua perangkat canggih: akal pikiran dan hati perasaan. Sebagai makhluk yang memiliki akal dan hati, manusia tidak bisa terlepas begitu saja dari kobaranhawa nafsu yang dapat menyesatkan pelakunya pada akhlak dan sifat tercela. Tulisan ini membahas intrerpretasi perilaku Riyadalam perspektif Alquran. Metode yang digunakan penulis ialah tematik, yakni menjadikan ayat-ayat yang berbicara tentang Riyasebagai kajian utama tanpa mengenyampingkan literatur-literatur lainnya. Selain itu,tulisan ini murni studi pustaka dengan analisa data intertekstualitas,dengan harapan dapat memberikan kontribusi ilmiah pada setiap personal-individual untuk senantiasa muhasabah diri, serta dapat melengkapi kajian wacana tentanginterpretasi perilakuRiyadalam perspektif Alquran.Sejauh penelusuran penulis, selain sifat Riya merupakan salah satu sifat orang munafik, ia jugatermasukdalam perilakusyirik ashghar yang menjadi palang pintu bagi masuknya syirik akbar. Tulisan ini menunjukkan bahwaRiya merupakan suatu sikap dalam melakukan amal salehyang tidak berdasarkan pada niat ibadah kepada Allah, namun ditujukan kepadamanusia amal saleh yang dilakukan sebagai cara untuk mendapatkan pujian dan popularitas, serta berharap agar orang lain tersebut memberikan kedudukan dan penghormatan kepadanya.

Abstract

Sebuah realita memberi indikasi bahwa harta merupakan salah satu sendi kehidupan manusia di dunia sekaligus penegak keutuhan rumah tangga. Tak ayal jika manusia menjadikan harta sebagai dasar asasi bagi segala bentuk pekerjaan untuk mendapatkannya. Arus mengalirnya al-amwa>l, yakni harta yang berupa uang dan barang bisa di dapat dari hasil kerja yang sesuai dengan aturan agama, seperti hasil berdagang, bertani dan berbagai bentuk kerja yang menghasilkan upah dan jasa. Namun ada juga yang tidak sesuai dengan aturan agama, seperti hasil mencuri, menipu, merampok, suap menyuap dan sistem ekonomi riba. Pada intinya, hasil pendapatan manusia dalam memperoleh harta, baik uang maupun barang ada dua macam; yakni halal dan haram (ba>t}il). Dengan demikian, tulisan ini bermaksud menjelaskan harta ba>t}il dalam al-Qur’an, kemudian ditafsirkan dengan berbagai pendapat para mufassir klasik maupun kontemporer guna menghasilkan pemahaman yang signifikan.

Abstract

This paper discusses the epistemology of the bi al-ma?tsur interpretation from the book of Jami? al-Bayan ?An Ta?wil Ay al-Qur?an author by al-Tabari. The description covers how the author takes sources, methods, styles, and steps. As an interpretation of bi al-ma?tsur, this interpretation book contributes to a relative different approach from the previous mufassir. Al-Tabari in the interpretation is very dominant in using some histories such as the hadith of the Prophet, companions, and tabi?in, then he select strong opinions in accordance with what he wants. Based on the epistemology basis of bayani in terms of al-Jabiri, this paper will be supplemented with the evidences of the tafsir al-Tabari, how it really is. With descriptive-analytic study, it was found that the epistemology base is a combination of bi al-ma?tsur and bi al-ra?yi which expresses many perspectives before it has been chosen as the truth by al-Tabari. Other than that, the step of interpreting the Qur?an from the beginning to the end in the order of the manuscripts, and its discussion reviewed in detail and length, the book of tafsir al-Tabari is classified that it uses method tahlili.

Abstract

Not a few of the archipelago gave birth to world-class scholars. One of them is Muhammad Nawawi al-Bantani, from Serang, Banten. He was a scholar who was very productive in writing, and many of the books he wrote were in Arabic. Among his phenomenal works is in the field of Sufism, Salalim al-Fudhala’ ‘ala Hidayat al-Adzkiya ‘ila Thariq al-Auliya’. This paper tries to explore the thoughts of the mysticism of Nawawi mysticism in the book Salalim al-Fudhala’. With pure literature study and intertextuality data analysis, it was found that the thoughts of Nawawi Sufism can be classified into nine parts, namely repentance, qana'ah, zuhud, studying the knowledge of Shari’a, practicing the Sunnah of the Prophet, tawakal, sincerity, ‘uzlah (isolating oneself), and take advantage of time. The concept of Maqamat Tasawuf Nawawi is an implementation of the basic concept of Sufism, namely piety and integration between Shari'a, tarekat and essence.
