Abstract

The development of Leather Crafting Center “Sawo Street” in Magetan Regency is supported by the increasing numbers of tourists who visit the place, the increasing numbers of leather craft showrooms, the availability of development area, great amount of raw materials, and the local crafters as the embryo of this industrial tourism. Therefore, the objective of this design is about achieving an area design which provides the facilities for shopping tourism activities, especially for leather crafting products, facilitate industrial tourism activities and training activities for the crafters into the building design that expresses local area architecture as the land mark of Magetan Regency. The problem of the design is about how the finishing of mass system of the buildings in the area and the expression of buildings with local architecture can be interpreted into the area design of Leather Crafting Center “Sawo Street” in Magetan Regency. The method used in this study is architecture design method. The achieved result is the design of leather crafting shopping center, industrial tourism, and training center area in the form of supporting building facilities in a tourism area in order to optimize the function of Leather Crafting Center “Sawo Street” in Magetan Regency as industrial tourism area.

Abstract

Abstract:  Child Friendly City Award which was given to the city of Surakarta in 2013, became a separate lashes at the same zeal for the administration to continue to defend the rights of children, autistic children are no exception. Children with autism are children who have developmental disorders of communication, social interaction, and behavior, which have special needs for the sake of the recovery process as well as efforts to become an independent person. In the process leading to independence, there is a structured learning program, which is considered to have the effectiveness of the child in the recovery process, because the process is gradual. These stages contained in the advanced curriculum level of independence that must be done or achieved by the children, who then become a reference in the planning and design decisions Autistic Children Service Center. The purpose of this scheme is to realize a physical container that can accommodate activities to play, learn, and an integrated therapy, which is in accordance with the characteristics and level of independence for children with autism. Design issues are: how to implement advanced curriculum level of independence in children with autism in the planning and design of Autistic Children Service Center in Surakarta, to realize a physical container that is capable of stimulated children more independent in doing activities in an integrated manner. The method used is the method of architectural design. The result is a design Autistic Child Care Center, a physical container to learn, play,  and child therapy, advanced curriculum of the degree of independence, so that stimulated the child and assist the process of recovery and independence. Keywords: Child Autism, Autism Child Care Centre, Level of Independence

Abstract

Abstract: Many activities and events related to the MICE held in Solo, ranging from local to international scales, both indoors and outdoors. However, the abundance of MICE activities were not followed by the development of MICE facilities in Solo. The MICE’s existing facilities in Solo didn’t accommodated MICE activities so well. Therefore, Solo require a facility that can accommodate a variety of MICE events in Solo. This is the writer’s background to design a Solo MICE Hall’s building with various supporting facilities. Java traditional house also has a part that function as meeting area, that called pendhapa. The problem design is how to applying pendhapa’s philosophical essence in Solo MICE Hall’s building. The method used is application of analogy architecure to the design. The result is the design of the MICE facilities in Solo with applying pendhapa’s philosophical essence using analogy method, so this building is expected to have a value of Javanese building summarized in a design Solo MICE Hall. Keywords: Pendhapa, MICE, Analogy of Architecure

Abstract

This paper concerns about Designing Community Centre in Purwokerto as Creative-Collaborative space by using co-working space. Co-working space is one way to induce creative ideas, because it makes it possible for people to share and learn together with other people from different background. This space also anables people to connect and collaborate to create ideas.As Purwokerto is one of the cities in Indonesia whose concern about developing its creative communities, this city has a potential to be the locus for the Community Centre. This article will then focus on the designing of the Community Centre by using co-working space for inducing creative and collaborative activities in Purwokerto. Some key aspects of co-working space to be applied in the design are the services, spatial layout and ambience of space.
