Abstract

Abstrak Permasalahan kemasan (packaging) pada saat ini berkait erat dengan masih rendahnya pemahaman produsen dalam membuat kemasan yang mampu mengangkat nilai isi produk di dalamnya. Bahkan masih banyak produk berkualitas yang belum dikemas secara baik, kurang estetik, dan mampu menjelaskan isi produk dengan memadai. Potensi budaya setempat seperti motif batik, juga masih berjalan sendiri dan belum banyak diangkat menjadi bagian dari suatu kemasan. Motif batik Mega Mendung, Cirebon sudah menjadi ikon motif batik Jawa Barat adalah satu motif yang dapat diangkat menjadi bagian dari kemasan. Tulisan ini memakai metode deskriptif-kualitatif untuk menciptakan kemasan sesuai potensi daerah Trusmi, Cirebon, Jawa Barat. Temuan dari tulisan ini adalah suatu produk yang didesain kemasan secara estetis dan ergonomis, memudahkan pembeli dalam mengenal budaya setempat menjadi lebih baik. Kata Kunci: batik, desain, ide, kemasan, Mega Mendung AbstractThe problem of packaging at this time is closely related to the minor understanding of producers in making packaging that can lift the value of the contents of the product. There are still many quality products that have not the package properly, limited aesthetic, and can’t be able to explain the contents of the product adequately. Potential of local culture such as batik motifs, also still run by themselves, and not many have designated as part of a package. Mega Mendung, Trusmi, Cirebon batik pattern has become an icon of West Java batik pattern that delegated as part of the package medium. This paper uses a descriptive-qualitative method to create packaging according to the regional potential of the Trusmi, Cirebon, West Java region. The findings of this paper are a product that designed aesthetically and ergonomically designed, making it easier for buyers to get to know the local culture better. Keywords: batik, design, idea, Mega Mendung, packaging

Abstract

Abstract Drawing learning methods have the aim to develop children's creativity, both formal and informal schools. Observations made in elementary schools and creative studios have two different types of images, namely storytelling and patterned pictures. Some of the images look engineered, so they do not look typical of children's drawings. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of drawing learning methods in children aged 6-9 years in formal schools and the suitability of the drawing results in the development of the visual language of children's drawings. The study used a mixed-method, descriptive qualitative by collecting photos, videos, behavioral observations. Quantitative by way of tabulating visual language to analyze the picture has a scheme in accordance with the development of the visual language of children's drawings. The theory used is the theory of drawing learning methods and the theory of visual language. The research findings namely, the method of learning to draw free and correlated expressions is very effectively used, because it focuses the child on the process rather than the result. The results of drawings in two schools have results that are in accordance with the stages of the development of the visual language of children's drawings. The method can be used as a reference in learning in formal schools to develop children's creativity. The direct method is not appropriate to use at the elementary school level because it makes the results of children's drawings not in accordance with the language development scheme. Efektivitas Metode Pembelajaran Menggambar Terhadap Perkembangan Bahasa Rupa Gambar Anak Usia 6 – 9 Tahun (Studi Kasus Sekolah Dasar Kota Bandung) Abstrak Metode pembelajaran menggambar memiliki tujuan untuk mengembangakan kreativitas anak, baik sekolah formal maupun informal. Pengamatan yang dilakukan di sekolah dasar dan sanggar kreatif terdapat dua jenis gambar yang berbeda, yaitu gambar bercerita dan berpola. Beberapa gambar terlihat direkayasa, sehingga tidak tampak kekhasan gambar anak. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui efektivitas metode pembelajaran menggambar pada anak usia 6-9 tahun di sekolah formal serta kesesuaian hasil gambar terhadap perkembangan bahasa rupa gambar anak. Penelitian menggunakan metode campuran, kualitatif desktiptif dengan mengumpulkan foto, video, observasi perilaku. Kuantitatif dengan cara tabulasi bahasa rupa untuk menganalisis gambar tersebut memiliki skema yang sesuai dengan perkembangan bahasa rupa gambar anak. Teori yang digunakan adalah teori metode pembelajaran menggambar dan teori bahasa rupa. Temuan penelitian yaitu, metode pembelajaran menggambar ekspresi bebas dan berkorelasi sangat efektif digunakan, karena memfokuskan anak pada proses bukan hasil akhir. Hasil gambar pada dua sekolah memiliki hasil yang sesuai dengan tahapan perkembangan bahasa rupa gambar anak. Metode tersebut dapat dijadikan acuan dalam pembelajaran di sekolah formal untuk mengembangkan kreativitas anak. Metode langsung kurang tepat digunakan pada tingkat sekolah dasar karena membuat hasil gambar anak tidak sesuai skema perkembangan bahasa rupa gambar anak.

Abstract

KNITTING TECHNIQUE TRAINING FOR CLASS 1 AND 2 ELEMENTARY SCHOOL TEACHERS USING LEARNING MEDIA IN THE FORM OF VIDEO TUTORIALS. In a child's development, patience is needed to train brain development, because one way to stimulate a child’s brain development is by introducing various activities that require accuracy, patience and good hand and eye coordination such as knitting that requires accuracy. Today the problem in knitting is limited human resources. The purpose of community service is to introduce how to knit to children aged 7 and 8 through their teachers at school. With the intention of reaching a wider audience. The method used in the implementation of community service activities is divided into 2 (two), namely the training phase and the assistance stage. During this training, participants will make 2 (two) knitting products in the form of a pencil holder or coin holder and skullcaps. Each knitting product uses a different knitting tool. The purpose of using different tools is so that participants know and can compare which tools are more easily applied to their students. With this skill, participants can provide knitting material for a longer period of time for their students.

Abstract

TRAINING OF EDUCATORS IN APPLYING THE DRAWING LANGUAGE METHOD IN THE FORM OF CHILDREN’S PICTURES. Research-based disablement refers to the results of a 2018 study in Bandung City Elementary School which showed 57.14% of low-grade teaching staff used the modeling method of drawing learning so that in the language development scheme the visual images of children did not match their stage of age. Coblong Subdistrict, Bandung City has unique characteristics that live in the middle of the city but still maintain the structure of the urban village. The highest number of public elementary schools in the city of Bandung and does not have special art educators. The purpose of devotion is to provide training to low-grade educators to be able to apply drawing learning methods that are appropriate to the stage of the child's age characterized by visual images of children in accordance with the development of children's visual language development schemes, and can appreciate children's work appropriately. The dedication method uses Action Review with stages, observations, training, assistance, evaluation and follow-up. The results of dedication based on indicators of learning methods that are correlated with the results of children's learning shows that 99% of teaching staff can apply methods that are appropriate to the characteristics of students, age, and appropriate language language schemes. still modeling. Educators are not confused in appreciating children's drawings, because the reference of visual language development schemes and educators can develop creative and interesting material in learning. The follow-up program is a form of appreciation for the needs of educators in the field, from the results of training and mentoring evaluations, educators need book references as a guide in art learning, especially related to drawing methods, children's visual language and ways to appreciate children's drawings.

Abstract

AbstrakKegiatan ekonomi kreatif pada industri batik rakyat di Indonesia dan Malaysia masih sangat terbatas. Selama ini kegiatan ekonomi kreatif industri batik rakyat di Indonesia dan Malaysia belum bersentuhan dengan teknologi digital dalam bentuk aplikasi. Permasalahan industri batik rakyat, salah satunya adalah belum memiliki sumber daya manusia yang mendukung kegiatan ekonomi kreatif berbasis teknologi digital. Sementara itu industri batik rakyat yang sudah memanfaatkan teknologi digital seperti aplikasi digital, juga memiliki keterbatasan dalam memenuhi permintaan pasar dunia yang heterogen. Aplikasi dengan nama SDBP-22 (Self Design Batik Prototype 2022) hasil kolaborasi Indonesia - Malaysia. Tulisan ini memakai metode deskriptif-eksperimentatif. Berangkat dari sumber data digital (e-journal, e-book). Kegiatan produksi batik pada industri rakyat, belum banyak bersentuhan dengan teknologi e-ekonomi, termasuk dalam perancangan desain motif batik yang sesuai permintaan konsumen. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah meningkatkan kemampuan adaptasi industri batik rakyat yang perlu didukung oleh teknologi digital melalui desain aplikasi dan mampu memenuhi selera estetika konsumen secara lebih personal dan spesifik. Kata Kunci: aplikasi, batik, ekonomi kreatif, kolaborasi   AbstractThe creative economic activities in the people's batik industry, many of which have not been in contact with digital technology in the form of apllication in Indonesia and Malaysia. The problems so far in the people's batik industry, one of which is not having human resources that support digital technology-based creative economic activities. Meanwhile, the batik industry, which has utilized digital technology such as digital application, also has limitations in meeting the demands of the heterogeneous world market. The application with the name SDBP-22 (Self Design Batik Prototype 2022) is the result of the collaboration between Indonesia and Malaysia. This paper uses a descriptive-experimental method depart from digital data sources (e-journals, e-books).  This paper offers an idea that can connect consumer demand in the creation of batik motifs according to consumer needs with traditional batik producers. The findings of this paper are the adaptability of the people's batik industry in responding to the world of the creative economy, it really needs to be supported by digital technology that can meet the tastes or aesthetic tastes of consumers in a more personal and specific way. Keywords: batik, collaboration, creative economy, prototype

Abstract

This community service program applied a training method to improve teacher skills as the primary source of learning for students in schools in order to cultivate high-quality of high vocational school students so that they can be absorbed by the business and industrial sectors. The training was carried out within a period of three months covering various topics from basic understanding of videography, utilizing video advertisement ideas, video processing techniques and audio processing techniques. The objective of this training was to equip qualified teachers with the ability to foster high-quality vocational students who possess the skills desired by the business and industrial sectors. The training successfully resulted in six teachers who were able to independently create advertising videos, while the other four teachers still required rfurther training to become more accustomed to video production. As a follow-up to this activity, an electronic book accompanied by a video advertisement production tutorial will be developed to support the professional development needs of the participating teachers at SMKN 14 Bandung.

Abstract

Community Service based on research results in 2019, the results of the applied research are the basic techniques of creating an illustrated digital image into animation with the characteristics of a flat-space-time image and the basic stopmotion video editing techniques applied using a smartphone. The stopmotion technique is a basis that can be utilized optimally, the Covid-19 pandemic situation which limits the use of school computer laboratory facilities is a learning obstacle for students who do not have personal computers. The practical use of smartphones is able to produce good stopmotion video animation works, so the training focuses on SMK Multimedia teachers. The goal is that teachers can optimize smartphones to create stopmotion video animations as a way of learning for their students. The action review method is used so that the implementation of effective and solution training uses eight steps, namely problem identification, problem formulation, alternative identification, alternative determination, planning, program implementation, monitoring, evaluation and action review. The target audience is SMK Karya Budi's Multimedia Department, Cilenuyi District, Bandung Regency, totaling 11 people consisting of 5 expertise teachers and 6 adaptive normative teachers. The training is conducted offline and online. The results of the evaluation show that the teacher needs the help of video tutorials to repeat the training more, but overall the teacher is able to create animation from illustration images of the features of flat-space-time images and stop motion video editing using applications on smartphones.

Abstract

Keterampilan Thinking Skills merupakan keterampilan dasar yang harus dikuasai siswa dalam Pembelajaran Abad XXI yang dirilis PBB. Kemampuan ini di dalamnya mengharuskan siswa untuk selalu berpikir kreatif dalam memecahkan suatu permasalahan. Metode Computational Thinking, yaitu di mana siswa dituntut untuk memformulasikan masalah menjadi bentuk masalah komputasi dan menyusun solusi komputasi dengan logika matematika dan informatika. Dalam kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PKM) Kepakaran Bidang ilmu ini, telah diperkenalkan konsep Computational Thinking bagi Guru Sekolah Dasar (SD) dengan tujuan para Guru dapat memberikan keterampilan bagi siswa SD dalam menghadapi materi Pembelajaran Abad XXI. Dalam PKM ini telah digunakan metode tindak lanjut, dengan kegiatan pelatihan berkala, pendampingan secara intensif kepada guru sekolah dasar sebagai anggota pelatihan dan evaluasi kegiatan melalui uji kompetensi dasar bagi peserta terkait konsep Computational Thinking dengan hasil rata-rata dari seluruh peserta didapatkan nilai 70.25% terkait soal-soal dasar mengenai Computational Thinking. Hal tersebut menunjukan peserta cukup paham terkait konsep pengerjaan soal Computational Thinking untuk tingkat Sekolah Dasar.
