Abstract

Pengasapan karet RSS adalah metode pengawetan dan pengeringan karet lembaranmenggunakan asap kayu bakar agar jamur tidak tumbuh saat penyimpanan. Pada umumnya pengasapan karet RSS konvensional membutuhkan waktu 5-6 hari dan konsumsi kayu asap sebanyak 4 m3 per ton karet kering. Selain itu mutu RSS juga ditentukan oleh pengontrolan yang rutin mengenai bahan bakar kayu dan suhu ruang pengasapan. Penelitian ini berupaya meningkatkan mutu karet RSS dan efisiensi energi proses pengasapan karet RSS dengan menerapkan sistem kendali otomatis berbasis mikrokontroller yang dapat mengatur konsentrasi asap dan suhu.  Sistem kendali ini merupakan sistem yang akan mengatur suhu dan kepekatan asap pada setiap tingkatan suhu. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk melakukan perancangan dan pengujian pengendalian suhu dan konsentrasi ruang asap karet RSS menggunakan mikrokontroller. Prosedur penelitian ini mencakup; 1) Disain dan Konstruksi, 2) Merancang perangkat keras  kendali, 3) Merancang perangkat lunak, 4) Kalibrasi Sensor LM 35 dan 5) Pengujian sistem kendali pada ruang pengasap. Hasil pengujian sistem kendali suhu dan konsentrasi asap adalah proses pengasapan karet RSS terbagi pada 4 tingkatan suhu yaitu suhu 400C-450C selama 12 jam, suhu 450C-500C selama 12 jam, suhu 500C-550C selama 12 jam, dan suhu 550C-600C selama 24 jam. Keberhasilan pengujian ini dicapai selama 60 jam atau 2,5 hari. Mutu karet RSS berwarna coklat transparan, tidak timbul gelembung dan lembaran tidak tambah panjang atau putus. Karet RSS menjadi dominan mutu RSS 1 setelah terjadi penguapan air sebesar 35,78%. Adapun panjang karet RSS berkurang sebesar 3,81%, lebar berkurang sebesar 8,95% dan ketebalan bertambah sebesar 4,36%. Penggunaan kayu bahan bakar asap sekitar 2 m3 dengan kapasitas karet RSS 1.000 Kg.

Abstract

 Indonesia is a tropical country with high ambient temperatures for broilers since daily temperature reaches an average daily temperature of 360C (maximum) and 320 C (minimum); whereas the optiml temperature for broilers is in the range of 28-300C. Thefefore, midle or large scale broiler industries have been using a control system to maintain the optimal temperature within a broiler house. Therefore, the role of a control system for regulating environmental parameters, not only temperature but also humidity, light intensity, and amonia content level, is very critical and relevant for better broiler production. This study aims to design an ANFIS control system for controlling the temperature inside a broiler house (closed house) for broiler. Data is collected at three different periods of the starter period (5 days): 29.50C-30.900C, a period of 25 days is a grower-29.0C 34.20C, and the finisher of 30 days is obtained 33.20C. Set point control simulation using the same temperature 290C for starter, grower and finisher period. The simulation results show the output in a closed house temperature fluctuates around set point the 290C-340C.

Abstract

This research is the development of autonomous tractor. Although research for automatic tractor have been carried out, but it is still developed to get more precision and optimal method. The purpose of this research is to develop a trajectory control system tractor to follow a straight-line when the working soil tillage. Model that was developed to be able calculate steering angle correction of the tractor position so that the tractor will run on a reference trajectory. Tractor position is determined from RTK DGPS. Tractor direction is calculated from two position of tractor. Control algorithm consists of the arrangement of commands to control the tractor move the reference trajectory. Simulations were performed to determine controlling algorithm ability  the tractor to follow reference trajectory. The algorithm ability is tested in real conditions on a straight- line path along 30 m with a speed of tractor 0.5 m/s in a field. The test results obtained in the field of performance accuracy rate is 97.13% control and average deviation with reference trajectory is 8.62 cm.ABSTRAKPenelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan traktor otomatis. Meskipun penelitian mengenai traktor otomatis telah banyak dilakukan, namun pengembangan masih terus dilakukan untuk mendapatkan presisi yang lebih tinggi dan metode yang optimal. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengembangkan sistem pengendali kemudi traktor agar dapat mengikuti jalur kerja lintasan lurus ketika melakukan kegiatan pengolahan tanah. Model yang dikembangkan harus mampu menghitung sudut setir koreksi dari posisi traktor agar traktor mampu berjalan pada lintasan lurus yang telah ditentukan. Arah pergerakan traktor diketahui dari perbandingan dua posisi traktor yang diperoleh dari RTK DGPS. Algoritma pengendalian terdiri dari susunan perintah-perintah untuk mengendalikan traktor bergerak mengikuti lintasan acuan. Simulasi dilakukan untuk mengetahui kemampuan algoritma yang telah dibuat untuk mengendalikan traktor agar dapat berjalan mengikuti lintasan acuan. Kemampuan algoritma tersebut kemudian diuji dalam kondisi riil dilapangan pada lintasan lurus sepanjang 30 m dengan kecepatan traktor 0.5 m/s. Hasil pengujian di lapangan diperoleh tingkat akurasi kinerja kontrol sebesar 97.13% dan besar simpangan rata-rata terhadap lintasan acuan sebesar 8.62 cm.

Abstract

Machine vision is one of the image processing techniques used to process the image of an object according to its color, shape, size by using a video camera as an image capturer. The image processing used in this study, could be categorized as one of the machine vision techniques, eventhough using three dimensional vision sensor as an image capturer.The three dimensional vision sensor constructed using two laser beams namely the red laser (685 nm) and the infrared laser (830 nm) as the light transmitter and tow position sensitive device (PSDs) as the receiver unit. The output signals of each PSD were detected from two output terminals called anode A and anode B. Three kind of signals namely red A+B, infrared A and infrared B were collected the red ripe chili fruits from their canopy and to calculate the cutting point of the individual fruit's stem three dimensionally.

Abstract

This paper presents a scheme to build a system of musculosceletal maesurement using Electromyography and for measuring physical dynamic workload of local muscles, i.e., drilling activities. Electro-myography (EMG) can be signal of muscle contractions and provides continous record as the analog signal. The result of this dynamic local workload measurement show a nonlinear relationship between peak level power spectra of EMG signal and torque. the work load for drilling 0.8 mm to 5 mm plate activities ranges between 0,1513 to 1, 6979 Joule.

Abstract

Dielectric properties indicated the ability of a system to store, transmit anf reflect electromagnetic wave energy. Recently, the utilization of the properties in agriculture field tends tio increase. For example, dielectric drying of biological material is based on the product's ability to absorb electromagnetic radiation and convert inyo heat. In addition, lower energy application of the property can be utilitized for non-destructive measurement of water content.For a more broed application, measurement of the property anf the influencing factors is indispensable.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to predict the water and nutrient status during the growth of red chili plant by means of an image processing and artificial neural network algorithm. In this study, about 150 chili plants were cultivated at LeuwiKopo's Greenhouse but only 30 plants were chosen as sampbs. The data were collected using a CCD Camera only during the vegetative growth and the collected data were analyzed using a back propagation artificial neural network. The results showed the linear relationship between the predicted and targetvalues of water with a coefficient determination of 0.728 and 0.973 for the training and validation data, respectively. The linear relationships were also found between the predicted and target values of nutrient with a coefficient determination of 0.716 and 0.963 for the training and validation data, respectively

Abstract

The freshness of the dead fish is very difficult to be known visually whereas the use of chemical analyses is not only time consuming but also is not readily available at for market. Therefore, it is considered necessary to find out a newmethod for that purpose. In this. research, a prototype instrument for measuring freshness of the dead fish was designed based on the fish electrical resistance. The sensor was made of a couple of steel wires with diameter of 0.5 mm. During measurement, the wires sensor was inserted into the fish body with the distance of 2 cm to each other. Result of the research showed linear relationship between dead fish freshness and its resistance. The linear relationship was also found between water content of the fish body and its resistance.

Abstract

AbstractUnmanned tractors, even though it uses global positioning system (GPS) technology to identify the working path, still require an ability to recognize the environment in front of it in order to avoid obstacles thatmay exist. A device that can be used to recognize the environment in front of the tractor and avoid obstacles that may exist, is the camera. However, images captured by the camera need to be processed to detect possible obstacles at the front of the tractor. This study aimed to develop image processing algorithms to detect the possible presence of obstacles on the path to be traversed by an unmanned tractor, and directed the tractor to a safe path by giving the new coordinates when there are obstacles in front of it. Abstract

Abstrack Coffee has good prospects as a motor of development in Indonesia agribusiness  and agroindustry, therefore needs to be handled properly and professionally. Grading process in commercial green coffee asgrain commodity is still done manually. This process has the disadvantage of low efficiency, objectivity and the level of consistency. Therefore weneed a machine that can workautomatically to classify the quality of the green coffee by visual inspection. Theobjective of this study was to design the  green coffee sorting machine controlled by a computer based on image processing program consisted of conveyor belt, the image capture station used twodigital cameras, and the parallelsimulator divider. The design of sorting machine was used for the development of the green coffee sorting system that will categorizeinto four quality classes based on the qualifications according to the standard of SCAA ( Specialty Coffee Association of America).
