Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan kecenderungan pemilihan bahasa yang digunakan oleh kalangan terpelajar.. Metode penelitian yang dipakai, yaitu metode deskriptif. Populasi dari penelitian ini adalah semua dosen JPBS FKIP Universitas Bengkulu, teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah teknik purposive sampling, jumlah sampel sebanyak 20 orang. Data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan kuesioner dan dianalisis secara deskriptif dengan menggunakan persentase. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kecenderungan pemilihan bahasa kalanagan terpelajar adalah bahasa Indonesia baik dalam  situasi formal maupun situasi informal.

Abstract

This study analyzed the proportion of language skills in English textbook using descriptive quantitative method. This study aimed to find out the proportion of language skills in English textbook grade XI published by Kemendikbud 2014, and to find out the suitability of language skills in English textbook grade XI published by Kemendikbud 2014 and the goal of English subject's syllabus for Senior High School. The object of this research was English textbook for grade XI (Senior High School) published by Kemendikbud 2014 (1st and 2nd semester). The instrument used was evaluation checklist to collect the data about the proportion of language skills. The result showed that the textbook focuses more on writing skills (35%), grammar (32%), speaking (25%), reading (7%), and listening had the lowest proportion of (1%). The result of the evaluation showed that this textbook represent the writing skill that integrated with other skills. This textbook has the appropriate proportion on  two  skills (writing and speaking) however, it has inappropriate proportion on other two skills (listening and reading).

Abstract

This study investigates the interaction pattern in SMAN 1 Curup Kota, based on Coulthard theory (2002). This study analyzed the interaction pattern and type of act used by teacher and students to see the ideal pattern in the classroom. The data analysis shows that (a) the dominant pattern used in the classroom is complete pattern (IRF) and there are also semi-complete pattern (IR) and incomplete pattern (IF); (b) In the type of acts section, the elicitation is the highest followed by informative and starter in the initiation move,  reply as the highest act in the response move, and in the follow up accept as the highest followed by comment. It can be concluded that interaction pattern in the classroom is dominantly occured is ideal pattern but it’s not good interaction pattern because delimit student opportunity in the classroom

Abstract

Abstract PMM (Platform Merdeka Mengajar) has played an important role in transforming the educational practices across Indonesia. It has innovative approach and digital platform that have significantly impacted teaching methodologies and student learning experiences, helping in a new era of online and interactive education. The objective of this study was to explore teachers' perceptions of the effectiveness offered by PMM in SD Negeri 82 Kota Bengkulu. This research was descriptive quantitative. The instrument used in this research was questionnaire. The questionnaires were distributed to 35 teachers at SD Negeri 82 Kota Bengkulu. The results showed that most teachers at SD Negeri 82 Kota Bengkulu perceive PMM as aligned with the current curriculum, indicating a positive perception of its relevance to educational standards. The teachers acknowledge significant learning benefits associated with PMM, such as improved student engagement, better comprehension of topics, and enhanced academic performance. While some teachers express satisfaction with the support received from the school and government regarding PMM, others highlight the need for additional resources and training opportunities. However, the aspect of parental involvement received a negative response, highlighting areas for improvement in encouraging collaborative partnerships, parental education, and communication channels.
