Abstract

The habitable home construction activity is the North Aceh Regency Government program dedicated to the Dhuafa people. The implementation of the project is submitted to the contractor as responsible for completing the construction of a habitable home. Each planned project must have an implementation plan, when the start and end of the project, on-site technical and resource provision is essential to avoid the risk of obstacles in the implementation of the project. Problems that arise in the field are very risky and should be avoided so that the project being done can run smoothly. The purpose of this research is to identify the factors of inhibition in the implementation of habitable home project for the Dhuafa as well as to analyze a good strategy in minimizing the inhibition. The research method used is mix methode between qualitative and quantitative method. The number of executors of Dhuafa house construction in 2016 is 64 companies. The number of respondents obtained from the slovin formula of 39 companies. The results of the research explain that the factors causing the occurrence of obstacles during the execution of work is the labor factor with the value of frequency index (FI) of 0,84; design and planning factors with an FI value of 0,81; factor of equipment with value of FI 0,77; factors beyond the contractor's ability with a FI value of 0,75; material factor with value of FI 0,55; field condition factor with FI value of 0,46; and implementation factor and working relationship with FI value of 0,40. The ways that can be done to avoid the occurrence of barriers in terms of labor is to improve the quality of labor, increase the workforce who are competent in their fields, and work in accordance with the procedure. In terms of design and planning is to do a design review of the project.

Abstract

here was an urgent need to accelerate the project duration in project MYC WIL.I-2C, however, inconsistent policy towards the predefined specification was taken by using 10% Buton Natural Asphalt Rubber (BNA-R), whereas the specification should be 20% BNA-R. The objective of this research is to compare the strength performance between BNA-R 1 10% and BNA-R 1 20%, compared to BNA-R1 0% (pen.60/70). The lab analysis was done in Jalan Raya Laboratory, Faculty of Engineering, Syiah Kuala University, Banda Aceh. The method that were used are Marshall method and durability at optimum asphalt content by using wet method. The results showed that stability value of BNA-R without substitutes was 1164 kg, BNA-R 10% was 1440 kg, and the highest was found in BNA-R 20% i.e. 1462 kg.  Durability value without substitutes was 105.17%, whereas, durability of BNA CR 1 10% was 101.14% and BNA CR 1 20% was 100.81%.  All Marshall parameters in BNA-R with and without substitutes, including stability, flow, MQ, density, VIM, VMA and VFA were still fulfill the specification set by the Directorate General of Highways (Bina Marga) rev 3 in  2014 and interim 3 rev 2 in 2015.

Abstract

The earthquake-resistant building is a concept in construction technology that is in line with technology evolution. The idea of this earthquake-resistant concept is to reduce the seismic force that might work to the building structure instead of strengthening the structure itself. The structural component for reducing the earthquake force is called as a base isolator or seismic isolation. During seismic loading, this component is expected to accept and minimize the earthquake forces at a certain level without any significant damage to structure. This research is conducted to evaluate the response of the structure with base isolator. Then, the influence of base isolator on building structure is justified. Two (2) different types of structures, fixed base and base- isolated structure with a variety of post-yield stiffness (K2), were developed. The used type of base isolator is Lead Rubber Bearing (LRB). The analysis is conducted in accordance with pushover analysis method using SAP2000 v.19 program. The result suggested that the building structure with base isolator extends the natural period of the structure up to 1,380 times. The interstory drift of the base-isolated structure is smaller than the fixed base structure. The use of base isolator reduces the top displacement to an average of 21.93% for x- and 18.506% for y-direction. The overall structure performance evaluation of fixed base and base-isolated structures is at Damage Control level.

Abstract

The earthquake on December 7, 2016 measuring 6.4 on the Richter Scale (SR), which hit the districts of Pidie, Pidie Jaya and Bireuen, has caused fatalities, damage to infrastructure and public facilities. In an effort to accelerate post-disaster rehabilitation and reconstruction, based on INPRES No. 5 of 2017, Aceh Provincial Building and Environmental Management Work Unit of the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing, carried out the rebuilding of permanent schools using RISHA construction technology with a system of design and build contracts in Pidie Jaya District and Bireuen. This study aims to analyze the relationship and influence of design and build risk factors on the success of permanent school construction projects in Pidie Jaya and Bireuen Districts. This study uses qualitative and quantitative methods. Respondents were directed at 13 planning personnel, 25 implementing personnel, 21 construction management personnel and 13 owner staff. The independent variables in this study are the risk factors of design and build which consist of the owner management ability factor, procurement process, planning ability, implementation ability, project manager's ability, and project scope factors, while the dependent variable is the success of the project. The results of the study show that there is a low level of relationship between the factors of the project manager's ability, a sufficient level of relationships from the factors of implementation ability, procurement processes and project scope factors, a high level of relationship between planning ability factors and management owner's ability factors to project success. All design and build risk factors have a significant effect on project success, which is 68.8%. The dominant factor affecting project success is the project scope factor, with a regression coefficient of 0.162. In this case if the project scope factor is handled properly by all parties involved, then the success of the project will increase by 16.2%.

Abstract

The Bayu Village is one of the villages located in Darul Imarah Sub-district, Aceh Besar District, the Aceh Province. The abundance of vacant land in Bayu Village, prompting the desire of investors to be converted into the development of a housing residential. Based on the observation, public facilities in Beutari Permai residential are still inadequate, such as mosque, Green Open Space (GOS), and garbage station. Limited public facilities provided by developers could lead to lack of satisfaction from home buyers (users). This study aims to analyze the relationship and influence between the availability of public facilities to the satisfaction of residents of Beutari Permai residential. Further, analyzing the effect of the availability of public facilities on the satisfaction of the residents of Beutari Permai residential is performed. This research uses qualitative method through observation and interview, and quantitative method through questionnaires survey data. Target respondents in this study are residents of housing consist of 51 respondents. Statistical methods used in data processing are validity and reliability test. While data analysis consists of descriptive statistics, simple correlation, and multiple linear regression. The statistical analyses performed by using Statistical Product and Service Solution (SPSS)  software. The results show that drainage and road facilities have a very high relationship, drinking water facilities have a sufficient relationship, sanitation facilities have a low relationship, while the electricity network facilities have a very low relationship to the satisfaction of the residents of Beutari Permai residential. The availability of public facilities consisting of roads, sanitation, drainage, drinking water and electricity networks have a positive effect on the satisfaction of residents of the Beutari Permai residential. The availability of public facilities consisting of road facilities, sanitation, drainage, drinking water, and electricity network simultaneously has contributed 82.4% to the satisfaction of residents of the Beutari Permai residential.

Abstract

Fire hazard is one of the risks that must be considered in the building safety management. This study aims to determine the condition of fire risk in the Engineering Faculty Building, Syiah Kuala University Banda Aceh. The analysis used in this research is Hazard identification, Risk Assessment and Risk Control and descriptive analysis. Data were collected using questionnaire survey, interview, and observation. The purposive sampling method is used to determine the number of samples. A total of 238 samples were collected with target respondents are lecturers, employees, and students at the Faculty of Engineering, Syiah Kuala University. Observations were conducted at the Engineering Building of A1, A2, and A3. Further, we conducted a direct interview with an expert of the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS). The result from the analysis the value of firefighting unit counted on an average 688.7. It can be concluded that the condition of fire protection system preparedness in the building of Faculty of Engineering, Syiah Kuala University in bad condition. Furthermore, the result of the assessment of fire risk in administrative room, supporting room, lecture room, and library room obtained shows is a low risk, while as for the laboratory room categorize a high risk. Fire risk controls are needed as the most effective in implementing Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) management systems, including establishing OHS fire management institutions and fire safety coordinator of a faculty composed in fire prevention procedures.
