Abstract

Pada masa pandemi saat ini, seluruh proses pembelajaran dilakukan secara daring atau dilakukan di rumah. Tenaga pendidik dituntut untuk berfikir kreatif dan inovatif dengan harapan proses pembelajaran dapat berjalan lancar dan para peserta didik dapat bersemangat serta memahami pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui media apakah yang dapat digunakan untuk dapat membantu peserta didik dalam mata pelajaran IPS Sekolah Dasar yang valid dan praktis. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian pengembangan (research and development) dalam tahap awal yakni analisis kebutuhan. Subjek penelitian adalah guru dan sebanyak 102 siswa kelas IV Sekolah Dasar di Sekolah Dasar Negeri Kenari 01 Pagi. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara oleh guru dan pengisian kuesioner oleh siswa. Dari hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa siswa membutuhkan media pembelajaran yang dapat memandu mereka memahami materi sejarah karena bahasanya yang sulit dipahami, dapat digunakan untuk mengulang pelajaran tersebut di rumah dalam bentuk video animasi dan juga dapat menumbuhkan atau menanamkan pendidikan karakter pada diri peserta didik.

Abstract

This article has aimed to investigate the scientific literacy achievement of fourth-grade elementary school students. The research used a qualitative method with data collection techniques in interviews and open questions. This study involved a fourth-grade teacher and fourth-graduate students. Based on the existing theoretical framework, an assessment tool was developed, which measurement's ability to: a) recognize scientific concepts (nominal literacy);  b) define some key concepts (functional literacy);  c) use their understanding of scientific concepts to explain phenomena (conceptual literacy);  and d) use their knowledge Science to read a short article (multidimensional literacy). The study results found that the nominal literacy assessment showed the students' knowledge of Science was still limited. Functional literacy assessment can be seen students' interest in Science which is still minimal. Conceptual literacy assessment results in students' understanding of everyday scientific phenomena are still lacking, with multidimensional literacy can be assessed students' understanding of paragraph reading is still limited.

Abstract

Penelitian ini memakai metode penelitian kualitatif yang bersifat deskriptif, Teknik Pengumpulan data adalah observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Sedangkan instrumen pengumpulkan data menggunakan angket yang telah dilakukan pengujian validitas dan reliabel berdasarkan hasil perhitungan uji coba instrumen. Subjek penelitian merupakan siswa pada kelas V sebanyak 32 siswa dan guru sejumlah 16 orang, di Sekolah Dasar Negeri Palurahan 2 Kabupaten Pandeglang. Ditemukan bahwa pemahaman guru tentang pembelajaran terdiperensiasi sebesar 19% guru sudah sangat paham, sebesar 25% guru memahami, sebesar 19% cukup paham, dan sebesar 38% guru tidak paham tentan pembelajaran terdiferensiasi. Dan data yang diperoleh terhadap pemahaman siswa melalui pembelajaran terdiferensiasi ditemukan 63% siswa sebesar menyatakan mudah paham pada materi yang diberikan guru, sebanyak sebesar 25% menyatakan cukup paham, sedangkan sebesar 13% menyatakan tidak paham terhadap materi yang diberikan oleh guru dengan mengunakan pembelajaran terdiferensiasi yang disesuaikan gaya belajar pada siswa. Sedangkan gaya belajar siswa diperoleh data gaya belajar aoditori sebesar 31% siswa, dengan visual sebesar 44% siswa, dan sebesar 25% siswa memiliki gaya kinestetik dalam belajar.

Abstract

Education is one of the instruments of change and national civilization, especially related to human values and mental attitudes. The teacher is an activator, motivator and evaluator of education so that its existence must always be in a quality position. For that reason, it is necessary to conduct sustainable professionalism development as a form of optimizing the teachers’ role and function of in school or madrasah as formal institutions. By this ideal fuction, the authors see the spirit of optimism by educational world to encourage the formation of a fully prosperous civil society. This research investigated how the policy of the Regional Office of the Ministry of Religion of Banten Province in improving the professionalism of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah teachers. This research used a qualitative method by documentary studies based on reports on activities carried out by the Madrasah Education Division in 2018 and in depth-interviews to the Heads of Madrasah Education Division and the Section Heads of Madrasah Education Division. Based on the results of data analysis, this study concluded that the Regional Office of the Ministry of Religion of Banten Province has held three valuable programs related to enhance the teachers’ professionalism. They were strengthening the competence of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah teachers through various program and pedagogical activities, increasing managerial competence by several trainings and increasing teachers’ welfare through providing financial incentive, and conducting scientific competitions.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the process of applying the problem-based learning model to improve problem-solving skills in social studies learning about problems that occur in the environment around fifth grade elementary school students. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method. This research was conducted at SDN Kampung Bulak 03, Pamulang District, South Tangerang City. The subjects in this study were all students of class V B at SDN Kampung Bulak 03 with a total of 27 students. With a total of 12 male students and 15 female students. Data collection techniques used in this study were interviews, observation, and documentation. The results showed that the problem-based learning model could improve problem-solving skills in social studies learning for fifth grade elementary school students. And the teacher succeeded in applying the problem-based learning model according to the syntax or learning steps. This can be seen from the enthusiasm and activeness of students in solving problems in learning activities.
