Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the Critical Success Factor of e-procurement implementation, that is able to show the influence factors of successful implementation of e-procurement in companies. This study uses benchmarking method to examine the non-random selected samples from some companies which are advanced in implementing e-procurement including the contextual analysis of issues related to similar situations. From the findings then performed the identification and benchmarking study, mapping towards the successful practice at the companies. Eventually it is concluded that there is no best standard for e-procurement as the factors most affecting successful implementation are non-technical, of which this understanding will be the first step to systematically analyze the supporting factors in implementing e-procurement successfully. Therefore, e-procurement does not only improve the operational performance of the company in efficiency improvement of enterprise's supply chain management process but also provide added value for the company.

Abstract

Department of Information System Development at PT XYZ becomes a trigger in the movement of the Information Technology Development of the company.  However it is not merely the fastest, the biggest or the most completed project that determine the success, but the most important is to align with the business strategy due to achieve the company’s goal and objective. Recognizing the performance does not only need a measurement system but also right measurements. The purpose of the study is to design an effective Key Performance Indicator in Departement of Information System Development that is aligned with current indicators to measure the success of company’s strategy execution. The choosen indicators are cascaded from company’s strategy map and information technology strategy map. The design uses balanced scorecard method according to data and information collected from executive interview, focus group discussion and workshop with the key persons in IT organization. Balanced scorecard method provides the integration of financial and non-fianncial factor for measurements. It allows different level formulation with same performance indicator flexibly. Recently, Department of Information System Development can monitor and develop its performance directionally.

Abstract

The purposeof this study is to analyze, evaluate and recommend infrastructure of information technology that addresses its flexibility to run along the continouing development of the company, to avoid the potential risk that may come which is more costly for the company due to failure in dealing with those changes.To obtain more accurate data and information, this study uses observation and interview technique with the top management and key person from Information Technology Department. It can be concluded that strengthening the information technology infrastructure is able to strengthen business processes that built upon it, and enhance more value to the company.

Abstract

One of alternative ways in Islamic financing is by using pawnshop, it is did not need for any difficult requirement even with the process. That is why an institution of Islamic pawnshop has social functions (besides it indicates of business function) towards society benefits as ta’awun (helpful) concept in Islam. But we still need for a review study related with the all transactions and practicalities in the Islamic pawnshop. Practically and operationally, an Islamic pawnshop is more taking part in economic aspect and profits oriented. Only a few of them would be orient in social aspect. The most basic ideology of a pawnshop (rahn) is for tabarru’ (goodness) and not for tijarah (trade).

Abstract

Mu’amalah objects in Islamic terminology is very broad, so Koran and sunnah explain more on muamalah issues in global and universal language that demand active interpretation of Moslem. This fact is actually an indication that Islam provides an opportunity for people to do their own innovation and new creations to do mu’amalah activity in accordance with the importance of their needs as long as the form of muamalah are not againts the basic foundations of Islamic teachings. One of the many practices of mu’amalah done by today’s modern society is what is known as an employment system or employment contract, or in terms of the classical fiqh it is called al­Ijarah. For the clearer goal of this discussion it is necessary to determine the thinking framework about the concept of Ijarah and its foundation used. Study on this article found that Islam sets regulation on the employment relationships traffic arrangements for the employment relationship in mutual way: what becomes the right for one side and vice versa. This reciprocal relationship is manifested in the form of employment agreement. The aspects that must exist in the employment agreement or contract between the employee and employer are working conditions, working hours, and wages determination. While employee’ rights are the right to receive decent wage, the right to get the job according to ability, the right for health services, and the right for legal protection.

Abstract

One aspect that gets serious attention in the study of classical fiqh siayasat, is the importance of the principle of morality in political theory and practice of Muslims as the caliph of God on earth. Indeed aspect should be inherent moraliatas is paraktek theory of government and state and every country in the world with no notice if the country contains shades of secular government or based on a particular religion. Also by not see whether the state uses the term for the head of state with the term messages caliph, sultan, Malik, kings, and presidents). Urgency value of morality, because they lie in the intrinsic value of human beings depraved. As a framework for implementing a practical rule, almost all literature moral paradigm provides a view of "the nature of government before recognition", that God has chosen party of human groups as a ruler.

Abstract

Islam as a theory (religion) is an integral and totality. Islam have an economic system that is fundamentally different from the conventional economic system. It has its roots in the shari’a that shape the world view (world view) as well as strategic objectives (maqasid al-shari’a) which different from the secular system. Islamic theory construct it concept with mainstream of happiness (falah) and the good life (hayaatan tayyibah) which really emphasize brotherhood (ukhuwah) and the values of humanism, justice, socio-economic, and fulfillment of spiritual human needs. For that in problems of economics, Islam build principles: Tawhid, khilafah, terms of reference and framework, universal brotherhood, the resource is a responsibility from Allah, human happiness, brotherhood, and justice. With those principles that built would be able to construct a happy prosperous life in the world and the hereafter.

Abstract

Along with the dynamic changes in business environment, information technology strategy map becomes an effective and flexible mechanism to visualize critical strategic actions required for the company and information technology (IT) organization to achieve its objectives. On the other hand, IT is perceived as a center of cost and investment. Therefore, IT benefit values become very important to measure and communicate. Using Balanced Scorecard method, this study aims to design IT strategy map aligned with the corporate strategy and effective measurement of IT performance in its contribution to achieve corporate objectives. The method is designed based on the results of data and information analysis gathered from executive interviews, focus group discussions and workshops at the company. Balanced Scorecard is a comprehensive and effective tools to measure, monitor and evaluate the performance of IT critical success factors (CSFs) to support the corporate objectives.

Abstract

Transactional data are widely owned by higher education institutes, but the utilization of the data to support decision making has not functioned maximally. Therefore, higher education institutes need analysis tools to maximize decision making processes. Based on the issue, then data warehouse design was created to: (1) store large-amount data; (2) potentially gain new perspectives of distributed data; (3) provide reports and answers to users? ad hoc questions; (4) perform data analysis of external conditions and transactional data from the marketing activities of universities, since marketing is one supporting field as well as the cutting edge of higher education institutes. The methods used to design and implement data warehouse are analysis of records related to the marketing activities of higher education institutes and data warehouse design. This study results in a data warehouse design and its implementation to analyze the external data and transactional data from the marketing activities of universities to support decision making.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze and design the application of e-service portal to help Marketing BINUS university to improve the speed and ease of service for Prospect students with the integration of transaction and information services required prospective students, and can be presented in a personalized to adds its own interesting experience for user. It would create a competitive advantage of the University which also potentially triggering an increase in the number of intake students. The methodology used is the method of analysis, which reviews and interviews conducted directly to the field, distributing questionnaires, observing and analyzing the data and needs, and using the design method, which includes design of business models, user interface design and database design. Results to be achieved is a web portal, where the system can facilitate prospective students to obtain the desired information services in full, and with a presentation that can be personalized and make transactions easier and faster. Conclusions obtained are BINUS University can take advantage of e-service in a web portal for prospective new students as supporting its competitive advantage in the utilization of information technology and support one of its primary missions to create service excellence in all fields.
