Abstract

Base in the observation on XI IPA 1 grade students of senior high school Bukit Kemuning  known that XI IPA 1 class  in even semester academic year 2011/2012 shows the average value mastery of the material of the human movement system is still lo, seen the average of student scores that 60,83 well below from the mastery learning that 65,0.  The purpose of this research was to determine the effect of the use of teaching materials leaflet with teaching models TPS towards the activity and student lerning outcomes in the subject matter of the movement system.  This research is quasi experimental with one group pretest-posttest design. A sample of this reaserch is XI IPA 1 grade students of senior high school Bukit Kemuning. The data of this study was obtained from the test (pretest and posttest) and the observation sheet (students learning activities). data analysis using a t-test with the program SPSS17.The results showed that an increased in the average between the pretest (71,73) and posttest(71,73).  The average student activity at the third metting increased by 5,88%.  Also based on the data questionnaire leaflet interest of teaching materials, all students stated instructional material leaflet in interesting (96,32%). Thus, learning to use instructional materials leaflet is effect on activity and learning outcomes of XI IPA 1 grade students of senior high school Bukit Kemuning the subject matter of the human movement system.Keywords: Leaflet, Teaching materials, TPS, Learning activities, Larning outcomes, Movement system

Abstract

 In Biology learning especially in memorized material found a symptom of decreasing student’s activity and achievement. An alternative that can be used to increase student’s learning activity and achievement is using mind map technique. This research aims to know influence using mind map technique towards student’s learning activity and achievement. The design was pretest posttest group non equivalent. Sample are students from X6 and X7 which selected by cluster random purposive sampling. Quantitative data from the average of pretest and posttest scores which analyzed with Mann-Whitney U test and t-test. Qualitative data are student’s learning activity and responses about using the mind map technique which descriptively analyzed. Result of this study shown that the mind map technique can increase the student’s learning activity. Using it had not significant effect on student’s achievement. Almost of students also give positive responses to use mind map technique. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh teknik mencatat Mind Map terhadap aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa. Desain penelitian ini pretes postes kelompok tak ekuivalen. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas X6 dan X7 yang dipilih secara purposive sampling. Data penelitian berupa data kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Data kuantitatif diperoleh dari rata-rata nilai pretes dan postes yang dianalisis menggunakan uji Mann-Whitney U dan uji-t. Data kualitatif berupa data aktivitas belajar dan angket tanggapan siswa terhadap penggunaan teknik mencatat Mind Map yang dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan teknik mencatat Mind Map meningkatkan aktivitas belajar siswa. Penggunaan teknik mencatat Mind Map tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap hasil belajar siswa. Dengan demikian, pembelajaran menggunakan teknik mencatat Mind Map dapat meningkatkan aktivitas belajar siswa dan tidak berpengaruh signifikan dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada materi pokok Protista. Kata kunci: aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa, protista, teknik mencatat Mind Map.

Abstract

This study aims to compare the knowledge of the interaction between living things with their environment and environmental concern. Sampling used purpose sampling. The research design was ex post facto. The results of the t-test showed that the students' knowledge and environmental concern in the school area of the TNWK are higher than the schools in the city. The results of a simple linear regression test showed that there was a relationship between the knowledge of interaction between living things and their environment and environmental concern of students in the school area of the TNWK and schools in the city. The conclusion of this study was there was a difference between the knowledge of interaction between living things and their environment and the attitude of caring for the students in the school of the TNWK area and in the City. Penelitian ini bertujuan membandingkan pengetahuan tentang interaksi antara makhluk hidup dengan lingkungannya dan sikap peduli lingkungan peserta didik. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan purpose sampling. Desain penelitian adalah ex post facto. Hasil uji t menunjukkan pengetahuan dan sikap peduli lingkungan peserta didik di sekolah area kawasan TNWK lebih tinggi dibanding sekolah di kota. Hasil uji regresi linier sederhana menunjukkan terdapat hubungan antara pengetahuan interaksi makhluk hidup dengan lingkungannya dan sikap peduli lingkungan peserta didik di sekolah area kawasan TNWK maupun sekolah di Kota. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah terdapat perbedaan antara pengetahuan interaksi makhluk hidup dengan lingkungannya dan sikap peduli lingkungan peserta didik di sekolah area kawasan TNWK dan di Kota. Kata kunci : perbandingan, pengetahuan, sikap peduli lingkungan

Abstract

Based on observation with biology teacher in SMP N 1 Merbau Mataram, students learning activities and outcomes were not optimally developed yet. An alternative that can be used to improve learning activities and outcomes is using picture and picture models. This experiment aims to find out the influence of models Picture and Picture towards improvement of students learning activities and outcomes. This study is quasi experiment using pretest posttest group non equivalent design. Sample are students from VIII A and VIII B which obtained by cluster random sampling method. Quantitative data is outcomes that obtained from average of pretest and posttest scores which statistically analyzed with U-test. Qualitative data are student’s learning activities and students responses about applicating model Picture and Picture which descriptively analyzed. Result of this study shown that the average of students outcomes in experimental class are higher than control (experiment= 69,48; control = 45,17). The average of student learning activities percentage in all observed aspects in experimental class shown higher enhancement than control (experiment = 90.8; control = 60.25). The students also gives positive responses to applicating model Picture and Picture.Keywords: human’s growth and development, learning activities and result, picture and picture models.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the students' mastery of concepts and activities in learning through two stay two stray (TSTS) model and Gallery Walk (GW) in the subject matter respiratory system. Samples were students of class XI IPA1 and XI IPA5 randomly selected by cluster random sampling technique. The quantitative data obtained from the average value of pretest and posttest were statistically analyzed using u-test. The result of this research proves the activities in express their arguement, asking, team work, share the information and persentation get improves by N-gain score in GW class 55.56 where as in TSTS class 39,47. Because of that using a model of learning GW gave significant influance in increasing mastery of concepts and student learning activity.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui Penguasaan Konsep dan aktivitas siswa dalam pembelajaran melalui model Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS) dan Gallery Walk (GW)  pada materi pokok sistem pernapasan. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas XI IPA1 dan XI IPA5 yang dipilih secara acak dengan teknik cluster random sampling. Data kuantitatif diperoleh dari rata-rata nilai pretes dan postes yang dianalisis secara statistik menggunakan uji-u. Data kualitatif berupa data aktivitas belajar siswa selama proses pembelajaran. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aktivitas mengemukakan pendapat, bertanya, bekerjasama, bertukar informasi dan persentasi mengalami peningkatan dengan skor N-gain pada kelas GW 55,56 sedangkan pada kelas TSTS 39,47. Dengan demikian penggunaan model pembelajaran GW berpengaruh signifikan dalam meningkatkan penguasaan konsep dan aktivitas belajar siswaKata kunci: aktivitas siswa, gallery walk, penguasaan konsep, sistem pernapasan, two stay two stray

Abstract

This research aimed to know the effect of Predict Observe Explain (POE) towards students learning activities and conceptual understanding. Samples were VIIA and VIIC that was choosen by purposive sampling. Research design was pretest-postest non equivalent group. The quantitative data were student conceptual understanding from pretest, postest score and N-gain which were analyzed using t-test and U-test. The qualitative data were students learning activities data and questionnaire responses that were analyzed descriptively. The result showed that the students learning activities increased in every aspect which was 70,83. POE learning model can improve students conceptual understanding with N-gain average 73,05. Improvement of students conceptual understanding was significant on C4 indicator cognitif. But, it was not significant on C2 and C3 indicator cognitif.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan model pembelajaran Predict Observe Explain (POE) terhadap aktivitas belajar dan pemahaman konsep siswa. Data kuantitatif diperoleh dari rata-rata nilai tes yang dianalisis menggunakan uji-t dan uji-U.Data kualitatif berupa data aktivitas siswa dan angket tanggapan siswa yang dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aktivitas belajar siswa meningkat di setiap aspek dengan rata-rata 70,83. Penggunaan model pembelajaran POE dapat meningkatkan pemahaman konsep oleh siswa dengan rata-rata N-gain sebesar 73,05. Peningkatan pemahaman konsep oleh siswa secara signifikan terjadi pada indikator aspek kognitif C4. Abstract

This study aimed to determine the significance of the effect of Argument-Driven Inquiry learning models, academic ability, and the interaction of learning models with academic ability on learning the structure and function of plants on students' critical thinking skills. The research sample was students of class VIII.1 and VIII.2 taken by cluster random sampling technique. This research was quasi-experiment with Pretest Postes Non-Equivalent Control Group Design. The instrument used in this research was test of critical thinking skills. Data analysis with Ancova and BNT tests respectively at 5% significance level. The results showed that the ADI learning model, academic ability, and interaction between the learning model and academic ability had a significant effect on students' critical thinking skills with their respective significance values that were 0,000; 0,021; 0,014.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui signifikansi pengaruh model pembelajaran Argument Driven Inquiry (ADI), kemampuan akademik,  dan interaksi model pembelajaran dengan kemampuan akademik pada pembelajaran struktur dan fungsi tumbuhan terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIII.1 dan VIII.2 yang diambil dengan teknik cluster random sampling Penelitian ini merupakan kuasi eksperimen dengan Pretest Postes Non Equivalent Control Group Design.  Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah tes keterampilan berpikir kritis. Analisis data dengan uji Ancova dan BNT masing-masing pada taraf nyata 5 %. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran ADI, kemampuan akademik, dan interaksi antara model pembelajaran dan kemampuan akademik berpengaruh signifikan terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa dengan nilai signifikansi masing-masing adalah 0,000; 0,021; 0,014.Kata kunci: Argument Driven Inquiry (ADI), keterampilan berpikir kritis, kemampuan akademik

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of guided inquiry learning models aided with learning journal on activities and cognitive learning outcomes students of class X SMAN 2 Tulang Bawang Tengah in "Ecosystem" materials. The study samples were 64 students of class X that were selected bytotal sampling technique. The research instrument used pretest-posttest question and observation sheet of student learning activities. The design used was nonequivalent pretest-posttest control group design. Data onactivities were analyzed descriptively, while pretest-posttest and n-Gain values were analyzed by Independent Sample t-test. The results of the study showed that the average percentage activity was 76.2 with good criteria with N-Gain average that was 0.59 with medium criteria. Thus the application of the guided inquiry learning model aided with learning journal has a significant effect on the activities and cognitive learning outcomes of students in "Ecosystem” materials. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh model inkuiri terbimbing berbantu jurnal belajar terhadap aktivitas dan hasil belajar kognitif peserta didik kelas X SMA Negeri 2 Tulang Bawang Tengah pada materi“Ekosistem”. Sampel penelitian adalah 64peserta didik kelas X dipilih melalui teknik total sampling. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan soal pretest-posttest dan lembar observasi aktivitas belajar peserta didik. Desain yang digunakan yaitu non-equivalent pretest-posttest control group design. Data aktivitas dianalisis secara deskriptif, sedangkan nilai pretest-posttest dan n-Gain dianalisis dengan uji Independent Sample t-test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan persentase rata-rata aktivitas keseluruhan sebesar 76,2 termasuk kriteria baik dengan rata-rata n-Gain sebesar 0,59 termasuk kriteria sedang. Dengan demikian penerapan model inkuiri terbimbing berbantu jurnal belajar berpengaruh terhadap aktivitas belajar peserta didik dan berpengaruh signifikan terhadap hasil belajar kognitif peserta didik pada materi “Ekosistem”.Kata kunci: aktivitas belajar, ekosistem, hasil belajar kognitif, inkuiri terbimbing, jurnal belajar

Abstract

The results of observation with X grades’ biology teacher of Persada Senior High School Bandar Lampung, there’s note that in the learning process students receive most information from teacher (teacher centered), so the effect forward to student learning activity and material mastery are still not optimal yet. One of the efforts to maximize it are using TGT models learning and  Flash Card media. The study aimed at inflence of TGT models with Flash Card media towards learning students’ activity and material mastery. This study uses design pretest-posttest not equivalent model with X3as experiments’ class (27 students) and X1 as controls’ class (30 students) was elected in cluster random sampling technique. The data of this study was obtained from the pretest and posttest, observation sheet and questionnaire of students respon about this study. Data analyzed using a t-test on the SPSS17 program.The results showed that average percentage of students learning activities in all aspect that observed in experiment class (77,62 %) was higher than control class (62,78 %), with an average N-Gain of material mastery on 65,89 % in experimental and control class on 38,65 %. In addition, 27 students was pleased to learn the matter of virus by using TGT models and Flash Card media. Thus, the used of TGT models and Flash Cards have influation toward students learning activities and material mastery of Virus as significantly.Keywords: TGT, Flash Card, material mastery, student learning activity, Virus.
