Abstract

A laboratory experiment examines the effect of advertisement, advertorial,Jurnal Ekonomi dan Bisnis Indonesia, Vol 22 No.1 Tahun 2007and source of information on the adoption process of functional food. The treatmentlevels in this experiment were company advertisement, public advertisement,company advertorials and public advertorial. One hundred and ninety-nine researchsubjects were selected; those were the ones who served as decision makers in buyingfood for themselves or their families. The result shows that the audio visualadvertisement only increases subjective knowledge whereas printed advertorialincreases both subjective and objective knowledge. Besides, the study alsodemonstrates that advertorial increases both subjective and objective knowledge.However, this study shows that company advertisement can increase the effect ofsubjective knowledge as much as the advertorial. The study does not prove that theindependent institutions increase stronger perceived persuasion effect than thecompany as the source of communication.Keywords: advertisement, advertorial, adoption process, functional food.

Abstract

The aims of this research is to identify the effect of domestic and foreign branding towards consumer perceptions and attitudes, also country-of-origin (COO) information towards consumer attitudes. Product stimuli used in this research was processed milk product. This research was held by factorial design and paper and pencil experiments are used as experiment tool. Eighty (80) males and 80 females of Gadjah Mada University students are used as respondent and then classified into four experiment groups which were domestic branding-domestic COO, domestic branding-foreign COO, foreign branding-domestic COO and Foreign brandingforeign COO. The analysis method employed in the study was independent sample ttestdan regression analysis. The results indicated that effect of foreign branding, which was English branding, showed its positive effect better on consumer perceptions and attitudes of processed milk product. Consumer perception showed that foreign branded processed milk product had higher quality than domestic branded processed product. Positive attitudes consumer toward foreign branded processed milk product was higher than domestic branded processed milk product.Foreign COO showed higher positive consumer attitudes than domestic COO.Gender factor did not show its effect on consumer attitudes toward processed milk product’s brand. This research also showed that effect of foreign branding was higher than COO information on product evaluation.Keywords: Brand, country-of-Origin, perception, attitudes.

Abstract

This study aims to measure the influence of transformational  leadership style on performance,  organizational citizenship behavior, and subordinates attitude toward the leader. The research design used in  this study is survey. Respondents of this research were 140 subordinates that worked in three companies in livestock industry that has international and national market share. Random sampling was use to determine the respondents based on employee list. Data was analyzed by  simple linear regression analysis and multiple linear regression analysis. The results of the analysis show that there is an increase explanation capability aplication of transformational  leadership addition on transactional leadership to performance, organizational citizenship behavior, subordinates attitude towards the each leader were 2,3%, 8,3%, and 70,4% respectively.  The results of this research lead to the conclusion that transformasional leadership addition gave stronger explanation of transactional leadership capability to predict  performance, organizational citizenship behavior, and subordinates attitude towards the leader. As many as 17.1% variability of performance could be explained by addition transformational leadership on transactional leadership, while it was 12,3% dan 72,4% on variability of organizational citizenship behavior and attitude of subordinates respectively.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to identify the personal ity effect on job performance of high educational level staff in companies of livestock industry. Survey design was used in this study. Thirty respondents were selected by using purposive sampl ing method; those were the ones who worked in companies of l ivestock industry, had at least diploma degree and had working experience 3-15 years. Data was col lected by individual interviews. Jackson Personal ity Index was used to measure personal ity variable and Workplace Behavior Questionnaire for perceptual measurement of job performance. Data was analyzed by using regression analysis. The result shows that regression coefficient was 0,64, R2 33,40% and significance level was 0,014. This result indicates that personal ity affect positively and significantly in order to develop job performance. Therefore, personality aspect should be included in recruitment process of high educational level staff.Keywords : personality, job performance, livestock, poultry industry

Abstract

EnglishThe broiler chicken industry has become an agribusiness industry that has supply chain components from upstream to downstream. However, in its implementation, several obstacles were found, such as price fluctuations and the availability of inputs and outputs. This study aimed to identify the government policy implementation strategy in managing the supply chain of the broiler chicken industry. The Analysis Hierarchy Process was used to get the priority issues. The data was obtained by interviewing 25 respondents which were selected purposively consisting of policy makers and business actors in September 2021. Dimensions of criteria hierarchy are prepared based on the Minister of Agriculture Regulation No 32/2017. Dimensions of the alternative strategy hierarchy are based on in-depth interviews with broiler chicken stakeholders. The results showed the priority in the criteria hierarchy was supervision management by 0.4342 and for the alternative strategy hierarchy was a competitiveness support strategy policy of 0.184. The government as the policy maker must ensure that supervision management in the broiler chicken supply chain can be well conducted. Competitiveness policy support strategies in the business of broiler chickens are needed by every business actor to provide added value in every business activity and ready to compete globally.IndonesianIndustri ayam broiler telah menjadi industri agribisnis yang memiliki rantai pasok terpadu dari sektor hulu hingga hilir. Namun, dalam realitas masih ditemukan beberapa masalah seperti fluktuasi harga dan ketersediaan input maupun output. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merumuskan dan mengidentifikasi strategi implementasi intervensi kebijakan pemerintah dalam manajemen rantai pasokan industri ayam broiler. Analysis Hierarchy Process (AHP) digunakan untuk mendapatkan isu-isu prioritas dalam intervensi kebijakan pemerintah dalam industri ayam broiler. Data diperoleh dengan mewawancarai sebanyak 25 orang responden terdiri dari pengambil kebijakan dan pelaku usaha yang dipilih secara purposif pada September 2019. Dimensi hierarki kriteria disusun berdasarkan Peraturan Menteri Pertanian Nomor 32 Tahun 2017. Dimensi hierarki alternatif strategi disusun berdasarkan wawancara mendalam dengan para stakeholder ayam broiler. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa prioritas pada hierarki kriteria adalah manajemen pengawasan sebesar 0,4342 dan untuk hierarki alternatif strategi adalah kebijakan strategi dukungan daya saing sebesar 0,184. Pemerintah selaku pemangku kebijakan harus memastikan bahwa manajemen pengawasan pada rantai pasokan ayam broiler dapat berjalan dengan baik. Strategi kebijakan dukungan daya saing pada usaha ayam broiler sangat dibutuhkan oleh setiap pelaku usaha agar memberikan nilai tambah di setiap aktivitas usahanya agar siap bersaing secara global.

Abstract

Today, pharmacy service has become more developed along with the enhancement of society awareness of the importance of health. Therefore, as one of the health service facilities, pharmacy is required not only to give priority on product prices and varieties but also to provide qualified service for the patients. Viva Generik pharmacy as a new comer should have the ability to understand the situation and should have the competitive advantage. This study used a survey method. Data were collected with a purposive sampling method using the instrument of closed questionnaires. The questionnaires were tested for the validity and the reliability to 40 respondents who were the consumers of Viva Generik pharmacy. Questionnaires were given to 150 respondents, then were analyzed using qualitative descriptive statistics to identify the respondents characteristic. Quantitative analysis was used to identify the quality of the service and to see the correlation between service quality, satisfaction, and customer loyalty of Viva Generik pharmacy. As a result, Viva Generik pharmacys consumers tended to agree that the quality of service given by Viva Generik pharmacy was good. Simultaneously, service quality variables gave a positive impact to the customer satisfaction and the customer loyalty. It was just the tangible dimension that gave the significant impact on the customer satisfaction and customer loyalty. It was also disclosed that the customer satisfaction brought a significant impact on the customer loyalty to Viva Generik pharmacy.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui persepsi UMKM terhadap perancangan website E-commerce E-siatik (ternakitik.com) di Kabupaten Brebes. Data penelitian dibagi menjadi data primer dan data sekunder. Data primer diperoleh dari hasil wawancara dengan 40 responden pemilik UMKM dan data sekunder diperoleh dari literatur yang mendukung bagi penelitian ini. Penelitian dilakukan dengan metode survei dengan pengambilan data menggunakan teknik random sampling. Analisis data menggunakan skala likert dengan bantuan instrumen penelitian berupa kuesioner.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa persepsi masyarakat terhadap perancangan website E-commerce E-Siatik tergolong baik dengan indeks sebesar 73,13%. Penggunaan media e-siatik menjadi harapan baru bagi para pelaku UMKM untuk memperluas jangkauan pemasaran dan menghemat biaya promosi yang harus dikeluarkan. Kata kunci: , e-siatik, persepsi, ternakitik.com, UMKM

Abstract

The aim of this study is to examine the effect that the country of design and the country of manufacture has on the perceived quality of a product, and the role of involvement as a moderating variable. The conceptual framework has been tested using laboratory experiments that included a 2x2x2 between the subject’s factorial designs. Data have been collected using a randomization method to reduce any bias in the group’s variations. This data were analyzed using a one-way and two-way ANOVA. The results indicate that there is no difference between the high and low points of a product’s perceived quality, based on its country of design. Conversely, a favorable country of manufacture results in a higher perceived quality for its products, than for those of a lower scoring country of manufacture. Furthermore, consumers’ involvement, as a moderating variable, limits the strength of the country of design and the perceived quality’s relationship as this relationship is found to be stronger in circumstances where the consumers’ involvement is greater than in the less involved group’s condition. However, consumers’ involvement does not have any role as a moderating variable in the relationship between the country of manufacture and the perceived quality.
