Abstract

Abstract

The development of a metacognition-based e-book using 3D Pageflip on coordination polymerization reaction materials aims to enhance students' polymer chemistry literacy. The Polymer course in the Chemistry Education Study Program covers various polymerization reactions essential for students in today's educational era. Polymers, including plastics, Styrofoam, nylon, and others, are crucial materials in various aspects of life. Due to the abstract nature of this subject, theoretical explanations are challenging for students to understand. A metacognition-based e-book is expected to assist students in self-learning, increasing flexibility in understanding polymerization reaction materials. This study employs the ADDIE development model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation) and produces an e-book containing text, animations, videos, and music. Validation by experts indicates that the e-book is excellent in terms of content and design. Implementation among students shows that this e-book is effective in enhancing the understanding of coordination polymerization reactions. Thus, the e-book is expected to facilitate learning and improve students' polymer chemistry literacy. Keyword:        Science literacy, polymer chemistry, polymerization reaction, coordination polymerization.

Abstract

Teachers of SMA Negeri 2 Muaro Jambi do not understand much about interactive media such as wordwall applications and learning media is still dominated by powerpoint media due to the lack of references in developing alternative media that can motivate students in learning. The purpose of this activity is to train the skills of SMA Negeri 2 Muaro Jambi teachers in implementing wordwall interactive media to create an innovative and creative learning environment. The wordwall interactive media implementation training activities were carried out at SMA Negeri 2 Muaro Jambi on July 17, 2024 which was attended by 32 teachers from all subject areas. The methods used in this training include initial analysis which aims to find out the problems in partner schools, implementation, and evaluation of training activities. Based on the training activities that have been carried out, it shows that teachers are very enthusiastic in developing wordwall media. The results of the questionnaire showed that the improvement of teacher skills obtained the highest score of 4.72.

Abstract

This study sought to ascertain how well students' 4C skills were improved by utilizing gamification-based interactive evaluation materials in conjunction with a flipped classroom and project-based learning approach. Pre-experimental research with a quantitative approach and one sample class was the methodology employed in this study. Students enrolled in the Jambi University Chemistry Education Study Program's course on chemistry learning curriculum creation served as the study's samples. A questionnaire was used to collect data on the 4C competencies of the pupils. The normalcy of the variation in the students' 4C skills outcomes was examined. The data from the sample class is normally distributed and parametric tests can be performed if the significance value is higher than 0.05. In this study, one sample t-test was employed for hypothesis testing. To find out how well gamification-based interactive evaluation materials combined with a flipped classroom and project-based learning approach improve 4C abilities, hypothesis testing was done. The study's conclusion is that students' 4C skills can be effectively improved by implementing gamification-based interactive evaluation materials in conjunction with a flipped classroom and project-based learning approach.

Abstract

This study aimed to investigate how well whimsical applications with a project-based learning approach combined with a flipped classroom can raise student self-efficacy in educational digital psychology courses. This research is an experimental research with two sample groups, namely the experimental class which is given the effectiveness of applying the whimsical application using the project-based learning model integrated with the flipped classroom and the control class by applying project-based learning without using the whimsical application. A questionnaire was utilized in this study's data collection method to get information regarding students' self-efficacy both before and after the project-based learning model integrated flipped classroom was applied with whimsical apps. Hypothesis testing conducted in the study using independent-samples t test. The study's conclusion is that raising student self-efficacy in the educational digital psychology course can be achieved by the wacky use of the project-based learning model linked with the flipped classroom.
