<![CDATA[Literasi media masyarakat nitizen masih tergolong rendah. Sementara, setiap saat masyarakat nitizen diberondong oleh melimpahnya informasi melalui media sosial. Mengingat informasi di media sosial didominasi oleh berita hoax, dipandang sangat perlu literasi media masyarakat ditingkatkan agar mampu menilai dan mengenali kadar kebohongan (hoax) berita atau informasi yang diterimanya setiap saat di media sosial tersebut. Literasi media yang hendak diberikan adalah literasi digital (online), melalui kegiatan penyuluhan. Penyuluhan melalui media online ini juga dipilih karena kondisi pandemi Covid-19 masih mengancam masyarakat. Di samping itu, juga alasan praktis bahwa semua orang akrab dengan handphone android. Literasi media ini memanfatkan humor-humor di media sosial agar minat publik untuk selalu menilai informasi bisa dipertahankan dan kandungan nilai-nilai sosial di dalam humor tersebut bisa ditemukan untuk memperkaya wawasan mereka.]]>

<![CDATA[Arca Dwarapala adalah salah satu situs bersejarah yang dimiliki oleh Desa Minggirsari, Kecamatan Kanigoro, Kabupaten Blitar Kondisi fisik situs arca saat ini tidak terurus dengan baik, padahal arca Dwarapala merupakan situs bersejarah yang memiliki potensi yang baik sebagai objek wisata. Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan revitalisasi situs arrca Dwarapala. Pengabdian ini menghasilkan situs Arca Dwarapala layak dijadikan sebagai objek wisata. Metode yang digunakan yaitu melakukan pemugaran dan perbaikan pada bagian-bagian arca yang diperlukan.]]>

<![CDATA[This research focuses on how a person with mental illness uses defense mechanism which the condition is perfectly seen in Jasper Wishart in the novel The Colour of Bee Larkham’s Murder by Sarah J. Harris. This study aims to find and explain about mental illness that affects the main character’s life and defense mechanism that the character uses. The methods used in this research are library research and psychological approach that are applied to analyse psychological problems of the main character. The result shows that mental issues make Jasper have difficulties throughout his life. Autism and synaesthesia conditions have made him incapable to communicate and to recognize people. He has two ways of defense mechanism: repression and regression, repression by forcefully forgetting his problems, regression by reversing psychological movement.]]>

<![CDATA[This study discusses comparison of defense mechanism phenomena performed by Lilly in S.A Swann's Wolfbreed and Lucy in Lynn Okamoto's Elfen Lied. Purpose of this study is to answer two points: Defense mechanism performed by Lilly and Lucy, and similarities between defense mechanisms used by two characters. This study uses qualitative research because data is taken from quotations in stories. This study uses a psychoanalysis approach, defense mechanism to analyze data. Data sources for this study are novel Wolfbreed by S.A Swann and manga Elfen Lied Omnibus by Lynn Okamoto. This study found that Lilly and Lucy perform a defense mechanism due to tragic events they have experienced. It makes anxiety in their minds which triggers them to perform defense mechanisms. There are similarities between Lilly and Lucy's defense mechanisms. Authors, S.A Swan and Lynn Okamoto show main character's suffering because of differences between them and people around them.]]>

<![CDATA[This study aims to discuss the issue of Existentialism in Coelho’s The Zahir. The objectives of this study are to analyze the existentialism exposed in the novel on the main character of the novel. This study uses descriptive qualitative method using philosophical approach and several theories of existentialism. The result of this study shows that the novel depicts the existentialism in the main character of the novel based on elements, stages of the existentialism and the subjectivity of the truth of main character. The elements are: despair and anxiety. The stages are: the aesthetic, ethical and religious stage. The subjective truth is defined as the way of person meaning a truth. The Concept of Anxiety in Relation with Ethical Stage. Despair is indicated when the character feels hopeless and soulless, anxiety is depicted when the character feels anxious without reason. In addition, the aesthetic stage is portrayed when the character acts selfish and arrogant, the ethical is described when the character becomes aware of the human nature, and the religious stage is shown when the character believes in god. <![CDATA[Great literature is achieved through high imagination which needs big inspiration. Nature can be the power to create such great creation. Most of Melville's works are his works on his wanderings in the sea. Moby Dick is the famous one which tells about American whaling, that was popular in the 1840's. In his novel of Moby Dick, Melville reveals an extraordinary one which are full with emotive words and poetic language. His closeness with nature is reflected on Moby Dick. The sea gives him a power to reach universal idea for human being. As we find many philosophical commentary in this novel which conceives the truth for us. From the description and the explanation in this discussion, I can conclude that nature is the inspiration source in Herman Melville's Moby Dick.]]>

<![CDATA[Defense mechanism is a psychological occurrence in human mind to reduce excessive stress. The study analyses defense mechanism and the exposition of it in the characters of C.N. Adichie’s Americanah. The study is conducted to understand the process of defense mechanism through the related topics. This study uses descriptive qualitative research design to analyze the characters and explain the topics. The study uses psychoanalytical criticism approach which then combined with psychoanalysis and defense mechanism theory to analyze and understand defense mechanism. The researcher uses psychoanalysis and defense mechanism theory to analyze defense mechanism used and the process of it. The exposition of defense mechanism is then made according to the analysis. The study indicates the use of 5 defense mechanism in Ifemelu, which are Repression, Denial, Projection, Displacement, and Sublimation. It also indicates 2 defense mechanism Obinze has used, Displacement and Reaction Formation. This study also indicates that narrative are used to expose defense mechanism.]]>

<![CDATA[This study of The Analysis of Motivation on Howl Jenkins Pendragon and Sophie Hatter in Diana Wynne Jones Howl’s Moving Castle discusses about Sophie Hatter and Howl Jenkins Pendragon’s characters and motivation. The aim of the study is to explain the characters and motivation to keep moving forward even though they have many problems in their life. The researcher uses a psychological approach of Maslow's hierarchy of needs, this is a motivational theory in psychology comprising a five-tier model of human needs, to analyze the motivation of Howl and Sophie. The researcher also applies qualitative descriptive analysis as the method to analyze the characters and motivation of Howl Jenkins Pendragon and Sophie Hatter. From this study, the researcher finds Howl and Sophie characters and their motivation in life. The motivation of Howl Jenkins Pendragon are breaking the curse, finding his true love, taking care of people that he must help, and learning how to be a better version of him. The motivation of Sophie are Finding a way how to be a better version of herself, breaking the curse, taking care of everyone who needs it and helping Howl to face his problem. All of them include the analysis how much their motivation relate to Maslow Hierarchy Theory.]]>
