Abstract

To achieve the learning objectives in the Thematic lesson, an appropriate approach is needed. This research is a quantitative research that gives an overview on thematic learning process by using process approach. The formulation of this research is to see if there is any influence of the implementation of process approach on low-grade thematic learning of elementary school students. The sample of third grade students of SDN Cireunde 01 is 2 class, IIIC class is used as experiment class as much as 32 people and class IIIB as control class as many as 32 people. The research design used is Random Pretest-Posttes with the results of research is there is a significant influence the application of the process approach tehthe thematic teaching of elementary school students class III in SDN Cireunde 01, so it can be concluded that the process approach has a positive effect on student learning outcomesUntuk mencapai tujuan pembelajaran dalam pembelajaran Tematik, diperlukan sebuah pendekatan yang tepat. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif yang memberikan gambaran pada proses pembelajaran tematik dengan menggunakan pendekatan proses. Rumusan penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat apakah terdapat pengaruh penerapan pendekatan proses pada pembelajaran tematik kelas rendah siswa sekolah dasar. Sampel penelitian siswa kelas III SDN Cireunde 01 sebanyak 2 kelas, kelas IIIC dijadikan kelas eksperimen sebanyak 32 orang dan kelas IIIB sebagai kelas kontrol sebanyak 32 orang. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah Random Pretest-Posttes dengan hasil peneltian adalah terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan  penerapan pendekatan proses tehhadap pembelajaran tematik siswa sekolah dasar kelas III di SDN Cireunde 01, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa pendekatan proses berpengaruh positif terhadap hasil belajar siswa.

Abstract

“Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat” is one of the higher education tridharma that must be implemented by higher education functional institutions by involving lecturers both individually and in groups. The purpose of this Community Service activity is as a means of delivering information in the fields of Science, Technology and Arts (IPTEKS), findings from research, creation, development and dissemination of science and technology based on current educational developments. This study aims to identify the level of knowledge and practice in the implementation of higher order skills or Higher Order Thingking Skills (HOTS) to improve mathematical literacy. The quantitative approach uses Pearson's correlation to see the closeness of the relationship between the Higher Order Thingking Skills (HOTS) ability of mathematics literacy

Abstract

The problem of teachers' weakness in using e-learning media to support the learning process is the theme raised in this training. The solution offered from this training is Edmodo e-learning media. The purpose of this training activity was to introduce Edmodo to the e-learning media for teachers in Garut. The research implementation method consists of five stages, namely: introduction, socialization, training, practice, and monitoring. The object of this training activity is alumni teachers from the Garut Indonesian Institute of Education campus. The training was conducted in two sessions, namely: presentation of material and practice. The usefulness of the training in the use of Edmodo e-learning media is evident from the commitment of the training participants about the plan to implement Edmodo's e-learning media in their learning class. The results of the evaluation of the implementation of this training indicate that this training is useful to support the teaching and learning process carried out in schools. The training method can improve the skills of teachers in using Edmodo e-learning media, both as teachers, students, and parents of students. The conclusion of this training is the knowledge in the use of Edmodo e-learning media for teachers so that it is hoped that in the future teachers in Garut will use Edmodo e-learning media in supporting teaching and learning activities

Abstract

ABSTRAKSecara umum tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa SMP melalui pendekatan Metacognitive Instruction. Penelitian ini merupakan studi eksperimen di SMPN 2 Tarogong Kidul Garut dengan desain penelitian Kelompok kontrol Non-Ekivalen pretes-postes. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa yang mendapat pembelajaran dengan pendekatan Metacognitive Instruction lebih baik dari pada kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa yang mendapat pembelajaran dengan menggunakan pembelajaran konvensional. Sikap siswa terhadap pembelajaran dengan pendekatan Metacognitive Instruction positif.ABSTRACTThe general objective of this research is to improve critical thingking mathematically junior high school students through metacognitive Instruction approach. This study is an experimental study in SMPN 2 Tarogong Kidul with research design Non-equivalent control group pretest-postes. The results showed that the ability of mathematical critical thingking of students who received metacognitive Instruction approach to learning with better on critical thingking of students who have mathematical with conventional learning. Students' attitudes toward learning with Metacognitive Instruction approach positive.

Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui kreativitasmahasiswa melalui pembelajaran berbasis multimediaarticulate, menganalisis efektivitas pembelajaran berbasismultimedia articulate dalam meningkatkan kreativitasmahasiswa, mengidentifikasi sikap mahasiswa terhadappembelajaran berbasis multimedia articulate. Digunakanmetode kuantitatif dengan kuasi eksperimen, instrumentberbentuk tes, non tes, dan program pembelajaran berbasismultimedia dengan software articulate, subyek penelitianadalah mahasiswa tingkat dua STKIP Garut. Prosedurpenelitian meliputi tahap: pertama pendahuluan,diidentifikasi program dalam penyusunan program/softwarepembelajaran, kedua pelaksanaa, meliputi tes awal ,treatment, dan ketiga analisis data, pembahasan danpenyimpulan. Kesimpulan penelitian : kreativitas mahasiswayang mendapatkan pembelajaran berbasis multimediaArticulate lebih baik dibandingkan dengan mahasiswa yangmendapatkan pembelajaran dengan pembelajarankonvensional, pembelajaran berbasis multimedia articulateefektif dalam meningkatkan kreativitas mahasiswa dengankriteria sedang, sikap mahasiswa bersifat positif terhadappembelajaran berbasis multimedia articulate.

Abstract

Kemampuan pemecahan masalah sangat penting bagi siswa karena dengan siswa mampu menyelesaikan suatu masalah siswa memperoleh pengalaman, menggunakan pengetahuan dan keterampilan yang sudah dimiliki oleh siswa untuk diterapkan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis ditinjau dari kemandirian belajar siswa pada materi Lingkaran. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Kelurahan Muarasanding Kec. Garut Kota. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan cara purposive sampling.  Sampel penelitian yaitu 4 siswa kelas VIII. Teknik pengumpulan data yaitu tes, observasi, dan wawancara. Data dianalisis dengan tahapan reduksi data, penyajian data, verifikasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa yang memiliki kemandirian belajar baik maka kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematisnya pun akan baik, dan siswa yang memiliki kemandirian belajar rendah maka kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematisnyapun akan rendah. Problem-solving ability is very important for students because with students being able to solve a problem students gain experience, use the knowledge and skills already possessed by students to be applied in everyday life. The purpose of this study was to analyze mathematical problem-solving abilities in terms of student learning independence in the Circle material. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative. This research was conducted in Muarasanding Village, Kec. Garut City. Sampling was done by purposive sampling. The research sample is 4 students of class VIII. Data collection techniques are tests, observations, and interviews. The data were analyzed with the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and verification. The results showed that students who have good learning independence have good mathematical problem-solving abilities, and students who have low learning independence have low mathematical problem-solving abilities.

Abstract

Kemampuan komunikasi matematis akan membuat seseorang bisa menggunakan matematika untuk kepentingan sendiri maupun orang lain sehingga akan meningkatkan sikap positif terhadap matematika. Kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa pada umumya masih rendah, baik secara lisan maupun tulisan. Rendahnya komunikasi matematis terlihat karena siswa sangat jarang mengemukakan ide-ide matematikanya secara lisan dengan bahasa matematika yang tepat. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk memperoleh deskripsi kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa MTs kelas VIII pada materi Penyajian Data. Metode penelitian adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data mencakup observasi, tes, wawancara, instrumen pengumpulan data dan dokumentasi, dengan teknik analisis data menggunakan model analisis  Milles dan Huberman. Subjek penelitian adalah lima orang siswa MTs kelas VIII tahun ajaran 2020/2021. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa subjek penelitian belum menguasai semua indikator kemampuan komunikasi matematis. Hal ini terlihat dari hasil jawaban subjek penelitian yang masih banyak melakukan kesalahan ketika menjawab soal yang diberikan.Mathematical communication skills will enable someone to use mathematics for their own benefit and for others so that it will increase positive attitudes towards mathematics. In general, students' mathematical communication skills are still low, both orally and in writing. The low level of mathematical communication can be seen because students rarely express their mathematical ideas orally with the right mathematical language. The purpose of this study was to obtain a description of the mathematical communication skills of class VIII MTs students on data presentation material. The research method is descriptive qualitative. Data collection techniques include observation, tests, interviews, data collection instruments and documentation, with data analysis techniques using Milles and Huberman analysis models. The research subjects were five MTs grade VIII students for the 2020/2021 academic year. Based on the results of the study showed that the research subjects had not mastered all indicators of mathematical communication skills. This can be seen from the results of the answers of research subjects who still make many mistakes when answering the questions given.

Abstract

Beberapa penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan representasi matematis siswa masih rendah. Tujuan penelitian untuk menganalisis kemampuan representasi matematis siswa SMP pada materi penyajian data. Penelitian dilakukan di Kampung Citalahab Kaler, Desa Bungbulang-Garut. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Metode yang digunakan yaitu metode analisis deskriptif, yang melibatkan 3 siswa sebagai sampel, menggunakan teknik simple random sampling. Instrumen tes kemampuan representasi matematis siswa sebanyak 5 soal berbentuk uraian. Hasil penelitian yaitu (1) Kemampuan representasi matematis pada indikator representasi gambar (pictorial representation)  adalah hampir semua siswa dari ke tiga sampel sudah mampu menyelesaikan suatu masalah dengan menggunakan representasi visual. (2) Kemampuan representasi matematis pada indikator representasi simbol (symbolic representation) adalah hampir semua siswa dari ketiga sampel belum mampu dalam menyelesaikan masalah menggunakan representasi simbol. (3) Kemampuan representasi matematis pada indikator representasi verbal (verbal representation) adalah sebagian siswa sudah mampu menggunakan representasi verbal namun beberapa diantaranya masih belum bisa menyampaikan ide matematisnya dengan bahasa sendiri. Several studies have shown that students' mathematical representation skills are still low. The research objective was to analyze the mathematical representation ability of junior high school students on data presentation material. The research was conducted in Citalahab Kaler Village, Bungbulang-Garut Village. This research uses a qualitative approach. The method used is the descriptive analysis method, which involved 3 students as a sample, using a simple random sampling technique. The test instrument for the students' mathematical representation ability consisted of 5 questions in the form of descriptions. The results of the study are (1) The ability of mathematical representations on the pictorial representation indicator is that almost all students from the three samples have been able to solve a problem using a visual representation. (2) The ability of mathematical representation in the symbolic representation indicator is that almost all students from the three samples have not been able to solve problems using symbolic representations. (3) The ability of mathematical representation on the verbal representation indicator is that some students can use verbal representations, but some of them are still unable to convey their mathematical ideas in their language.

Abstract

Kemampuan koneksi matematis siswarendah. Upaya meningkatkan kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa diantaranya dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran yang menekankan keaktifan siswa seperti Connecting, Organizing, Reflecting, and Extending (CORE) dan Means Ends Analysis (MEA). Penelitian bertujuan mengkaji perbedaan peningkatan kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa antara yang mendapatkan model pembelajaran CORE dengan MEA. Metode penelitian adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan populasi seluruh siswa kelas XI salah satu SMA Negeri di Garut. Sampel penelitian yaitu kelas XI MIPA 4 dan XI MIPA 5. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes uraian kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan peningkatan kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa antara yang mendapatkan model pembelajaran CORE dengan MEA, dengan kualitas peningkatan berinterpretasi sedang. Model pembelajaran CORE lebih baik dalam meningkatkan kemampuan koneksi matematis.The students' mathematical connection ability is low. Efforts to improve students' mathematical connection skills include applying learning models that emphasize student activity such as Connecting, Organizing, Reflecting, and Extending (CORE) and Means Ends Analysis (MEA). This study aims to examine the differences in the improvement of students' mathematical connection skills between those who received the CORE learning model and the MEA. The research method is quasi-experimental with a population of all students of class XI one of the Public SMA in Garut. The research sample is class XI MIPA 4 and XI MIPA 5. The data collection technique uses a description test of mathematical connection abilities and student attitude questionnaires. The results showed that there were differences in the improvement of students' mathematical connection skills between those who received the CORE and MEA learning models, with moderate improvement in interpreting quality. The CORE learning model is better at improving mathematical connection skills.

Abstract

How a person processes, stores or uses information to respond to a task or respond to various types of situations from their environment, is called the cognitive style. Cognitive style is one of the factors that affect students' mathematical problem-solving abilities. This study aims to describe students' mathematical problem-solving abilities in terms of reflective and impulsive cognitive styles on the material of a two-variable system of linear equations. This research is qualitative descriptive research conducted in Kp. Babakan. The instruments used are Test, Interview, Observation, and Documentation, with a population of eighth-grade students as many as 8 students. The sample selection in this study was based on the Matching Familiar Figure Test (MFFT) cognitive style test instrument, then a mathematical problem-solving ability test, interviews, and observations. The results of this study indicate that students' mathematical problem-solving abilities are based on a reflective style. Students have mdkkl indicators of mathematical problem-solving ability. However, there are still a few errors in interpreting the results according to the original problem, while students' mathematical problem-solving abilities are based on an impulsive style. Bagaimana cara seseorang memproses, menyimpan maupun menggunakan informasi untuk menanggapi suatu tugas atau menanggapi berbagai jenis situasi dari lingkungannya, disebut dengan gaya kognitif. Gaya kognitif merupakan salah satu faktor yang mempengaruhi kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa ditinjau dari gaya kognitif reflektif dan impulsif pada materi sistem persamaan linear dua variabel. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif yang dilaksanakan di Kp. Babakan. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah Tes, Wawancara, Observasi, dan Dokumentasi, dengan subjek penelitian kelas VIII sebanyak 8 siswa. Pemilihan sampel pada penelitian ini didasari dengan menggunakan instrumen tes gaya kognitif Matching Familiar Figure Test (MFFT), kemudian tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis, wawancara, dan observasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa berdasarkan gaya reflektif. Siswa sudah memenuhi semua indikator kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis. Namun masih ada sedikit kesalahan dalam menginterpretasikan hasil sesuai permasalahan asal, sedangkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa berdasarkan gaya impulsif.
