Abstract

This study aims to determine verbal linguistic intelligence, to determine the results learning English especially on students' speaking, and to find out the influence of verbal linguistic intelligence on learning outcomes in English students of class X IPA 1 of SMAN 1 Sidrap. This research is quantitative research; this type of research is a pre-experimental design research. The population in this study was all students of class X SMAN 1 Sidrap, amounting to 182 people, while the study sample was the entire population, namely students of class X IPA 1 SMAN 1 Sidrap, amounting to 32 people. The instruments used in this study were interviews, questionnaires, treatment and recording tools. The data analysis technique used is descriptive statistical analysis and simple regression test through the application of SPSS. Based on the results of descriptive statistical analysis, verbal linguistic intelligence obtained an average value of 84.94, the lowest value obtained 0, and the highest value 107 and are at a percentage of 56.25% are in the average category. The results of learning English in this case speaking students obtained an average value of 96, the lowest value of 0, and the highest value of 96 and are in the good category with a percentage of 65.625%. The simple regression test results obtained sig <α (0,000 <0.05). This means that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, which means there is a positive influence between verbal linguistic intelligence on learning outcomes of students of class X Science 1 of SMAN 1 Sidrap.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan metode reorganisasi taksonomi Barrett terhadap kemampuan membaca intensif siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 5 Panca Rijang tahun pelajaran 2020/2021. Data diperoleh dengan teknik tes. Hasil yang diperoleh dari teknik tersebut selanjutnya diolah melalui teknik statistik deskriptif dan teknik inferensial (uji-t). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan nilai t hitung lebih besar dari nilai t tabel (2,861 ≥ 2,026) maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan metode reorganisasi taksonomi Barrett berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan membaca intensif siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 5 Panca Rijang tahun ajaran 2020/2021.

Abstract

Kemampuan Menulis Karangan Eksposisi Siswa Kelas VII SMPN 5 Redak Kabupaten Enrekang. Penelitin ini bertujuan untuk kemampuan siswa dalam menulis karang eksposisi. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 5 Redak Kabupaten Enrekang, yakni 40 siswa yang tersebar pada dua kelas yaitu kelas VIIA dan VIIB. Sampel ditarik sebanyak 20 orang dengan cara acak kelas dan yang terpilih adalah kelasVII A. Data diperoleh dari instrumen tes hasil karangan eksposisi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa berkategori tuntas sebayak 16 orang (80%), sedangkan yang tidak tuntas sebanyak 4 orang (20%). Hasil tersebut menunjukan bahwa siswa telah mampu menulis karangan eksposisi. Dikatakan demikian karena secara klasikal telah mencapai 80% dengan KKM sebesar 75%. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data disimpulkan bahwa siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 5 Redak Kabupaten Enrekang mampu menulis karangan eksposisi.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas tentang efektivitas model consep sentence dalam menulis berita pada siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 5 Pancarijang. Berdasarkan hasil pengamatan, siswa kesulitan menulis berita karena kurang memahami materi, kesulitan menentukan judul, serta kesulitan mengembangkan kalimat menjadi paragraf. Masalah yang ingin dipecahkan pada penelitian ini adalah efektivittas penerapan model Concept Sentence dalam menyelesaikan kesulitan-kesulitan yang dialami oleh siswa dalam menulis dan mengembangkan berita. Tujuan yang ingin dicapai adalah mengetahui efektivitas penerpan model Concept Sentence dalam menulis teks berita. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen dengan menggunakan posttest control group design. Populasi penelitian sebanyak 39 dan keseluruhan populasi dijadikan sebagai sampel. Penelitian ini didasarkan pada teori yang dikembangka oleh Robert E Slavin dari The John Hopkins University. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ditemukan bahwa model concep sentence efektif digunakan dalam pembelajaran menulis teks berita. Hal tersebut dapat dilihat pada kemampuan menulis teks berita pada kelas kontrol berada pada kategori sedang dengan nilai rata-rata 70 dan pada kelas eksperimen berada pada kategori tinggi dengan nilai rata-rata 80. Hasil pengolahan data menggunakan statistic inferensial menggambarkan bahwa model Concept Sentence memberikan pengaruh secara siginifikan dalam penulisan teks berita dengan t hitung sebesar 3,337 lebih besar dari t table sebesar 2,206. Abstract

The aim of this research is to describe Indonesian spelling errors in news on the online news portal Tribun-Timur.com. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach. This research focuses on spelling errors, namely the use of letters, writing words, and the use of punctuation marks. The data in the research are words or sentences that contain spelling errors. The data source in this research is news on the online news portal Tribun-Timur.com (Tribun Sidrap) January 2023 edition. The data collection techniques used in this research are reading techniques, note-taking techniques and documentation techniques. The data analysis techniques used in this research are data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions.From the research results, it was found that there were 1 errors in using capital letters, 9 errors in using italics, 4 errors in writing basic words, 2 errors in writing affix words (prefixes), 4 errors in writing combinations of words, 2 errors in writing combinations of words, 2 errors in writing prepositions. , 3 errors in writing abbreviations and acronyms, 2 errors in writing numbers and numbers, and 12 errors in using commas.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to determine the ability of the 10th-grade students at State Senior High School 1 Sidrap to interpret the poem "Bila Kutitipkan" by Ahmad Mustofa Bisri and the factors influencing students' ability to interpret poetry. The sample for this research consists of 30 students. The research was conducted on September 18, 2023, at State Senior High School 1 Sidrap. The data collection method used was group discussions. The data was analyzed using frequency tables. Based on the research results, it was found that 24 students scored above 75, with a percentage of 80%, and 6 students scored below 75, with a percentage of 20%. Based on the data above, it can be concluded that 10th-grade students at State Senior High School 1 Sidrap are capable of interpreting the poem "Bila Kutitipkan" by Gus Mus. There are three factors influencing students' ability to interpret poetry: the frequency of reading poetry, the enjoyment of reading poetry, and the impact of poetry on students' lives. Based on the research results, out of the 30 students at State Senior High School 1 Pancarijang, 22 of them stated that they often and enjoy reading poetry, and poetry has an impact on their lives, while 8 students stated that they neither enjoy nor often read poetry, and poetry does not have an impact on their lives.
