Abstract

The implementation of reading and writing literacy programs for elementary school students is needed because in the modern era there is a lack of interest in reading and writing owned by elementary school students. The purpose of this research is to implement literacy regarding the mitigation of the natural disaster of Mount Merapi for elementary school students. Because there are still many elementary school students who do not know the mitigation of the natural disaster of Mount Merapi. The method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive method in the form of an instrument used in distributing pre-test and post-test questionnaires. Contains 10 questions regarding the literacy program on the impact of the volcanic natural disaster, which is directed to elementary school. This is evidenced through a pre-test questionnaire at the beginning and the average result of 10 students before being given material on natural disaster mitigation is 45%. After students were given material through online learning media, the average results obtained increased by 80%. It is proven that based on the data obtained, most of the students have good knowledge about natural disaster mitigation. The impact felt by students related to the literacy program regarding the natural disaster of Mount Merapi, students are more concerned about natural disaster preparedness.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out whether short stories can affect the attitudes and behavior of a child related to efforts to prevent the transmission of the COVID-19 virus. The research was conducted using descriptive qualitative methods to 10 elementary school students 3 Pagerwangi. The results show that learning with short stories media can influence children's attitudes and behavior. There is an increase in student behavior in an effort to prevent the transmission of the COVID-19 virus. Some students who previously lacked an understanding of health protocols, have better understood how important it is to obey health protocols, and also always do it in their daily lives. This can be seen from the decrease in students who are negligent in carrying out health protocols. Learning through this short story media, students are expected to further improve efforts to prevent the transmission of the COVID-19 virus in their daily lives, as well as remind each other the importance of carrying out health protocols correctly for others.

Abstract

This study purpose to determine the impact of online learning on the self-development ability of students with intellectual disabilities from a family perspective. The method used in this study is a mixed experimental method involving 8 parents of students with intellectual disabilities. This research stage is pre-test - treatment - post-test. As a result, there is no significant impact of online learning on the self-development ability of students with intellectual disabilities. Changes only occurred in the decrease in the habit of getting up early in the morning as much as 12.5% and the increase in the habit of studying regularly as much as 12.5%. Treatment in the form of learning videos of daily living activities only affected increasing students' morning habits by as much as 12.5%. This happens because students can take care and care for themselves independently. In addition, the limited time in treatment makes the results less than optimal. Online learning has both positive and negative impacts on students with intellectual disabilities. To reduce the negative impact, regular practice and collaboration between parents and teachers are needed so that students can achieve independence.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to increase the knowledge of junior high school students regarding the processing of chicken nuggets in terms of knowledge of materials, equipment and stages of manufacture. The method used in this research is video animation. This method uses audio-visual so that it can increase students' interest in learning the processing of chicken nuggets. The approach used in this research is quantitative. The results showed that the students' knowledge about processing chicken nuggets increased. This can be seen from the students' post-test results increased by 31.25%. The animated video method given to students provides an explanation of the pictures of tools and materials as well as an explanation of the manufacturing process optimally. Therefore, students can understand the material well.

Abstract

The availability of family medicinal plants as living pharmacies has been widely used by the community. The increasing use of herbal medicines causes scientific information related to these medicines to have an important position for the public. Ideally, all scientific information in the form of electronic files can be obtained from the internet. However, this condition cannot be fulfilled because of the high cost of internet subscription. Therefore, the knowledge that develops in the community about medicines needs to be documented as well as possible so that it can be maintained and studied by the next generation. This study aims to improve students' literacy skills about living pharmacies through information and communication media for elementary school students in the 2021/2022 academic year. We was conducted using a qualitative descriptive method accompanied by library research activities. This was proven through a pre-test questionnaire at the beginning and the average result of 17 students was 70.65%. After students were given material in the form of reading material about living pharmacies, students' understanding increased by 13.42%. Based on these data, it was revealed that most of the respondents had good knowledge after being given a literature study about living pharmacies.

Abstract

The use of the iPusnas App as a medium of reading book has not been optimized by Indonesian students. The purpose of this research is to perceive about middle school students perseption on using iPusnas App in adding textbooks for social studies subject matter. This research will result in an update of: (1) Find out social studies secondary textbooks efficiently and (2) Adding textbooks sources to support social studies learning. The method used in this research is qualitative descriptive. This research method is carried out by distributing questionnaires, pos test and pre test, analyze, and describe the result. These results are expected to improve literacy by using iPusnas App as a medium of reading textbooks for social studies learning in addition to using texbooks provided by the school. The conclusion is students will find it easy to acces social studies textbooks anywhere and anytime with internet and iPusnas App and increase interest in literacy to students.
