Abstract

This study examines the role of the principal's leadership in enhancement teacher performance at SMA Negeri 2 Makassar. The purpose of this study was to determine 1) the leadership role of the principal in enhancement teacher performance at SMA Negeri 2 Makassar; 2) the supporting and inhibiting factors of the principal's leadership role in enhancement teacher performance at SMA Negeri 2 Makassar. This type of research is qualitative with a descriptive approach. The results showed that the principal's leadership in enhancement teacher performance was through his role as a) educators, conduct various activities to improve teacher competence in schools, such as in-house training and development workshops and become resource persons in these activities; b) managers, carry out development workshops, conduct in-house training, carry out MGMP activities inside and outside the school, and involve teachers in training activities; c) administrators, making strategic programs to improve teacher professionalism and supervising the implementation of learning; d) supervisors, supervise learning and study lesson plans, conduct individual meetings and follow up on the results of supervision, as well as provide support for facilities and a conducive atmosphere;   e) leader (leader), arouse the enthusiasm and cooperation of teachers, increase teacher interest in the development of education and implement multi-directional communication: f) motivators; provide verbal motivation and rewards, manage the school's physical environment, work atmosphere and discipline and provide learning resources; g) innovators, directing teachers to apply innovative learning models, create new ideas and integrate activities. Supporting factors, namely the support of adequate learning facilities, a conducive environment and the provision of rewards and reprimands, then the inhibiting factor, namely school principals find it quite difficult to change the mindset of teachers who are beyond productive age in following technological developments.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji bentuk Pelaksanaan Supervisi Akademik Kepala Sekolah di SMAN 9 Bulukumba, Mulai dari tahap pertemuan pra pengamatan, pelaksanaan pengamatan, dan pertemuan tindak lanjut. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif, yaitu berusaha menggambarkan fenomena yang diteliti dalam bentuk deskriptif. Unit analisis dalam penelitian ini adalah kepala sekolah dan guru kelas yang pernah melakukan supervisi berjumlah tiga orang. Teknik pengumpulan data adalah wawancara dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: kepala sekolah menciptakan suasana akrab dengan guru, memberikan pelatihan dalam rencana pengajaran, yang selanjutnya akan dilakukan guru saat kepala sekolah melakukan observasi kelas dimana guru itu mengajar. Hal-hal yang terjadi saat proses pembelajaran, dan juga tidak mengganggu proses pembelajaran, serta melaksanakan seluruh format observasi yang telah disepakati, mengulas kembali hal-hal penting yang dianggap perlu diperbaiki, memberikan penguatan kepada guru, mengajak guru menelaah tujuan dan strategi pembelajaran serta menunjukkan hasil pelaksanaan pengamatan untuk diberikan kesimpulan.  Pelaksanaan supervisi akademik kepala sekolah di SMAN 9 Bulukumba mulai dari tahap pertemuan pra pengamatan, pelaksanaan pengamatan, dan tindak lanjut sudah terlaksana dengan cukup baik, meskipun masih ada pula guru yang merespon buruk akan pelaksanaan supervisi ini, karena menilai bahwa pelaksanaan supervisi akan menilai kinerja mengajar mereka. Proses pada pelaksanaan pengamatan dan tindak lanjut menggambarkan supervisi yang dilakukan menggunakan model supervisi klinis, sedangkan pada pemecahan masalah kepala sekolah menggunakan pendekatan kolaboratif.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji tentang Pelaksanaan Supervisi Akademik Kepala Sekolah di SD Inpres Antang 1 Kota Makassar. Fokus penelitian yaitu: (1) Bagaimanah Perencanaan supervisi akademik kepala sekolah di SD Inpres Antang 1 Kota Makassar? (2) Bagaimanah Pelaksanaan supervisi akademik kepala sekolah di SD Inpres Antang 1 Kota Makassar? (3) Bagaimanah Tindak lanjut supervisi akademik kepala sekolah di SD Inprs Antang 1 Kota Makassar?. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu: (1) Untuk mengetahui Perencanaan supervisi akademik kepala sekolah di SD Inprs Antang 1 Kota Makassar. (2) Untuk mengetahui Pelaksanaan supervisi akademik kepala sekolah di SD Inprs Antang 1 Kota Makassar. (3) Untuk mengetahui Tindak lanjut supervisi akademik kepala sekolah di SD Inprs Antang 1 Kota Makassa. Pendekatan penelitian ini adalah kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian deskriptif. Pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa  pelaksanaan supervisi akademik kepala sekolah di SD Inpres Antang 1 Kota Makassar terdiri dari perencanaan supervisi akademik, pelaksanaan supervisi akademik, dan tindak lanjut supervisi akademik. (1) Perencanaan supervisi akademik kepala sekolah yaitu dengan merumuskan tujuan supervisi akademik, menyusun jadwal, serta penentuan pendekatan yang akan digunakan dalam pelaksanaan supervisi akademik. (2) Pelaksanaan supervisi akademik kepala sekolah yaitu melaksanakan supervisi terhadap perencanaan mengajar guru, pelaksanaan mengajar guru, serta melaksanakan supervisi akademik terhadap evaluasi mengajar guru. Dalam pelaksanaan supervisi akademik kepala sekolah menggunakan teknik individual dan teknik supervisi kelompok sedangkan pendekatan yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kolaboratif. (3) Tindak lanjut supervisi akademik kepala sekolah dilakukan dengan cara menganalisis hasil evaluasi serta melakukan pembinaan terhadap keterampilan dan sikap guru. Bentuk tindak lanjut supervisi akademik kepala sekolah kepada guru yaitu mengadakan rapat hasil supervisi akademik dengan menggunakan pendekatan kolaboratif, serta pengikutsertaan pada pelatihan-pelatihan yang dilakukan oleh bidang studi, seperti mengikuti seminar pengembangan perangkat pembelajaran.

Abstract

This research examines the implementation of madrasah culture from the perspective of character education in Madrasah through structural and cultural approaches. This study aims to discover and describe the performance of madrasa culture from the perspective of character education. This research approach is qualitative with a phenomenological type of research. This research was carried out at madrasah Ibtidaiyah Negeri 3 Luwu. The data sources in this study are the head of the madrasa, the curriculum coordinator, and the teacher—data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques use data reduction, data presentation, and concluding. I was checking the validity of the data using triangulation techniques. The results showed that the values of character education are integrated from various structural aspects. The use of structural-functional elements in organizing character education is an effort to supervise and guide the development of madrasah culture, in this case, related to the internalization of character education values towards madrasah residents, especially on the object of education, namely students. The implementation of madrasah culture in the perspective of character education through a cultural approach which includes the behavior of madrasah residents, traditions, daily habits, and cultural symbols, can also be said to be in line with the formulation of the vision, mission, and goals of the madrasa or with the madrasah's efforts in building a positive culture. The behavior of madrasah residents has been applied to the values of character education cultivated due to integration into every daily activity and tradition of madrasah residents through habituation efforts. In addition, madrasah culture in the perspective of character education is also found in cultural results, which become symbols in the form of the arrangement of buildings and classrooms and the uniform clothes of madrasah residents.

Abstract

This study explores perceptions of school principals in secondary education about entrepreneurial competence, and how these perceptions affect the development of entrepreneurship education in schools. Using a qualitative approach, interviews were conducted with four principals, two high schools and two vocational schools. The results showed that the principals’ understanding of entrepreneurial competence concerned developing business units for school income. There were differences between the high school and vocational school principals’ perceptions of entrepreneurship education. In vocational schools, the focus was more on developing school production units, while in high schools, the entrepreneurship education was the addition to the local content curriculum through craftsmanship teaching to students. The study found that the schools have limited resources to enhance knowledge to put entrepreneurship education into practice. Entrepreneurship education was viewed as difficult to develop in general schools due to the high school curriculum that focused on academic knowledge, where, there is no subject directly related to entrepreneurship. Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui persepsi kepala sekolah pada jenjang Pendidikan menengah atas dan bagaimana persepsi tersebut berdampak terhadap kurikulum Pendidikan kewirausahaan di sekolah. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Informan yang diwawancarai adalah 4 kepala sekolah, 2 kepala SMA, dan 2 kepala SMK. Pemilihan kepala sekolah dilakukan berdasarkan jenis sekolah, SMA dan SMK. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan persepsi kepala sekolah tentang kompetensi kewirausahaan adalah tentang pengembangan unit bisnis sebagai sumber pendapatan sekolah. Terdapat perbedaan antara SMA dan SMK tentang pendidikan kewirausahaan. Di jenjang SMK, sekolah lebih fokus pada pengembangaan unit produksi dalam pengembangan kewirausahaan sekolah, sedangkan di jenjang SMA, pendidikan kewirausahaan dimasukkan dalam kurikulum muatan lokal dengan mengajarkan mata pelajaran prakarya pada peserta didik. Pendidikan Kewirausahaan juga dirasakan agak sulit untuk dikembangkan di SMA karena karakteristik kurikulum SMA yang dianggap lebih fokus pada pembelajaran yang sifatnya akademik, dan tidak adanya mata pelajaran khusus yang terkait langsung dengan kewirausahaan.

Abstract

AbstractThe purpose of this study is 1) to find out the picture of the implementation of the principal's academic supervision and 2) to find out the supporting factors and inhibiting factors for implementing the principal's academic supervision. This research approach is qualitative. The data sources in this study are principals and teachers of the field of study. Data collection techniques through interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis through data reduction, data presentation, and concluding. The results of this study show that the implementation of academic supervision carried out by the principal first carried out the planning process, such as making learning tools (syllabus and rpp), supervision schedules, supervision instruments, supervision techniques, guiding teachers in carrying out learning activities in class or the field, determining the plan for the implementation of supervision and making a supervision format. The principal informs all teachers to prepare all that will be supervised. The implementation of supervision begins with data collection to find various shortcomings and weaknesses of teachers, carried out at the end of the semester, after the midterm exam. The follow-up to the implementation of the principal's supervision is to guide teachers to improve learning by providing examples, discussions, training, and consultations. Supporting factors are the readiness of teachers to receive guidance, the willingness of teachers to participate in supervision, and inhibiting factors, namely, teachers who do not prepare themselves, and all administrative components become obstacles in the implementation of academic supervision

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out what Teacher Management Professional Training Management looks like in SMP Negeri 17 Makassar. The approach used in this research is qualitative with descriptive research type. The data sources of researchers are Wakasek Curriculum, Teacher and Teacher BK. and the archive at the research location. Data collection procedures used are interviews, and documentation. The analysis techniques used are data collection, data reduction, data display ,. The results of this study indicate that: The management of this teacher professionalism training includes MGMP training which is an activity to improve professionalism competence as professional educators and develop the quality of education. Teachers must perform optimally and with all efforts to make their students achieve the expected goals. So this paper tries to discuss the management of teacher professionalism training which includes MGMP training as an institution that seeks to produce professional teachers. Besides that, to carry out his professionalism as a professional teacher is his creativity and innovation. Management Teacher professionalism training in Makassar 17 Public Middle School improves the quality of being a professional teacher. Based on good management and management, this training will run according to the desired goals.

Teknik analisis data menggunakan pengumpulan data, reduksi data,penyajiandatadanpenarikankesimpulan.Hasil penelitianPerencanaan srukturorganiasasiperpustakaan diSMKNegeri2Makassar,selalumelibatkanpihaksekolahdanguru-gurudalamperencanaanstrukturorganisasi,sumberdayamanusia(tenagaperpustakaan),anggaranyangmengacukepadadanaBOS,kegiatanteknisataukegiatanpemberdayaan yang dilakukan pihak sekolah dalam hal peningkatan minat baca dikalanganpesertadidikmaupuntenagapendidikyangbekerjasamadengan   perpustakaan daerah, terakhir koleksi buku. Abstract

This study examines the management of junior high school principals' work deliberations (MKKS) in continuing professional development at the Sinjai District Education Office. The purpose of this research is to find out the description of planning, implementation, supervision as well as the supporting and inhibiting factors of MKKS activities in sustainable professional development. This study used descriptive qualitative method. Research data obtained by using interviews, observation and documentation. Data analysis techniques namely data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. Checking the validity of the data using triangulation techniques. The results of the research show that: (1) work program planning is carried out by analyzing the needs of continuing professional development (AKPKB) and determining PKB priorities in the work program, formulating the results to be achieved, and preparing sources and uses of funding; (2) the implementation of the work program is carried out in accordance with established procedures by taking into account the three elements of PKB, namely self-development, innovative work and scientific publications, but the implementation of the MKKS program seems monotonous and the PKB program is almost the same every year and lacks PKB implementation on elements of scientific publications; (3) supervision in MKKS includes supervision at the initial stage of planning, supervision of program implementation, supervision at the final stage of evaluating the program and financial supervision whose time is conditioned; (4) supporting factors, namely good collaboration of members due to the need to increase the same competence, support from educational institutions and independent funding, while inhibiting factors, namely being vulnerable to age which results in differences in understanding, difficulties in developing the mindset of MKKS members who are about to retire regarding PKB and meetings the discussion did not bring up new ideas or ideas for program improvement.

Abstract

This research aims to determine Management Public Relations in the Implementation of Online Learning During the COVID-19 Pandemic at SD Islam Al Bayyinah Makassar. Public relations management in this case is seen from planning, organizing, implementing, controlling and evaluating of public relations. The approach used is a qualitative with descriptive type of research. Data analysis in this study used the Miles and Huberman model. Checking the validity of the data using triangulation techniques. The results showed that public relations planning was carried out to determine public relations goals and strategies in carrying out online public relations based on the needs of the school public. In this case, the organizing stage is also carried out, where it is decided that homeroom teachers, subject teachers with the assistance of school administration staff are in charge of carrying out previously planned public relations activities, which include presentations of school activities carried out at the beginning of the semester, creating whatsapp groups for each class, monthly online meetings and the COVID-19 vaccination program in collaboration with Puskesmas Pampang. The media used in the implementation of public relations are cellphones and laptops, using online applications including zoom, school web, youtube, facebook, instagram and whatsapp. Control in the implementation of public relations is carried out by the head of SD Islam Al Bayyinah Makassar who directly monitors public relations activities and communicates online to the coordinator and homeroom teacher. evaluation of public relations activities is carried out online with the foundation, principal, teachers, and parents/guardians of students by presenting detailed information about online learning conducted by the school in one semester.
