Abstract

Salah  satu capaian  pembelajaran  mata  kuliah  instrumentasi  adalah mampu  menjelaskan  penggunaan konsep  instrumentasi  pada  penerapan  teknologi  instrumentasi.  Pengembangan  media  merupakan  salah  satu upaya  mencapai capaian  pembelajaran  tersebut.  Penerapan  teknologi  instrumentasi  yang  diangkat  dalam penelitian  ini  adalah  penggunaan  photodioda  sebagai  sensor  denyut  jantung yang memungkinkan penggunaan berbagai macam rangkaian pengkondisi sinyal untuk memodifikasi sinyal ke output. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan  desain media berdasarkan  analisis  kebutuhan  dan  memaparkan  hasil  evaluasi pengembangan media tersebut. Media dikembangkan dengan  tahapan analisis  kebutuhan, desain, pengembangan dan evaluasi. Hasil  menunjukkan  bahwa:  (1) media  berupa  trainer  berbentuk  kotak  yang  berisikan titik-titik  pengukuran (sensor,  pengkondisi  sinyal  dan  output)  diatas  skema rangkaian  sesungguhnya dan  jobsheet  praktik;  dan  (2) evaluasi  menunjukkan  bahwa  trainer  memiliki  unjuk  kerja  yang  sesuai  dan  mendapat  penilaian  layak  dari mahasiswa.  Sebagai  tambahan  penggunaan  trainer  tersebut  memudahkan  mahasiswa  dalam  memaparkan variabel proses, sensor, pengkondisi sinyal dan output dari media pembelajaran pengukur denyut jantung yang dikembangkan.

Abstract

Mulai kurikulum 2014, Mata Kuliah Praktik Teknik Digital memiliki tambahan beberapa cakupan materi dari Mata Kuliah Praktik Teknik Digital II. Dampak dari hal tersebut adalah berkurangnya waktu pembelajaran untuk penguasaan suatu materi. Oleh karena itu, perlu ada strategi khusus untuk mengatasi hal tersebut, salah satunya melalui pengembangan media pembelajaran. Tujuan makalah ini untuk menyajikan spesifikasi media pembelajaran pada Mata Kuliah Praktik Teknik Digital Prodi D3 Teknik Elektronika UNY hasil analisis dan desain. Analisis dilakukan secara mendalam terkait Audience, Objective, Task, dan Media Analysis. Analisis dan desain dilakukan dengan beberapa metode, yaitu: observasi, wawancara, angket dan dilanjutkan dengan FGD. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa spesifikasi media pembelajaran yang sesuai pada mata kuliah praktik teknik digital di D3 Teknik Elektronika UNY berupa: (1) trainer yang terdiri atas blok input, blok output, blok development dan blok power; (2) jobsheet yang memuat 12 macam praktik; dan (3) manual book memuat spesifikasi fisik, cara penggunaan dan cara pemeliharaan trainer. Spesifikasi media sebagai hasil analisis dan desain yang dilakukan secara mendalam dan komprehensif  diharapkan akan menghasilkan media pembelajaran yang secara tepat mengatasi permasalahan dalam pembelajaran yang secara faktual terjadi, yaitu efektifitas pembelajaran dengan waktu yang terbatas.

Abstract

Artikel ini memaparkan kompetensi pedagogik, permasalahan-permasalahan pengembangan dan kebutuhan pengembangan pembelajaran terkait penyiapan guru vokasional TAV abad 21. Data diambil menggunakan metode survey. Hasil studi menunjukkan bahwa kompetensi pedagogik guru vokasional TAV abad 21 dinilai sangat penting. Sembilan aspek kompetensi pedagogik terpenting, diantaranya: (1) pembelajaran berbasis kompetensi; (2) penggunaan model pembelajaran vokasional; (3) menyusun RPP; (4) pemahaman landasan kependidikan vokasional; (5) pemahaman karakteristik peserta didik; (6) menyusun instrumen penilaian; (7) menggunakan media pembelajaran konstekstual; (8) pemanfaatan TIK dalam pembelajaran; dan (9) penyampaian materi pelajaran secara spesifik. Berbagai kendala pengembangan kompetensi pedagogik, yaitu: kurangnya wawasan pedagogik, terbatasnya sarana-prasarana, kurangnya update penggunaan TIK, dan terbebani tugas tambahan. Pemerolehan wawasan kompetensi pedagogik sebagian besar diperoleh guru saat bekerja. Hal tersebut menunjukkan bahwa pengembangan kompetensi pedagogik di perkuliahan perlu lebih diupayakan, khususnya untuk kompetensi Konsep pendidikan vokasional, Karakteristik peserta didik dan Pembelajaran vokasional di abad 21.

Abstract

Static CCTV facilities in class need to be optimized in classroom learning, especially in recording learning activities as implementation of learning in the 21st century and strategic steps to face the Industrial Revolution 4.0. Educators need to play a role in utilizing CCTV in learning. This article presents the development of YouTube Integrated Video Moving Surveillance devices using Raspberry Pi 3. The development stages consist of analysis, design, development and evaluation. The analysis shows that: (1) the limitations of CCTV motion are followed up with the addition of motorcycles; (2) limited access to video recording data is followed up by sending in real time using YouTube; and (3) controlling the system performance of the device using Raspberry Pi 3 model B. The evaluation results show that all electronic measurement parameters are in accordance with the success target and the functional test shows that the device can function to record classroom learning activities that can be monitored in real time via YouTube with good quality (average delay is 22,89s). The results of the development of this device are expected to be an alternative use of technology in learning, especially in the supervision and assessment of student learning activities.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan trainer signal conditioning dan menilai kelayakan trainer signal conditioning. Penelitian ini menggunakan model pengembangan yang terdiri dari analisis, desain, implementasi dan evaluasi, dimana letak evaluasi dan revisi terletak pada tiap tahapan. Evaluasi dilakukan oleh ahli materi, ahli media dan pengguna. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengembangan trainer signal conditioning melalui beberapa tahapan, diantaranya: (1) analisis diperoleh temuan bahwa: (a) alat dan pedoman praktik kurang update dan tidak match dengan dunia industri; (b) mahasiswa memerlukan gambaran hasil praktik; dan (c) mahasiswa memerlukan kemampuan trouble shooting; (2) pada tahapan desain diperoleh: (a) desain koper boks media yang didalamnya berisi 6 trainer yang terpasang dibagian atas koper, kemudian bagian dalam koper terdapat area signal conditioning, area project board, area alat ukur, area pembacaan signal menggunakan LCD, area penyimpan komponen dan area kabel; (b) pedoman praktik yang berisi 6 job praktik sesuai trainer yang dikembangkan; dan (c) manual book berisi petunjuk penggunaan trainer; (3) pada tahapan implementasi dilakukan pembuatan media berdasarkan desain; (4) pada tahapan evaluasi dilakukan penilaian media, dimana revisi dilakukan pada tiap tahapan. Hasil penelitian berikutnya menunjukkan bahwa nilai kelayakan media trainer signal conditioning secara umum memperoleh nilai 3,28 yang diintrepetasikan dalam kategori Sangat Baik dan diperoleh beberapa masukan yang telah diperbaiki, terkait penambahan jumlah bahan praktikum, penggantian kabel yang putus dan pembuatan kalimat instruksi. Nilai kelayakan yang dapat diinterpetasikan sangat baik pada trainer signal conditioning menunjukkan bahwa trainer ini dapat digunakan dalam pembelajaran dikelas. Abstract

Teaching traditionally through the use of textbooks and lecture makes the decline in learning desirability among technical & vocational education and training (TVET) students. In the 21st century learning, the technology changes in learning such as e-learning have led to the use of technology in the field of TVET. Most TVET educators have started using the Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) as a learning medium. The purpose of this study to enhance the quality of teaching and learning for TVET students in higher education. Teaching and  learning in TVET lack of  using blended learning approach. This study examine students’ acceptance and specify the criteria that make Massive Open Online Courses (MOOC) suitable for TVET in learning environment. The respondent are 60 students randomly selected from Creativity and Innovation courses. This study employed the quantitative methodology which include the use of questionnaire with Likert scale. The questionnaire consist four construct to examine the criteria of MOOC for teaching and learning in TVET.  The  reliability  test  of  Cronbach  Alpha is 0.813. Data were analyzed using descriptive analysis. The findings show that the constructs of perceived of usefulness (mean=1.85), perceived ease of use (mean=1.90), user attitude toward use (mean=1.86) and actual system use (mean=1.83) towards the acceptance of MOOC in teaching and learning among TVET students. In general, these finding also showed positive respond to implement MOOC for TVET in higher education. Thus, in making the learning process more interesting, the educators should improving existing teaching style.

Abstract

Nowadays, innovation for teaching aids is an important requirement to ensure the teaching and learning process can run smoothly. Coinciding with the Malaysia Education Blueprint 2013-2025 (Ministry of Education) through the ninth surge of Global Online Learning, the development of the Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) was built. The ADDIE model has been adapted for this development. The study aims to develop an appropriate interactive learning for Food and Beverage Presentation subjects based on the Vocational College (VC) syllabus. In research development, researchers use Richey and Klein research recommendations, using Alpha and Beta tests in the evaluation phase of the study. The population of the study involved 155 Catering students at Muar Vocational College and the sample of the study were 60 of third and fourth-year Diploma students. The sampling method used is the purposive sampling and the instrument used in the form of the questionnaire. Data collected were collected and analyzed descriptively using Statistical Packages for Social Science (SPSS) version 23.0. Based on the analysis, the reliability value of the instrument is 0.997 and shows that the reliability of the instrument is at a high level. The findings show that the use of MOOC can increase computer literacy (3.75), interest (3.78) and student learning styles (3.75) and make the learning process more interesting. In addition, the findings show that the use of the MOOC application can help students in improving the performance and achievement of students in learning and thus can be an alternative to diversifying the teaching and learning process in VC.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to identify the visualization of the students, the students' cognitive load, and the teaching style of the teacher while teaching using the augmented reality (AR) teaching kit in the classroom. The population involved 90 Welding Technology students at Vocational College of Batu Pahat. The purposive sampling method was used and involved 30 respondents. The instrument used was a questionnaire to obtain information. Data were collected and analyzed descriptively. Based on the pilot study, the Cronbach Alpha value was 0.94. The results showed that the use of an AR teaching kit was able to enhance students’ visualization and reduced the cognitive load experienced by the students. In addition, teaching and learning are more interesting because of the teaching style of teachers who use theories and practices simultaneously. Furthermore, the use of AR in education can enhance the visualization of students abstractly, which helps them when conducting experiential tests and establishing a safe teaching and learning environment.
