Abstract

The concept of eco-culture has a sustainability paradigm that emphasizes the harmony of humans and ecosystems. The target is the strengthening of local characters through the study of local genius, as well as the application of science and technological innovation in managing the potential for improving the quality of the environment and humans. Increasing the economy through tourism is its added value. Kampung Baran has a unique ethnographic and geographical setting inhabited mostly by low-income people. The potential that can be developed is agriculture which is now slowly starting to be abandoned. This study examines the application of the eco-culture concept which consists of an image of space, an image of building, and an idealized concept of place for the development of Kampung Baran. Through a descriptive-phenomenological study, the researcher explores the physical-spatial-architectural and economic-social-cultural phenomena of Kampung Baran as the object of study. Furthermore, the study of the application of the concept of eco-culture in the village of Baran was carried out through a SWOT analysis. The results obtained indicate that the concept of eco-culture can be applied in Kampung Baran by emphasizing on strengthening the noble values of the culture of agrarian communities in the expression of tangible and intangible heritage that is adaptive to cultural dynamics and strengthening and developing local potential.

Abstract

This research study aims to find out the factors of buying chicken meat in traditional markets during the Covid-19 pandemic. This research was conducted in Jatiasih Market, Jatiasih Subdistrict, Bekasi City, Province of West Java on November 7 to December 12, 2021. The sampling method used is purposive sampling, using 104 respondents. The results showed the characteristics of consumers who buy chicken meat in Jatiasih Market on average women, over 36 years of age, high school education/equivalent, housewife work, income below IDR.1,000,000.00, consumption rate of 1-1.5 Kg in a week and purchase rate as much as 1-3 times a week. The results of the multiple linear regression equations obtained a coefficient of determination of 0.727 which indicates that the health protocols (X1), marketing mix (X2) needs (X3) and purchase intention (X4) affect purchasing decisions (Y) by 62.8%. The F test concluded that health protocols, marketing mix, needs and purchase intention had a significant influence on purchasing decisions. The T test concluded that health protocols have a significant influence on purchasing decisions. Therefore, the advice given according to the results is with chicken traders in Jatiasih Market, among others, traders must always adhere to health protocols in serving consumers, maintaining the cleanliness of outlets and providing services by considering selling using the method of delivery or online, in order to reduce crowds in the market where the market is one of the places that is indeed a lot of spread of the Covid-19 virus.

Abstract

Cultivation ability is determined by how farmers perceive their business, if they have a good perception, the management provided will also be better. When the research starts from July 2021 to February 2022, the informant selection technique used is non-probability sampling with a purposive selection of informants logic. Determination of key informants is done by taking informants from 4 Hamlets, the data analysis used is the Miles and Huberman Model. Breeders have a positive perception of the smoked salted egg program, a positive perception evidenced by the components and the perception process. Information taken is smoked salted egg center, smoked salted egg processing, and marketing. Farmers argue that this program can advance the village, farmers cannot retrieve information on organic feed.

Abstract

The purpose of community service through this Doctoral Service Grant is to help market MSME products assisted by the Blitar Regency Livestock and Fisheries Service through the Triple-Helix model with the concept of e-commerce. The expected result is to expand the market of assisted MSME products in Blitar Regency produced by OPS Cooperative, Srikandi Kitchen, MuZa Smoked Salted Eggs and AKBest (Akademi Komunitas Negeri Putra Sang Fajar Blitar). The location of community service activities will be carried out in Blitar Regency from May to August 2022. The steps of the activity are: 1. Coordination to establish triple-helix cooperation  2. Improving the product image of MSMEs 3. Provide counseling on market share, knowing desires and recognizing potential customers 4. Providing online processed product promotion facilities 5. Providing skills about online transactions and the Canva application The result that has been obtained during the activity process is that parties in the triple-helix model can coordinate so that MSMEs are always informed of government programs. Canva application training and social media creation assistance can improve the product image of MSMEs and then also provide skills about market share, and potential consumers in addition to online transactions. The continuation of the program is still needed for assistance in order to maintain business motivation and improve product quality.

Abstract

The semi-extensive of Ongole Crossbreed cattle business has been carried out for generations by the people of Baluran National Park bufferzone area. The existence of abundant forage in the savanna is the main attraction for farmers and investors to get involved in this business. On the other hand, these activities are limited by legal aspects of national park management. The research was conducted on March, 11, 2021 – December, 23, 2021 used a mixed method squential exploratory model with purposive and exclusion samples. Data were obtained through observations in grazing areas and interviews based on a questionnaire to 60 respondents. The results showed that livestock farming was carried out under a profit-sharing system with 4,718 AU with total investor ownership of 2,608 AU (55.3%) and the highest forage yield during the rainy season was 766.5 gr/m2. Based on the available traditional and special areas of 2,397.29 Ha, the estimated maximum capacity during the rainy season is 805.5 AU. The results of the SOAR analysis are increasing the capacity of the role of area managers through the stages of forming fostered livestock groups and pilot cage, localizing limited grazing by area zoning arrangements, implementing a pasture grazing system, creating policies for dealing with illegal grazing and increasing socialization of intensive livestock farming with business schemes.

Abstract

This study aims to analyzed: (1) the use of the internet and social media by dairy farmers from the Rejeki Barokah livestock group as a source of information during the Covid-19 pandemic, (2) factors that influence the utilization and use of social media by dairy farmers from the Rejeki Barokah cattle’s group as a source of information for farmers during the Covid-19 pandemic, (3) the impact of using the internet and social media by dairy farmers from the Rejeki Barokah livestock group as a source of information in Bringin Village, Wajak District, Malang Regency in January-March 2022. This research was conducted using qualitative methods. Main informants in this study was determined by purposive sampling method as many as 5 resource persons and key informants using snowball sampling as many as 7 sources. The method of collecting data is through in-depth interviews or in-depth interviews. The data analysis in this study used the Miles and Huberman data analysis technique and the validity of the data was determined by the triangulation method. Based on the results of data analysis, data obtained: (1) The use of the internet and social media is the use of Whatsapp, Facebook, Browser, and Youtube. (2) The factor of using social depends on their occupation, culture, personality, level of awareness of information, gender, age, availability of time, access, cost, information overload, and the importance of using social media. (3) The impact arising from the use of social media by members in the form of cognitive, conative, affective and psychomotor effects, the use of social media also has an impact on the knowledge of farmers and from the emergence of these impacts can also have an impact on increasing the scale of the livestock business of members Rejeki Barokah Livestock group

Abstract

Masyarakat Dusun Sidomulyo yang merupakan daerah penyangga Taman Nasional Baluran (TNB) selama beberapa generasi telah menyatu dan memanfaatkan wilayah di sekitar TN Baluran untuk menggembalakan sapi potong. Pemeliharaan secara ekstensif ini lambat laun memasuki daerah konservasi. Dampak dari penggembalaan ekstensif ini secara sosial dan ekologis sangat merugikan. Upaya memadukan dua kepentingan yaitu pemenuhan kebutuhan peternak sapi potong dan konservasi di TN Baluran sudah lama dilakukan. Program inisiasi Program Usaha Ternak Sapi Potong intensif dinilai tepat untuk Kawasan SPTN Wilayah II Sidomulyo Taman Nasional Baluran dalam rangka menyelamatkan TN Baluran dari tekanan masyarakat sekitar sekaligus untuk memberdayakan peternak sapi potong di daerah penyangga. Usaha Ternak Sapi Potong Intensif diharapkan dapat meng­optimalkan potensi wilayah desa penyangga dan mendukung program konservasi Taman Nasional Baluran. Pengabdian masyarakat dilakukan dengan menginisiasi desain kandang komunal dan bank pakan untuk mewujudkan usaha ternak sapi intensif yang menguntungkan semua pihak. Hasil kegiatan ini menunjukkan tercapainya semua indikator keberhasilan yang direncanakan, sejauh ini peternak yang terlibat bersedia untuk memulai intensifikasi usaha dan melakukan fermentasi pakan sebagai awal pendirian bank pakan, namun perubahan sosial dari program tetap membutuhkan sampai menimbulkan dampak yang diinginkan.

Abstract

Desa Sumberwaru, Kecamatan Banyuputih, Kabupaten Situbondo, masuk kedalam pengelolaan Taman Nasional Baluran. Profesi mayoritas masyarakat adalah nelayan sedangkan hasil tangkapan ikannya masih di jual dalam bentuk segar di pasar maupun langsung dikirim ke Bali. Penjualan ikan dalam bentuk segar memiliki beberapa kekurangan diantaranya harga jual yang rendah, ikan cepat rusak dan membutuhkan penyimpanan dingin. Solusi yang ditawarkan adalah pembuatan kerupuk ikan dari hasil tangkapan nelayan. Metode yang digunakan adalah penyuluhan, praktek pembuatan kerupuk ikan, serta pendampingan usaha. Kegiatan ini dilakukan mulai bulan Mei sampai dengan Desember 2022 di, Desa Sumberwaru dengan melibatkan anggota PKK berjumlah 30 orang. Hasil produksi krupuk ikan laut yang dihasilkan menjadi salah satu produk pangan unggulan desa, sehingga mempunyai nilai jual yang lebih tinggi. Kegiatan berbasis pemberdayaan perempuan mengharapkan PKK berpartisipasi dalam pembangunan desa dan memenuhi kebutuhan ekonomi secara mandiri.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the profile of respondents, the implementation of the Honey Bee Cultivation Training program and the level of farmer satisfaction with the Honey Bee Cultivation Training program. The samples used were 30 breeder samples and data collected by using. Data analysis uses the Index Performance Analysis (IPA) and Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) methods. The results of this include the characteristics of respondents who took part in the training, the majority of people of productive age were breeders aged 41-50 years as much as 37%. In terms of gender, the majority is male, 83%, which is because the breeders who take part in the Honey Bee Training program are not only from Simalungun Regency, but several breeders come from outside the city of Simalungun Regency. At the educational level, it was found that Bachelor graduates dominated the number by 60%. This is also related to the respondents' farming experience, several respondents who have more than 30 years of farming experience have high creativity and innovation in making stups or bee boxes using cement to prevent theft of beehives. Based on the calculation of the Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI), the performance or service value provided by officers of the Flora Nauli Center Honey Bee Cultivation Training program in Simalungun Regency was 73,15. The CSI Value Criteria explains that the value of 73,15 is in the "Satisfied" criteria.
