Abstract

Development in the field of health is the achievement of an optimal public health degree. Among people who are often exposed to air pollution such as lead metal (Pb) is a gas station officer. One of the objectives of this research is to figure out the differences of lead level (Pb) in the hair of SPBU workers who base on Jl. Ir. Juanda based on length of service period by using experimental research to analyze Pb metal at gas station workers. The population and sample of research is hair of three gas station workers that contains metal of lead (Pb). The results of this study revealed that the longer employment period of workers, the higher the Pb level in their hair and the percentage recovery value for the wet destruction method using HNO3 and HCLO4 has an average recovery of 96.23% which is the precision test value of 4.01%. It is recommended that the validation test then use another method of dry destruction and examine the identity of age, place of birth date and lifestyle.

Abstract

Abstract: China country. It spreads very quickly, namely through physical contact through the nose, mouth, and eyes, and develops in the lungs (C-Reactive Protein). CRP is an acute phase protein synthesized in the liver for non-specific monitoring of local and systemic disease. The erythrocyte sedimentation rate is the rate at which erythrocytes settle in a vertical tube. Research has been carried out to determine the title of the relationship between C-Reactive Protein Levels and Blood Sedimentation Rates in Covid-19 Confirmed Patients. Samples in this study were 60 samples. Then it was found that there were 45 men with a percentage (58.3 %) and a female sex with a percentage of 25 people (41.7 %), and the average c-reactive protein level 477.63 mg/dl and the sedimentation rate was 3.258,33 mm /hour. Then the results of statistical tests obtained results of 0.001 < 0.05. the conclusion is that there is a relationship between levels of c-reactive protein and levels of erythrocyte sedimentation rate in patients suspected of covid-19 with sufficient correlation criteria.Keywords: Corona virus, CRP levels, LED

Abstract

Pengembangan pestisida hayati (bio-pesticide) yaitu penggunaan mikroba bermanfaat dalam pengendalian hama dan penyakit tanaman pertanian terus dilakukan dalam rangka subtitusi pestisida sintetis yang diketahui banyak menimbulkan dampak negatif. Tujuan jangka panjang penelitian ini mendukung sistem pertanian ramah lingkungan dengan target khusus adalah dihasilkannya produk formulasi pestisida hayati berbasis bakteri penghasil kitinase (bakteri kitinolitik/bakteri pendegradasi kitin). Bakteri kitinolitik diharapkan mampu mengendalikan berbagai jenis patogen dari golongan cendawan dan nematoda karena sebagian besar komponen dinding sel patogen tersebut adalah kitin. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan air kelapa sangat baik digunakan untuk pertumbuhan Pseudomonas Fluorescens dengan memodifikasi pH hingga mencapai pH 7. Air kelapa yang di modifikasikan dengan penambahan kerapatan bakteri Pseudomonas Fluorescens efektif di gunakan sebagai pestisida hayati. Hasil yang paling baik diperoleh pada kerapatan bakteri 3x108 .

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to compare the effectiveness of leaf decoction of antihypertensive herbs commonly used in Indonesia to lower blood pressure. This study used female rats induced hypertension as animal models. In this experimental study, rats were divided into seven experimental groups consisting of four rats for each group. Rats have induced hypertension with a dose of 2.5 mg/kg BW of prednisone and 2.5% NaCl. Hypertension induction for rats was carried out for 14 days, treatment with herbs of leaf decoction (soursop, starfruit, celery, and salam) with a dose of 200 mg/kg BW for 14 days. Rat's blood pressure was measured by the tail-cuff method at 0 days, 14 days, and 28 days. Statistical analysis used was an analysis of variance with ANOVA followed by a comparison between treatments with Dunnet's test. This study showed that all the herbal plants given were able to reduce systolic and diastolic blood pressure in female rats induced by hypertension, especially boiled celery leaves and star fruit leaves with p-value < 0.05.
