Abstract

Buah pakoba merah memiliki kandungan senyawa bioaktif yang dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai antidiabetes. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi senyawa bioaktif ekstrak etanol buah pakoba merah serta uji antidiabetes ekstrak dan fraksi-fraksinya. Identifikasi senyawa bioaktif dilakukan dengan cara maserasi dan pengujian metabolit sekunder serta pemantauan pola pemisahan senyawa dengan kromatografi lapis tipis (KLT). Pengujian antidiabetes dilakukan melalui uji in vivo dengan metode tes toleransi glukosa peroral (TTGO) pada kelompok hewan uji. Hasil identifikasi menunjukkan senyawa bioaktif buah pakoba merah mengandung senyawa alkaloid, terpenoid, steroid, flavonoid, saponin dan tanin. Hasil pemantauan pola pemisahan senyawa menunjukkan pola pemisahan yang hampir sama antara Ekstrak Etanol, Fraksi n-heksan, Fraksi EtOAc dan Fraksi n-Butanol sedangkan Fraksi Air menunjukkan hampir tidak terbentuk pola pemisahan. Hasil uji antidiabetes menunjukkan bahwa ekstrak EtOH, fraksi n-heksana, fraksi EtOAc, fraksi BuOH dan fraksi H2O dengan pembanding glibenklamid memiliki kemampuan sebagai antidiabetes ditinjau dari jumlah selisih penurunan kadar glukosa darah pada kelompok hewan uji dari T30 sampai T150. Penurunan rata-rata kadar glukosa darah kelompok kontrol sebesar 55,67 mg/dL, kelompok GB 116,66 mg/dL, kelompok ekstrak EtOH 100 mg/dL, kelompok fraksi n-heksana 100 mg/dL, kelompok fraksi EtOAc 110 mg/dL, kelompok fraksi BuOH 102,67 mg/dL dan kelompok fraksi H2O 94,33 mg/dL.ABSTRACT Pakoba merah fruit contains bioactive compounds that can be used as antidiabetic. This purpose of the research to identify bioactive compounds of the ethanol extract of pakoba merah fruit as well antidiabetic test of the extract and their fractions. Identification of bioactive compounds was carried out by maceration and secondary metabolite testing as well monitoring pattern separation of compounds using thin layer chromatography (TLC). Antidiabetic testing was carried out through an in vivo test using the oral test tolerance glucose (TTGO) method in the test animal group. The identification results showed that the bioactive compounds of pakoba merah fruit contained alkaloid, terpenoid, steroid, flavonoid, saponin and tannin. The results of monitoring pattern separation of compounds show that separation pattern was almost same between Ethanol Extract, n-hexane Fraction, EtOAc Fraction and n-Butanol Fraction while the H2O Fraction showed almost no separation pattern.The results of the antidiabetic test showed that the EtOH extract, n-hexane fraction, EtOAc fraction, BuOH fraction and H2O fraction with comparisons of glibenclamide had the ability to act as antidiabetic in terms of the difference in the decrease in blood glucose levels in the test animal groups from T30 to T150. The average decrease in blood glucose levels in the control group was 55.67 mg/dL, the GB group was 116.66 mg/dL, EtOH extract group was 100 mg/dL, the n-hexane fraction group was 100 mg/dL, EtOAc fraction group was 110 mg/dL, BuOH fraction group 102.67 mg/dL and H2O fraction group 94.33 mg/dL.

Abstract

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan metode baru untuk mengukur sefiksim dalam buffer fosfat 0,05 M. Pengujian dilakukan dengan menggunakan spektrofotometri UV-Vis Genesys 10S. Akurasi, presisi, LOD & LOQ, linearitas, dan ketahanan metode ini divalidasi. Panjang gelombang sefiksim ditemukan pada 288 nm dengan konsentrasi larutan standar kerja 4-20 g/mL. Hasil validasi menunjukkan koefisien regresi sebesar 0,9981; % RSD akurasi, presisi, dan ketahanan di bawah 2%; LOD 0,843 g/mL; dan LOQ 2.555 g/mL. Kesimpulannya, metode yang dikembangkan dalam penelitian ini akurat, teliti, dan dapat diandalkan. Metode ini divalidasi sesuai pedoman ICH Q2 (R1) untuk akurasi, presisi, batas deteksi, batas kuantisasi, linieritas, dan ketahanan. Kata kunci : Cefixime; Penyangga fosfat; Validasi metode; UV-Vis Spectrophotometric. ABSTRACTThis study aim to develop a new method for measuring cefixime in 0.05 M phosphate buffer. The assay was performed using UV-Vis spectrophotometry Genesys 10S. The accuracy, precision, LOD & LOQ, linearity, and robustness of this method were validated. The wavelength of cefixime was found at 288 nm with a working standard solution concentration of 4-20 μg/mL. The validation results show a regression coefficient of 0.9981; % RSD of accuracy, precision, and robustness are below 2%; LOD 0.843 μg/mL; and LOQ 2,555 μg/mL. In conclusion, the method developed in this study is accurate, thorough, and reliable. The method was validated as per ICH Q2 (R1) guideline for accuracy, precision, detection limit, quantitation limit, linearity, and robustness. Keywords : Cefixime; Phosphate Buffer; Method Validation; UV-Vis Spectrophotometric.

Abstract

Cayenne pepper (Capsicum frutescens L.) is a plant that has many benefits, one of which is as an anti-inflammatory. The anti-inflammatory effect of cayenne pepper was tested on white rats in the form of a gel. Two gel formulas were used with different concentrations of propylene glycol as additive, 25% and 30%, respectively. White rats were grouped into 4 groups, negative control group (gel base), positive control group (Voltaren® Emulgel), gel formula 1 group (enhancer 25%), and gel formula 2 (enhancer 30%). Albumen was induced on the backs of white rats then samples were given. Skinfold thickness measurements were taken every 1 hour for 6 hours. The data obtained in the form of skin thickness values ​​(mm). The % Inflammation Inhibition (% PI) was calculated for each sample. Formula 1 and Formula 2 gave %PI of 32.58 ± 1.80 and 40.75 ± 5.71, respectively. Both formulas had an anti-inflammatory effect against edema on the back of rats although not better than Voltaren® Emulgel. Based on One Way ANOVA test, Formula 2 has a better anti-inflammatory effect than Formula 1. LSD test results show that %PI Formula 2 is similar to %PI Voltaren® Emulgel with a significance value of 0.117 (>0.05).

Abstract

Cork Fish (Channa striata) is used for traditional medicine and is one of the economically important fish in Indonesia so that it contains protein and albumin which are important for health. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of effectiveness of the snakehead fish extract ointment on the healing of burns in rabbits (Oryctolagus cuniculus). Then burns in rabbits were observed for up to 11 days. The data analysis used was using the Independent Sample t-test with the help of Microsoft Excel. Based on the results of the research formula one can be the t value count 4,666 and the table t value 2,085 and the second formula obtained is the t value count of 2,185 and the table t value of 2,085 according totheresearch hypothesis is accept H1 then formula one dan formula two have an influence in the process of healing burns in rabbits (Oryctolagus cuniculus).

Abstract

Rosella (Hibiscus sabdariffal L.) contains anthocyanins which can be used as natural dyes and at the same time as an antioxidant that functions as an antidote to free radicals. The aim of this research was to formulate and test the physical characteristics of the blush on cream preparation from the essence of Rosella (Hibiscus sabdariffa L.) as a natural dye. This type of research is an experiment in the laboratory. The extract of Rosella calis flower is crushed and the filtrate is taken by extracting it. The extract is made into blush on cream preparations with a concentration of 20%, 40% and 60%. The organoleptic test results of blush on cream on the control were soft textured, white, smelled like cream, soft-textured F1, ivory white, Rosella flower-like smell, soft-textured F2, light cream colored, Roselle flower-like smell, and F3 small granular texture pink color, distinctive smell of Rosella flower, homogeneity test on homogeneous control, homogeneous F1, homogeneous F2, and not homogeneous F3, control pH test values: 6, F1: 6, F2: 6, F3: 4, control spreadability test: 6 , 3 cm, F1: 5.7 cm, F2: 5 cm, F3: 4.5 cm, control adhesion test: 4.42 seconds, F1: 4.21 seconds, F2: 4.19 seconds, F3: 4.12 seconds and emulsion type test on control: M / A, F1: M / A, F2 M / A, F3: M / A. The formulation and physical characteristics test of blush cream from the extract of Rosella flower petals (Hibiscus sabdariffa L.) cannot be formulated as a blush cream preparation and does not have good characteristics, one of which is the exposure to light and heating during the formulation.

Abstract

Bintaro (Cerbera manghas L.) is widely used as an analgesic, anticonvulsant, cardiotonic, and hypotensive activity. In Thailand bintaro is used as traditional medicine such as bark used as an antipyretic, laxative and in the treatment of dysuria. The flower part is applied to treat hemorrhoids. Secondary metabolites are chemical compounds contained in plants that can be drawn by a suitable solvent through extraction methods. The purpose of this study was to determine the content of secondary metabolites contained in bintaro leaf extract using ethanol, acetone, and n-Hexan solvents based on phytochemical screening. This research was carried out through two stages, namely extraction using maceration method using ethanol, acetone, n-Hexan and phytochemical screening solvents consisting of screening alkaloids, terpenoids, flavonoids, steroids, saponins, and tannins. The results showed that the bintaro leaf ethanol extract positively contained flavonoids, saponins, and tannins. The acetone extract of bintaro leaves positively contains, saponins and tannins. N-hexan daun bintaro extract positively contained steroids and alkaloids in testing with Dragendorft reagents, and was positive for Wagner reagents and negative for testing with Mayer reagents

Abstract

Turi (Sesbania grandiflora L) is native to Southeast Asia. This plant is used as a medicinal plant and also a vegetable. Turi (Sesbania grandiflora L) is a plant that is efficacious for the treatment of various diseases such as analgesic, antipyretic, diuretic and laxative. The purpose of this study was to identify the content of secondary metabolites in turi leaf extract extracted with ethanol, ethyl acetate and n-hexane as solvents. This research was conducted in two stages, namely extraction by maceration method using ethanol, ethyl acetate and n-hexane as solvents. And the identification stage of secondary metabolites consisting of identification of alkaloids, steroids, terpenoids, saponins and flavonoids. The results showed that the positive ethanol and ethyl acetate extracts contained flavonoids, saponins, terpenoids and steroids, while the negative n-hexane extract contained secondary metabolites.

Abstract

Ternate Tanjung adalah Kelurahan yang teletak di Kecamatan Singkil Kota Manado. Bagian utara berbatasan dengan Kelurahan Kombos Barat dan Timur, bagian barat berbatasan dengan kelurahan Ternate Baru dan Dendengan Luar Lingkungan III, bagian timur berbatasan dengan Keluarahan Pall Dua Lingkungan III dan bagian selatan berbatasan dengan Pall Dua Lingkungan II dan Kelurahan Dendengan Luar Lingkungan I. Berdasarkan hasil pendataan yang didapat dari pembagian kuisioner kepada 125 keluarga atau 25% dari total keluarga yang ada di kelurahan Ternate Tanjung. Salah satu masalah kesehatan dalam kurun waktu satu tahun terakhir dengan pesentasi tertinggi yang dialami oleh adalah hipertensi atau tekanan darah tinggi yang mencapai 8,1 % dimana dari pendataan masalah kesehatan ini merupakan penyakit riwayat keturunan. Tujuan dilakukannya kegiatan pengabdian ini untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan masyarakat Kelurahan Ternate Tanjung dalam mengolah dan memanfaatkan tanaman yang memiliki potensi untuk penyakit khususnya teknik pembuatan jamu saintifik hipertensi. Metode yang digunakan meliputi pemaparan materi, tanya jawab, dan praktik langsung kepada masyarakat. Kegiatan pelatihan terlaksana dengan baik dan mendapatkan respon yang antusias dari pererintah dan khususnya dari masyarkat serta berharap pelatihan seperti ini dapat dilakukan kembali dikemudian hari.

Abstract

Desa Bulutui adalah desa yang teletak di Kecamatan Likupang Barat Kabupaten Minahasa Utara yang sebagian besar masyarakatnya memiliki profesi nelayan. Berdasarkan hasil pendataan yang didapat dari pembagian kuisioner PIS-PK kepada 52 keluarga atau 25% dari total keluarga yang ada di desa Bulutui, salah satu masalah kesehatan dengan pesentasi tertinggi yang dialami oleh masyarakat di desa Bulutui adalah hipertensi atau tekanan darah tinggi yang mencapai 84 %. Tujuan dilakukannya kegiatan pengabdian ini untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan masyarakat desa Bulutui dalam mengolah dan memanfaatkan tanaman yang memiliki potensi untuk penyakit khususnya teknik pembuatan jamu saintifik hipertensi. Metode yang digunakan meliputi pemaparan materi, tanya jawab, dan praktik langsung kepada masyarakat. Kegiatan pelatihan terlaksana dengan baik dan mendapatkan respon yang antusias dari pererintah dan khususnya dari masyarkat serta berharap pelatihan seperti ini dapat dilakukan kembali dikemudian hari.
