Abstract

The purpose of this study was to improve student learning outcomes in elementary thematic learning subjects using the mind mapping method. The hypothesis of action research is that if the mind mapping method is used it can improve the learning outcomes of sixth semester students in elementary thematic learning subjects. This research is classroom action research. The design of this research is based on Kemmis and Taggart using a spiral system. Each cycle consists of planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The results of this study were seen from the increase in student learning outcomes in the first cycle, which was 70.80% and the increase in the second cycle changed to 90.25%. Based on the results of the observational analysis, there was an increase in the learning process, from 80% of the descriptors that were implemented to 95% of the descriptors that were implemented. Based on the data above, it can be concluded that the mind mapping method can improve student learning outcomes in elementary thematic learning subjects.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the different levels of motivation of the third semester PGSD students in the Elementary School Learning Strategy course. There are still students who pay less attention during group discussions, talking to friends, looking for other activities during learning and so on. The formulation of the problem in this study is whether there is a positive and significant relationship between learning motivation and learning outcomes of PGSD Semester III students at Karimun University in the SD learning strategy course. This study aims to determine whether there is a positive and significant relationship between learning motivation and learning outcomes of PGSD Semester III students at Karimun University in the SD learning strategy course. This type of research is correlational research. The population in this study were all third semester students of PGSD. The data collection technique used in this research is using observation and questionnaires (questionnaire). The results showed that there was a significant relationship between learning motivation and learning outcomes of PGSD Semester III students at Karimun University in the SD learning strategy course. Because the correlation coefficient is 0.619 > r table 0.3202, the calculation uses product moment correlation analysis, and the significance price is 0.000 <0.05. From the results of the correlation calculation, it is obtained that r count is 0.619 which indicates there is a moderate relationship between learning motivation and learning outcomes of PGSD Semester III students at Karimun University in the SD learning strategy course.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the science learning outcomes of class 4A students. This research was conducted in October 2022. Researchers applied the discovery learning model to improve student learning outcomes. Learning improvement research was carried out in two cycles. The discovery learning model is a discovery learning model which is a learning method that directs students to learn, explore, discover, and develop their own theories and concepts according to their own abilities but still under the supervision of the teacher. In the pre-cycle, the science learning outcomes of students in class IVA were still low because only 43% of students achieved KKM scores. In the first cycle learning outcomes table, it shows an increase, namely 50% of students can achieve KKM scores. Furthermore, the learning outcomes of cycle II also showed an increase when compared to cycle I. In cycle II, 93.75% of students were able to achieve a completeness score. So, it can be concluded that the discovery learning model assisted by concrete object media can improve students' science learning outcomes. Key words: discovery learning, Concrete Objects, Learning Outcomes
