Abstract

The purpose of the study is to find out the lived experiences of seven purposively chosen plants (planters) on plants gardening in time of the pandemic. The study was conducted in Sitio Lasang, Koronadal City. On the participants’ involvement in plants gardening in times of pandemic, it was found out that because of the lockdown, they make themselves busy by involving in plant gardening. On how they develop their gardens, the participants revealed that they propagate plants from their collections, being purchased, and through barter. On why they chose plants’ gardening in time of the pandemic, the participants revealed that they chose to plant because of leisure time and the safety and security of the family against the pandemic. In terms of benefits of plant gardening amidst pandemic to the plants, it is found out that plants’ gardening aside from economic support, serves them as a stress reliever. Furthermore, on the effects of plants’ gardening, it was found out that gardening serves as a workout and alternative means of doing something good while in the home.

Abstract

The study was conducted to determine the views of farmers in the implementation of the rice tariffication policy. This qualitative study was conducted with 15 participants from the three barangays of the municipality of Norala South Cotabato, the Philippines using purposive sampling. On the awareness of farmers on rice tariffication law (RTL), it was found out that most of the farmers are aware of the implementation of RTL particularly through their access to social media such as radio and televisions, Facebook, and other online sources. On the views of farmers on RTL, it was found out that the majority of the farmers believe that their economic situations are being affected such as inflation, loss of profit, and failure of the harvest. On the issues encountered in the implementation of RTL, the following are found out: (1) continuous inflation rate in commodities and other basic needs, (2) high pricing fertilizer and pesticides, and (3) decrease in the yields of crop production.

Abstract

The study on the Psychological Effects of Blended Learning among the Faculty of Sultan Kudarat State University was conducted to determine the blended learning and its psychological effects on the teachers. The result shows that modular learning is satisfactorily implemented while online learning is moderately implemented. When it comes to the psychological effects of blended learning in terms of teachers’ anxiety, the teachers are moderately experiencing it and in terms of teachers’ distress and boredom, the teachers are seldom experiencing it. The top 5 issues and concerns on blended learning are also asked.

Abstract

The study was performed to determine the actual implementation of the work immersion in Sultan Kudarat State University Laboratory High School and assessed its help in the social development of Senior High School graduates. The respondents are SHS graduates of the academic year 2018, 2019, and 2020. The result of the effectiveness of work immersion on the social development of senior high school graduates is perceived as highly effective in terms of leadership skills, self-efficacy, and communication skills. Based on the analyzed result, there was a correlation and relationship between work immersion and its effects on the social development of graduates. The result also showed that the respondents did not encounter negative issues or concerns about its implementation.
