Abstract

The in vitro effect of gossypol on the small intestinal contractility of Swiss Webster mice have been examined. Thirty six sexually mature male mice with body weights of 30,5-36,5 g. were used and the tested concentrations of gossypol were 5, 7.5, and 10 ppm. Segments of the small intestine such as: duodenum, jejunum and ileum were isolated and immersed in Tyrode solution at 37 oC. The contractions of these organs were measured and recorded using a myograph and physiograph. As control, the contractions of these organs were recorded in Tyrode solution for 360 seconds. The solution was then replaced by gossypol-Tyrode solution and the contractions were recorded again for the next 360 seconds. The results showed that gossypol increased shortly and followed by gradual decreases of tension in all small intestinal segments. Gossypol also lowered the frequency of the intestinal contractions when compared with control. The strongest action of gossypol was found when the intestines were treated in 10 ppm, compared to the action of those treated with 7.5 ppm and 5 ppm. It is assumed that gossypol impaired peristaltic movements of the intestines and thus decreased digestibility of mice.

Abstract

Corruption is one of society's disorientation and is in the same state as other types of crimes such as theft, which has existed since the human are living as society. The problem is that the corruption is increasing in line with prosperity and technological advancement. In fact, when a nation is advancing in its development, it encourages people to have more need so that they will engage in corruption. Based on these descriptions, in the preparation of this paper the authors will describe, how corruption criminal sanctions with values of justice? In this study, the author applies qualitative research methods, constructive approach, and also applies primary data and secondary data. The techniques of observation and in-depth interviews with key informants are applied for collecting primary data. Last, data analysis technique is applied to the primary data. Corruption prevention policies do not give deterrent effect to the corruptor. The investigation and prosecution policy in cases of corruption, supposedly having orientation for reimbursing the state and also aiming deterrent effect by providing severe criminal sanctions. No arrest for suspect of corruption (although the state has been paying losses) is reducing the deterrent effect or even not all. For the sake of justice, the judge should see Article 5 of Law No. 48 of 2009, it is clear that the reconstruction of criminal responsibility and accountability of the administration are related to the values of justice, the values of divinity and legal values that live in the community (the living law) so we need to develop justice characterized by Indonesia, which is “justice of Pancasila”, which implies “justice of deity,” “fairness humane (humanistic)”, “justice that is democratic, nationalistic, and social justice”. Abstract

The result of science literacy in Indonesian students has been satisfactorily yet. The government has introduced some new learning strategies. The research is aimed to finding some learning strategies can improved literacy science.  The research was conducted in Indonesian school involving 213 participants who are divided into study groups using several learning strategies. Research involved all student on 10 th grade in that school. Improvement of science literacy was analyzed by N-gain and  comparing some strategies of learning was analyzed by Anova followed Turkey. The results shows the impovement of science literacy in the learning by using scientific approach was not as good as inquiry approach, Argument Driven Inquiry (ADI), and Science Technology Education Matematics (STEM).  The results of science literacy finding the improvement in science literacy of students who learn by using scientific approach comparing using scientific approach is similar to the one using Science Technology Scociety (STS) strategy.

Abstract

Abstract Graduation standard of Indonesia senior high school hopes the students show their logical, crithical, creative, and inovative thinking skill in making decision. The study aimed to find out difference of crithical thinking between students taught with Problem Based Learning (PBL) method and Society Technology Science (STM) in the concept of virus. The subject are 64 students grade X of SMAN 11 South Tangerang City. Method used was quasy experiment with non-equivalent control group design. Sample were taken by simple random technique sampling. Instruments used was free analysis essay test. The result of postest percentage in both of class shows that (PBL) is better in giving the simple explanation and constructing the basic skill aspect, while STM model is better in giving further explaination aspect. In addition, the posttetest result was analyzed by t-test. The result gained was t-count is 2,79 and t-table with the significant of 5% is 1,99. It shows that there is a difference in in chritical thinking between students taught with PBL method and STM in the concept of virus. Keywords: quasi experiment; problem based learning; society tecnology science; chritical thinking skill Abstrak Standar kelulusan SMA di Indonesia mengharapkan seorang siswa menunjukan kemampuan berpikir logis, kritis, kreatif, dan inovatif dalam pengambilan keputusan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa yang diajar dengan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning dan Sains Teknologi Masyarakat pada konsep Virus. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa SMA Negeri 11 Kota Tangerang Selatan kelas X yang berjumlah 64 siswa. Tipe Penelitian kuasi eksperimen dengan desain non-equivalent control group. Sampel ditentukan dengan teknik simple random sampling dengan diberikan instrumen berupa tes essay uraian bebas sebagai pengumpul data. Hasil menunjukan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning lebih baik pada aspek Memberikan Penjelasan Sederhana dan Membangun Keterampilan Dasar. Aspek kritis pada Menjelaskan Lebih Lanjut lebih baik di model pembelajaran Sains Teknologi Masyarakat. Analisis hasil menggunakan uji-t menunjukkan nilai t-hitung sebesar 2,79 lebih besar dari t-tabel sebesar 1,99 pada taraf signifikasi 5%. Dengan demikian keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa yang diajar dengan model pembelajaran PBL berbeda dengan STM pada konsep Virus. Abstract

Ethnobotany is one of science that studies the relationship between botany (plants) associated with ethnic (community groups). This research gets Etnobotani's Study title Kaili's Tribe Par at Silvan Binangga Parigi's district Intermediates Parigi Moutong's regency at Intermediate Sulawesi. This research used survey method through the exploration in the field. Data collection of plant species conducted by in depth interview conducted by interviews and open-ended interview. Data analysis used the cultural significance index (ICS) and the percentage of plant use. Based on these studies found that plants used as food by 44 species, 15 types of spices, drugs 43 types, 4 types of animal feed, customs and religious rituals 13 species, 12 kinds of decoration, coloring and aromatic 7 types, 11 types of fuel and for building materials and furnishings as much as 7 types. Key words: Ethnobotany, useful plants, ICS, Binangga village.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji penggunaan pendekatan inkuiri di beberapa Madrasah Aliyah (MA) di Jakarta Seletan.  Survei dilakukan pada lima Madrasah Aliyah Negeri (MAN) dan satu Madarasah Aliyah Swasta (MAS).  Data penelitian dijaring melalui kuisioner pada 6 guru dan 617 siswa, observasi pada saat pelaksanaan praktikum, dan analisis dokumen rencana pembelajaran.  Hasil penelitian menunjukan MA di Jakarta Selatan sudah menerapkan inkuiri, sebagian besar menerapkan pendekatan inkuiri terstruktur.  Hanya sedikit yang telah menerapkan inkuiri terbimbing.  Kebanyakan guru menerapkan telah komponen inkuiri melaksanakan penelitian, mengumpulkan data, menganalisis data, dan membuat kesimpulan.  Kata Kunci : Pendekatan Inkuiri, Pembelajaran Biologi, Inkuiri Terbimbing dan Terstruktur.

Abstract

Gampong Kuala Langsa memproduksi Sirup Mangrove yang merupakan hasil home industry dan memiliki izin produksi dan sedang mendaftarkan produknya untuk di patenkan.Namun terdapat pihak memproduksi Sirup Mangrove, pihak tersebut meniru kualitas dan rasa dari sirup mangrove yang di produksi oleh Kelompok Pengrajin Kuala Maju. Pihak tersebut menggunakan merek yang sama. hal ini tentu tidak sesuai dengan ketentuan yang berlaku.Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui Peran Dinas Lingkungan dan Dinas Kehutanan dalam pelestarian hutan lindung. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metodde empiris pendekatan yuridis sosialis.Perlindungan Hukum terhadap pemilik produk yang ditiru terhadap merek dagang terdaftar mutlak diberikan oleh pemerintah kepada pemegang dan pemakai hak atas merek untuk menjamin kepastian berusaha bagi produsen, yaitu untuk menyelesaikan atau menanggulangi suatu peristiwa pelanggaran hak atas merek.maka dekenakan sanksi yang tegas dan harus dilaksanakan aparat penegak hukum.Hambatan yaitu produsen tidak mengganggap penting bahwa mendaftarkan merek itu harus atau tidak. Upayanya yaitu mendaftarkan produknya ke Direktorat Jendral Kekayaan Intelektual. Kepada seluruh produsen agar mengikuti perkembangan hukum yaitu membuat tindakan nyata yang bertujuan memberdayakan konsumen, meningkatkan pemahaman atas hak dan kewajiban dengan meningkatkan kesaradaran, kemampuan, dan perlindungan konsumen

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana pandangan masyarakat mengenai konflik Lonsum yang terjadi di Kabupaten Bulukumba hingga saat ini, sekaligus ingin mengetahui apa yang menjadi tuntutan masyarakat. Penelitian ini berlokasi di Desa Tamatto, Kecamatan Ujung Loe, Kabupaten Bulukumba. Penelitian ini  menggunakan metode kualitatif-deskriptif dan pengumpulan datanya menggunakan teknik wawancara dan dokumentasi. Hasil dari penelitian ini yakni masyarakat Desa Tamatto terbagi menjadi dua kelompok, ada masyarakat yang pro dan kontra terhadap konflik Lonsum.

Abstract

Tulisan ini memaparkan temuan survei terkait persepsi mahasiswa FKIK UIN Alauddin Makassar tentang moderasi beragama sekaligus melacak sejauhmana potensi radikalisme tumbuh di lingkungan UIN Alauddin Makassar. Kesimpulannya bahwa sebagian besar mahasiswa memperoleh informasi mengenai radikalisme bukan dari kampus, namun informasi tersebut dapat disaring dengan pembuktian bahwa sebagian besar tidak ingin melakukan kekerasan karena dianggap dapat merusak citra Islam. Namun demikian, sebagian kecilnya masih menyimpan potensi radikalisme karena untuk kriteria pemimpin dan konsep negara ideal menginginkan sistem khilafah yang dipimpin oleh khalifah.

Abstract

Abstract The used of the jigsaw-type cooperative learning model can improve the cognitive learning outcomes of students, especially on ionic equilibrium material in salt solution. This study aims to improve students' cognitive chemistry learning outcomes on ion equilibrium in salt solution by applying the jigsaw-type cooperative learning model. This research is a classroom action research with the Kemmis and MC models. Taggart, which included the stages of planning, implementing, observing / collecting data and reflecting, which were carried out in 2 (two) cycles. This research was conducted in class XI IPA at public high school Christian YABT Manokwari with a sample of 17 students. The data collection techniques used were tests and observation sheets. The results showed that the increase in the average value of learning outcomes chemistry from cycle I was 56.18 with classical completeness of 29% to 85.29 with classical completeness of 82% in cycle II. The results of observations on learning using the jigsaw type cooperative model have good responses from students. This proves that the type of jigsaw cooperative learning has a positive impact on students in the teaching and learning process. Keywords : Jigsaw Model, learning outcomes cognitive, Ion Balance,  Salt Solution
