Abstract

Program DU(tch)FLOW versi 2.0 adalah salah satu software aplikasi keairan untuk mengsimulasikan model aliran air permanent (steady flow) dan tidak permanen (unsteady flow), serta proses kualitas air dalam sistem aliran satu dimensi pada saluran terbuka. Program DUFLOW dikembangkan oleh lembaga pemerintah dan pendidikan Netherlands. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk melakukan pengujian secara analitis kinerja program dalam: (1) hukum kontinuitas, (2) gradually varied flow, (3) aliran melalui bangunan pengontrol (ambang dan pintu air), dan (4) unsteady flow. Metode penelitian menggunakan rancangan deskriptif evaluatif. Sampel diambil dari model contoh kasus hidraulika pada literatur-literatur hidraulika yang diselesaikan secara analitis. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa software DUFLOW versi 2.0 memberikan hasil kinerja yang cukup baik dibandingkan terhadap hasil perhitungan analitis.

Abstract

AbstractAny educational process implied by contextual teaching and learning(CTL) aims at helping students comprehension of the academic materials they are studying by connecting academic subjects with the contexts of their daily life. The present article is based on a research which developed a set of instructional materials to help teachers and their students achieve that aim.The instructional materials developed were adapted from a model submitted by Thiaragajan et al., which includes the steps of defining, designing, and developing. Assessment of the materials was done through experts judgment on and teachers and students responses to the materials. The final revised set of the materials were tried out at a state junior high school, SMPN 23, in Surabaya. During the try-out, teachers and students activities were observed and quantitatively and qualitatively analyzed.The results of the research show that the instructional materials (1) have the characteristics of (a) connecting the subject matter with daily life, (b) having been developed with attention paid to students learning styles, (c) developing higher-order thinking, (d) reflecting interest in students prior knowledge, (e) supporting the shaping of democratic and interactive learning situations, (f) providing teachers with more ease in their work, and (g) making more students like studying physics and (2) can help students achieve mastery learning.Key words: CTL, instructional materials for CTL

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini menghasilkan model penskoran politomus untuk respons butir multiple true-false, sehingga dapat mengestimasi secara lebih akurat kemampuan di bidang fisika. Pengembangan penskoran menggunakan Four-D model dan diuji akurasinya melalui penelitian empiris dan simulasi. Penelitian empiris menggunakan 15 butir multiple true-false yang diambil dari soal UMPTN tahun 1996-2006 dan dikenakan pada 410 mahasiswa baru FMIPA Universitas Negeri Surabaya angkatan tahun 2007. Respons peserta tes diskor dengan tiga model partial credit (PCM I; II; dan III) dan secara dikotomus. Hasil penskoran dianalisis dengan program Quest untuk mendapat-kan estimasi tingkat kesukaran butir (δ) dan estimasi ke-mampuan peserta (θ) untuk menentukan nilai fungsi informasi tes dan kesalahan baku estimasi. Penelitian simulasi mengguna-kan data bangkitan berdasarkan parameter empiris (δ dan θ) memakai program statistik SAS dan akurasi estimasinya di-analisis dengan metode root mean squared error (RMSE). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan: (i) Penskoran PCM dengan pem-bobotan mampu mengestimasi kemampuan lebih akurat di-bandingkan tanpa pembobotan maupun secara dikotomus; (ii) Semakin banyak jumlah kategori dalam penskoran partial credit, semakin akurat. Kata kunci: model penskoran partial credit, butir multiple true-false ____________________________________________________________THE PARTIAL CREDIT SCORING MODEL FOR THE MULTIPLE TRUE-FALSE BUTIRS IN PHYSICS Abstract This study is an attempt to overcome the weaknesses. This study aims to produce a polytomous scoring model for responses to multiple true-false butirs in order to get a more accurate estimation of abilities in physics. It adopts the Four-D model and its accuracy is assessed through empirical and simulation studies. The empirical study employed 15 multiple true-false butirs taken from the New Students Entrance Test of State University the year of 1996–2006. It administered to 410 new students enrolled in 2007 of Faculty of Mathematics and Science of Surabaya State University. The testees’ responses were scored using the partial credit model (PCM) I; II; and III and also dichotomously scored. The results of the four scoring models were analyzed using the Quest program to obtain the estimation of the butir difficulty level (δ) and that of the testees’ abilities (θ). The generating of the simulation data used the SAS statistical program and the estimation accuracy was analyzed by using the root mean squared error (RMSE) method. The results of the study show the following: (i) The scoring with the partial credit model with weighting is capable of estimating abilities more accurate than without weighting and dichotomous scoring; (ii) The more the number of the categories in the partial credit scoring is, the more accurate the result of the ability estimation.Keywords: partial credit model scoring, multiple true-false butir

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to produce a Physics learning materials using Problem Based Instruction (PBI) model, which is valid, practical, and effective to Train creativity of student. This research is conducted through three phases from 4-D model, those are define, design, and develop. That instrument is tried out in XI grade Vocation High School of Senopati Sedati Sidoarjo academic year 2016/2017 with one group pretest-post test design. The learning instruments developed include: (a) syllabus, (b) Lesson Plan, (c) handout, (d) Work Sheet, (e) Assessment Sheet of creativity. Research variabels which can be measured are validity, practicality, and effectiveness of learning instrument. Data are collected using validity method, observation, test, questionnaires. Data are analyzed quantitatively descriptive and qualitatively. Research data shows that (a) developed learning instrument is categorized valid, (b) Learning process was going well, (c) training of student creativity produces increase on middle category, and (d) student gives positive feedback to learning had done. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan kelayakan perangkat pembelajaran model guided inquiry untuk menurunkan miskonsepsi siswa MAN Bangkalan pada materi optik menggunakan model pengembangan Borg and Gall. Perangkat pembelajaran berupa Silabus, RPP, Buku Ajar Siswa, LKS, dan Lembar Penilaian Hasil pengembangan perangkat divalidasi oleh 5 orang validator. Uji coba perangkat menggunakan one grup pretes posttest design pada kelas XI MIPA 3 dan kelas XI MIPA 4 MAN Bangkalan. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah deskriptif teknik inferensial Kruskal Wallis dan Wilcoxons Sign Rank Test. Hasil penelitian berupa: (1) Validitas perangkat yang dikembangkan dinyatakan sangat valid berdasarkan skor yang diperoleh dari validator, (2) Kepraktisan perangkat yang dikembangkan ditinjau dari aspek keterlaksanaan perangkat dan aspek aktivitas siswa yang berkategori baik berdasarkan skor yang diperoleh dari pengamat, dan (3) Efektivitas perangkat yang dikembangkan ditinjau dari dampak penurunan beban miskonsepsi siswa kelas XI MIPA 3 awalnya 57% menjadi 3% dan siswa kelas XI MIPA 4 awalnya 53% menjadi 3%.
