Abstract

ABSTRAK Pakoba sebagai tanaman endemik Sulawesi Utara yang mempunyai manfaat secara etnomedikal dalam mengobati batu ginjal. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui gambaran histopatologi ginjal yang diiduksi etilen glikol dengan pemberian ekstrak etanol kulit batang pakoba. Tikus putih jantan dewasa (n= 20) dengan berat rata-rata 150-200 gram dibagi menjadi 4 kelompok perlakuan. Kelompok pertama sebagai kontrol normal dengan pemberian aquadest, kelompok kedua diberikan etilen glikol 0,75%, kelompok ketiga dan keempat diberi etilen glikol 0,75 % dan ekstrak etanol kulit batang pakoba 150 mg/kg BB dan 300mg/kg BB. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan gambaran histopalogi ginjal dengan pemberian ekstrak etanol kulit batang pakoba 150 mg/kg BB dan 300 mg/kg BB dapat memperbaiki ginjal tikus yang mengalami kerusakan akibat pemberian etilen glikol. Dosis 300 mg/kg BB lebih baik dalam memperbaiki ginjal dibandingkan dengan dosis 150 mg/kg BB.  ABSTRACT Pakoba as a North Sulawesi endemic plant that has ethnomedical benefits in treating kidney stones. The purpose of this research was to investigate the histopathology of  kidney rats induced ethylene glycol by administration of bark ethanol extract of pakoba. Adult male rats (n = 20) with an average weight of 150-200 grams divided into 4 treatment groups. The first group as normal control with aqueous, the second group was given 0.75% ethylene glycol, the third and fourth groups were given 0,75% ethylene glycol and 150 mg/kg BW and 300 mg/kg BW bark ethanol extract of bark. The results showed renal histopatogy  with the ethanol extract of pakoba steam bark 150 mg/kg BW and 300 mg/kg BW can repair the renal kidney damaged due to ethylene glycol induced. Dose 300 mg/kg BW better in repairing kidney compared with dose 150 mg/kg BB.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui efek antidiabetes ekstrak kulit buah manggis pada tikus putih jantan galur wistar (Rattusnorvegicus) yang diinduksi aloksan yang diberikan secara intreperitoneal dan membandingkan efektivitasnya dengan glibenklamid. Penelitian ini menggunakan 5 kelompok perlakuan yaitu pemberian aquadest sebagai kontrol normal, pemberian aloksan sebagai kontrol negatif, pemberian aloksan dan glibenklamid sebagai kontrol positif dan ekstrak etanol kulit buah manggis dengan dosis 150 mg/kg BB dan 300 mg/kg BB. Pengukuran glukosa darah dilakukan pada hari ke-0 (tiga hari sesudah di induksi), hari ke-7 dan hari ke-14. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian ekstrak etanol kulit buah manggis (Gracinia mangostana) dapat menurunkan kadar glukosa darah. Dosis 150 mg/kg BB memiliki presentase penurunan kadar glukosa darah pada hari ke 7 dan hari ke 14 masing-masing sebesar 64,68% dan 81,46%. Dosis 300 mg/kg BB memiliki presentase penurunan kadar glukosa darah pada hari ke 7 dan hari ke 14 masing-masing sebesar 35.77% dan 76.75%. Dosis 150 mg/kg BB lebih efektif sebagai antidiabetes dibandingkan dengan dosis 300 mg/Kg BB. Pemberian ekstrak etanol kulit buah manggis (Gracinia mangostana) juga memiliki aktivitas untuk memperbaiki kerusakan sel-sel β-pankreas pada tikus putih (Rattus norvegicus) yang diinduksi aloksan. ABSTRACT The purpose of this study to determine the anti-diabetic effect of mangosteen rind extract of galur wistar male rats (Rattus norvegicus)  induced alloxan given intraperitoneally and comparing its effectiveness with glibenclamide. This study uses 5 groups namely giving aquadest as normal control, giving alloxan as a negative control, giving alloxan and glibenclamide as a positive control and the ethanol extract of mangosteen rind with a dose of 150 mg/kg BB and 300 mg/kg BB. Blood glucose measurement performed on day 0 ( three days after induction ), day 7, and day 14. The results showed that ethanol extract of mangosteen (Garcinia mangostana L) rind can lower blood glucose levekls. A dose of 150 mg/kg BB have percentage decrease in blood glucose levels on day 7 and day 14 respectively by 64.68% and 81.46%. dose of 300 mg/kg BB have a percentage decrease in blood glucose levels on day 7 and day 14 respectively by 35.77% and 76.75%. a dose of 150 mg/kg BB is more effective as an anti-diabetic compared with a dose of 300 mg/kg BB. Ethanol extract mangosteen (Garcinia mangostana L) rind also has an activity to repair damaged pancreatic-β cells in rats (Rattus norvegicus) induced by alloxan.

Abstract

Pakoba merupakan tanaman endemik Sulawesi Utara yang dimanfaat secara etnomedikal untuk mengobati pengobatan diabetes, ramuan obat setelah melahirkan, obat sakit ginjal dan sakit perut. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui tingkat toksisitas akut oral menggunakan tikus putih dan toksisitas secara in vitro metode Brine Shrimp Lethality Test (BSLT) ekstrak etanol kulit batang pakoba (EEKBP). Hasil dari pengujian toksisitas metode BLST, EEKBP memiliki nilai LC50 = 380.19 ppm dan hasil uji toksisitas akut EEKBP dengan dosis 1.000, 5.000, 10.000, dan 15.000 ppm tidak menimbulkan gejala toksik dan kematian pada hewan uji. Perlu ada penelitian lanjut mengenai Fraksinasi EEKBP dilanjutkan dengan pengujian toksisitas metode BSLT dan aktivitas biologis dari masing-masing hasil fraksinasi.

Abstract

Abstrak: Pengembangan Mobile Learning Berbasis Android Pada Mata Kuliah Strategi Pembelajaran Universitas Baturaja Penelitian ini menerapkan flipped classroom (FC) pada perkuliahan kalkulus untuk menyelidiki pengaruhnya terhadap hasil belajar dan motivasi mahasiswa. Google Classroom (GC) digunakan untuk sesi luar kelas dan video tutorial digunakan sebagai media penyampaian seluruh materi. Penelitian ini berbentuk eksperimen kepada sampel 42 mahasiswa dari program studi Farmasi, dan Teknik Geologi di Universitas Prisma, terdiri atas dua kelas yakni kelas eksperimen dengan perlakuan penelitian dan kelas kontrol yang melaksanakan perkuliahan konvensional. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan tes tertulis untuk mengukur hasil belajar dan kuesioner untuk mengukur skor motivasi. Desain penelitian menggunakan post-test only control group design. Uji statistik t dua sampel dan uji t berpasangan digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan ada pengaruh positif penerapan flipped classroom menggunakan Google Classroom (FC-GC) berbahan ajar video tutorial terhadap hasil belajar dan motivasi mahasiswa pada perkuliahan kalkulus.Abstract: This study applied flipped classroom (FC) in Calculus lectures to investigate its effect to students’ learning achievement and motivation. Google Classroom (GC) was used for out-class sessions and tutorial videos were used to deliver the materials. An experiment was conducted toward a sample of 42 students of Universitas Prisma on Pharmacy, Architecture, and Technical Geology Department, which was consisted of two groups; (1) experiment group with the treatment of this study and (2) control group with conventional lectures. The instruments were written test as post-test to measure the learning achievement and questionnaire to measure the motivation score. Statistics test of 2-sample t and paired t were used in this study. The results showed that there was a positive effect of flipped classroom using Goggle classroom (FC-GC) with tutorial videos toward students’ learning achievement and their motivation in calculus lectures.

Abstract

Flipped classroom is a blended learning implements e-learning and does not eliminate face-to-face sessions in the classroom. This study applied flipped classroom to calculus lectures to determine students’ perceptions and learning outcomes. Learning outcomes were investigated in pre-class sessions, in-class sessions, and compared to the traditional class. All materials in the flipped classroom used screencast via Google Classroom. The sample was calculus class students at Prisma University. Data were collected using a questionnaire, written tests, and Kahoot online test. Data analysis was performed descriptively and statistically using the 2-sample t-test and paired t-test. The results showed no significant difference in the average score of learning outcomes between the pre-class of calculus flipped classroom and traditional class. However, the average score after in-class sessions was higher than the average score in the traditional class. Furthermore, positive responses were shown by students who lectured with the flipped classroom.

Abstract

Pakoba as an endemic plant in North Sulawesi has ethnomedical benefits in treating diabetes. The purpose of this study was to determine the histopathological of pancreatic hyperglycemic rats induced by alloxan by the administration of pakoba stem bark ethanol extract (PSBEE). Rats with an average weight of 150-200 gr were divided into 5 treatment groups. Group I as a normal control without alloxan administration then group II alloxan control, group III were treated with glibenclamide 5 mg/kgbw, groups IV and V were treated with PSBEE 150 and 300 mg/kgbw oral gavage. Phytochemical screening results of PSBEE contain a lot of alkaloids, flavonoids, and tannins. A dose of 300 mg/kgbw PSBEE is better in repair pancreatic cells in hyperglycemia rats compared with a dose of 150 mg/kgbw. There needs further research to know the antioxidant activity, the mechanism of the active compound content of the pakoba stem bark as an antihyperglycemic.

Abstract

Apis dorsata Binghami is a honey bee endemic to Indonesia, living naturally in the forests of Sulawesi. This study aimed to obtain isolates and characteristics of endogenous fungi antibiotic activity from Apis dorsata Binghami nest. The study consisted of isolation of fungi from beehives using potato dextro agar, pure culture of fungi, antagonist test and antibiotic test using disc diffusion method. Antibiotic test was performed on oral bacteria and Staphylococcus aureus. The results obtained six fungal isolates from Apis dorsata Binghami's nest, namely isolates FAB1, FAB2, FAB3, FAB4, FAB5 and FAB6. The results of the antagonist test showed that the isolates FAB1, FAB2, FAB3, FAB4 and FAB5 were antagonistic. The results of the antibacterial test showed that all isolates produced an average bacterial growth inhibition of 17-18 mm on Staphylococcus aureus and isolates of oral bacteria. The inhibition zone lasts up to 3 x 24 hours so that the activity of the bacteria is bactericidal. From the results of this study, it can be concluded that the endogenous fungus Apis dorsata Binghami is a potential source of antibacterial bioactives.

Abstract

This study aims to obtain data on the phytochemical content of the methanol extract of Baringtonia asiatica. Obtain data on the phytochemical content of the B. asiatica clorform extract. This research was carried out in the Biology laboratory and Chemistry Laboratory, State University of Manado. The study consisted of extraction and phytochemical analysis using the Harborne method, the results showed that from the extraction process the highest yield was obtained in extracts with n-hexane solvent, then chloroform and methanol. The results of phytochemical analysis show that saponins are the phytochemical group with the strongest intensity found compared to other phytochemical groups. Furthermore, flavonoids were found in high intensity also in the analyzed samples.

Abstract

Abstrak:  Pandemi Covid-19 telah mendorong penerapan pembelajaran jarak jauh. Penelitian ini menerapkan flipped classroom pada pembelajaran daring mata kuliah statistika untuk menyelidiki pengaruhnya terhadap kemampuan bernalar dan intensi berwirausaha mahasiswa. Sesi tatap muka flipped classroom dilakukan secara daring dan sesi luar kelas menggunakan e-modul. Penelitian ini berbentuk eksperimen kepada 56 sampel mahasiswa kelas statistika yang dipilih secara acak di Fakultas Sains dan Teknologi Universitas Prisma. Instrumen menggunakan tes tertulis untuk mengukur kemampuan bernalar dan kuesioner untuk mengukur intensi berwirausaha. Uji statistik t dua sampel dan uji t berpasangan digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan ada pengaruh positif penerapan flipped classroom dengan dukungan e-modul pada pembelajaran daring statistika terhadap kemampuan bernalar dan intensi berwirausaha mahasiswa.Abstract: The Covid-19 pandemic has compelled the implementation of distance learning. This study applied the flipped classroom in online learning of statistics courses to investigate its effect on students’ reasoning ability and entrepreneurial intention. In-class sessions of the flipped classroom were conducted online and out-class sessions using e-modules. This study was an experiment with 56 samples of students in the statistics classes who were randomly selected at the Faculty of Science and Technology, Prisma University. Instruments were a written test to measure reasoning ability and a questionnaire to measure entrepreneurial intentions. Statistics test of two-sample t and paired-t were used in this study. The results showed that there was a positive effect of the flipped classroom in online learning of statistics courses with e-module support toward students' reasoning abilities and their entrepreneurial intentions.
