Abstract

The successful development of a nation is determined by the availability of qualified human resources and it depends on good nutritional status. The good nutritional status of adolescent was specify by family socioeconomic status, if the condition of the socioeconomic status are good, the better nutritional status. A family’s socioeconomic status is based on parental education, parental occupation and family income. This research has been doing to know the association between family socioeconomic status with nutritional status of adolescents age’s 11 – 15 years old at Child Development Centre (CDC) ID-127 Manado City. The design research is an analytic research with cross sectional approach. There are 90 samples taken from 92 people of total population who are willing to be sampled. Data obtained from direct measurement and interview questionnaire. The anthropometric measurements calculated using z-score and spearman rho for statistical test to prove the hypothesis of this research.The result showed there was no association between family socioeconomic status and nutritional status of adolescents age’s 11 – 15 years old with the value of ρ = 0,083; ρ = 1,00; ρ = 0,455 (ρ > 0,005) are indicated there was no association between parental education, parental occupation and family income with nutritional status of adolescents age’s 11 – 15 years old at Child Development Centre (CDC) ID-127 Manado city. Abstract

Universal precautions is an efforts undertaken in the framework of preventive protection, and minimize cross-infection among health care workers and patients as a result of direct contact with the patient, or the patient's body fluids, and infected with contagious diseases. The purpose of research is to describe the implementation of the universal precautions in the Tanawangko Health Center. This research is a descriptive study. The results showed all respondents always wash their hands before and after performing medical procedures, all respondents always wash their hands with soap and flowing water, 45.45% of respondents did not use a mask when treat patients, all respondents always use gloves when contact with blood or body fluids, 13.64% of respondents did not use gloves when cleaning medical equipment, all respondents always take steps decontamination and sterilization, all respondents always wash medical equipment after use with soap or detergent, 9.09% of respondents did not close the syringe needle with one hand method, 22.73% of respondents did not dispose needle and other sharps in special containers, 77.27% of the respondents did not dispose of medical waste and non-medical in the trash bin. Abstract

Clean and Healthy Behavior is a picture of the family life’s pattern that’s always caring and keeping the healthiness of the whole family members. Clean and Healthy Behavior should be applied as early as possible to make a positive behavior of the health’s upkeep. The application of CHB in North Sulawesi in 2004 was only around 17,95% and for Minahasa was 16,67%. Those numbers are still far behind the 65% that was targeted in 2010. One of CHB’s Indicators is the availability of latrine. Latrine is made for people feces’ disposal. The latrine usage is purposed to keep the clean and health environment. This research is aimed to discover the relation between the CHB of household and the latrine usage in Children Development Center ID-127 Ranomuut District, Manado City. This research is an analytic research and using cross sectional method. The location is taken in CDC ID-127 Ranomuut District, Manado City with 68 respondents consist of parents of children in age’s 3-5 in CDC. The research that is examined by using chi square test in SPSS program, shows no significant correlation between CHB and latrine usage (p=0,000) and a strong prove to receive the null hypothesis which is no correlation between CHB and latrine usage in CDC ID-127 Ranomuut District, Manado City. Abstract

Malaria is one of the disease that gives quite high morbidity and mortality in this wolrd. Malaria is a disease with the 3rd amount of death. In Indonesia, Malaria is still main healthy problem because it influences rate of illness in baby, give birth mother and caused extraordinary event ( KejadianLuarBiasa – KLB ). Based on RISKESDA 2009/2010 Ma-laria case in Sulawesi Utara is 61, 7 %. The goal of this research is to figure out the knowledge and preventing action has been done by Tateli citizen over Malaria disease. This research is a descriptive and survey method. The sampling of this research has been taken at Jaga I, that is one of the area where the mosquito grow. The result of this research shows that the knowledge of Tateli I Jaga I citizen is good, shown by caused and signed of Malaria that has been known for 90 % and the preventing action over Malaria disease is not really good, because we can find 76 % that didn’t use wire, and 89 % didn’t use mosquito net in their house.

Abstract

Based on Global Tuberculosis Control WHO 2012, Indonesia went up from fifth to forth rank after India, China, and South Africa, obviously problem within restraint of Tuberculosis has increased. On 2008 North Sulawesi classified Pulmonary TB diseases as the top 10 infectious diseases with a prominent number of 1,571 cases. Manado City on 2012 Pulmonary Tuberculosis with BTA positive number was 1.645 cases. Basically, this condition exhibit an efforts development of healthy in order to improve risk factors for Pulmonary TB until now has not been entirely successful. The type of this research is cross sectional that purpose to know risk of factors (age, gender, education, employment, level of income, knowledge and the side effects of anti-tuberculosis drugs related with obedience of treatment pa-tients with Pulmonary Tuberculosis in five health centers in the city of Manado. There were 171 samples taken from a total population of 119 people. Data obtained from direct interviews using questionnaires. The statistical test used was Chi square. The result of research indicates that the variable, which relates with treatment compliance of TB pa-tient, is education. (p=0,000) and knowledge (p=0,000). Variable that are not related to obedience of treatment TB patients are age, gender, education, occupation, level of income and side effect OAT (p=0,05).Keywords: Clean and Health Behaviour, Knowledge, Attitude and Behaviour

Abstract

Background : Water is an essential component of the environment for human survival. Provision of clean water should beable to fulfill the needs of the people because the limited of fresh water will ease the spread of various diseases in thecommunity, one of which is diarrhea. Diarrhea remains one of the important public health issue. In Manado diarrhealdisease is a disease that causes a potential Extraordinary Events from 2009-2012. This study aims to obtain an overviewof the water source and the incidence of diarrhea in the Tubir village Paal II district of Manado. Methods : This study is adescriptive study using survey method to get an overview of the water source and the incidence of diarrhea in the Tubirvillage Paal II district of Manado which held for 3 months since October 2012 – January 2013. Population of this study wasall head of families and the number of samples obtained by using the Lemeshow formula 1997 is 100 head of families whofulfilled the inclusion criteria. Result and Conclusion: The result of the study of the water source found that the watersource used for daily needs the most is the river (52%), followed by plumbing water (PAM) (23%), the walled well (22%),and the least is not walled well. In order to obtain the needs of drinking water the large sourced (41%) from water refill,following the wells (23%), plumbing water (PAM) (21%), and the least is the river water (15%). From the results obtained,it was concluded that the incidence of diarrhea found 100 respondents, there were (74%) of respondents claimedto experience defecated with liquid fecal consistency > 3 times daily (diarrhea), while (26%) respondents had defecated <3 times daily (not diarrhea).Keywords: water source, diarrhea, diarrhea incidence

Abstract

Tuberkulosis (TB) paru merupakan penyakit infeksi yang terjadi di seluruh dunia. World Health Organization (WHO) memperkirakan sepertiga penduduk dunia terinfeksi oleh Mycobacterium tuberculosis.Berdasarkan laporan Riset Kesehatan Dasar (Riskesdas) pada tahun 2013, prevalensi TB paru di Indonesia yang terdiagnosis yaitu sebesar 0,4%. Di Sulawesi Utara, prevalensi TB paru yang terdiagnosis ialah sebesar 0,3%. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui karakteristik pasien TB paru di Puskesmas Tuminting Manado dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif.Data dikumpulkan menggunakan rekam medis dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 196. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pasien TB paru terbanyak terdiri dari 39,8% kelompok umur 26-45 tahun, 55,1% jenis kelamin laki-laki, 54,1% BTA sputum 3+, danseluruh pasien merupakan tipe kasus baru serta menggunakan pengobatan Kategori I. Sebanyak 99% pasien telah berobat teratur, seluruh pasien mencapai pengobatan tahap awal dengan hasil BTA (-) dan 95,4% hasil akhir pengobatan ialah sembuh.

Abstract

Penyakit tuberculosis (TB)  merupakan masalah kesehatan global dan penyebab kematian ke dua setelah infeksi Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV). Indonesia termasuk dalam high burden countries, menempati urutan kelima beban penyakit TB dunia.Dan Kota Manado pada tahun 2013 diperkirakan 1.198 orang terdiagnosis TB. Angka kematian karena TB dan prevalensi TB merupakan salah satu indikator penyakit menular yang diukur untuk menilai kemajuan pengobatan agar mencapai target Milenium Developmen Gold (MDG). Sementara untuk penyebab kematian yang terjadi di Negara berkembang catatan resmitidak konsistentersedia, sehingga penilaian kemajuan pengobatan dan target MDG’s kurang dapat dievaluasi. Sehingga autopsi verbal dibutuhkan sebagai suatu registrasi vital kematian yang valid dan reliable di masyarakat. Penelitian ini bersifat deskriptif dengan pendekatan sampel total pupulasi. Sampel  penelitian ialah 15 pasien yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi dari populasi  pasien yang telah meninggal karena TB di Kota Manado tahun 2013-2014. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner AV 5+. Hasil penelitian didapatkan sebagian besar sampel yaitu laki-laki (73%) dan paling banyak berumur > 65 tahun (34%). Sebagian besar dari caregivers mengaku bahwa sampel mengalami gejala demam (60%), sesak nafas (60%) , dan batuk > 2 minggu (86,7%). Mayoritas sampel juga diketahui telah melakukan pemeriksaan dahak (80%) dan foto rontgen paru (86,6%). Penyebab kematian sampel secara keseluruhan adalah TB Paru tunggal  (60%) dan TB paru disertai penyakit lainya (40%). Data menunjukan bahwa sebagian besar pasien tidak melakukan pengobatan secara teratur dan lengkap (60%). Dinas Kesehatan Kota Manado diharapkan dapat bekerja sama dengan tenaga kesehatan dan keluarga pasien dalam menyikapi kejadian TB terutama dalam melakukan tindakan prefentif dan evaluasi kejadian di masyarakat. Abstract

Penyakit Tuberkulosis paru adalah penyakit menular langsung oleh Mycobacterium tuberculosis. Biasanya paru-paru adalah yang paling umum terinfeksi, tetapi dapat mengenai organ lain. Penyakit ini dapat ditularkan melalui droplet dari TB paru orang yang terinfeksi . Indonesia adalah 10 negara dengan kejadian TB tertinggi, mulai dari India, Cina, Afrika Selatan, dan Indonesia berada di urutan keempat pada tahun 2012. Penelitian ini adalah survei cross sectional yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan pengetahuan, sikap, dan tindakan dengan kejadian Tuberkulosis. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah semua masyarakat di wilayah kerja Desa Wori, Kecamatan Wori dengan sampel 97 orang. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan uji Chi Square. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tidak ada hubungan yang signifikan antara pengetahuan dengan kejadian Tuberkulosis (p=0,617), juga tidak ada hubungan yang signifikan antara sikap dengan Tuberkulosis kejadian (p=0,281), namun terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara tindakan dengan kejadian Tuberkulosis (p=0,048). Untuk itu diperlukan penyuluhan tentang penyakit Tuberkulosis kepada warga masyarakat di Desa Wori.     Kata Kunci: Pengetahuan, Sikap, Tindakan, Tuberkulosis Paru

Abstract

Tuberkulosis adalah penyakit  menular yang disebabkan oleh kuman mycobacterium tuberkulosis yang telah menjadi ancaman global. Upaya penanggulangan TB sudah banyak dilakukan. Keberhasilan pengobatan TB  tak lepas dari peran tenaga kesehatan. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui perilaku khususnya pengetahuan sikap dan tindakan tenaga kesehatan di puskesmas kota Manado. Penelitian ini bersifat deskriptif. Sampel dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 75 orang tenaga kesehatan. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner. Hasil penelitian ini didapati umur responden sebagian besar 26-35 tahun sebanyak 39 responden (52,0%) jenis kelamin sebagian besar perempuan sebanyak 65 responden (86,7%). dalam penelitian ini responden memiliki pengetahuan sikap dan tindakan yang baik. Tenaga kesehatan diharapkan lebih sering memberikan penyuluhan supaya masyarakat dapat lebih mencegah penularan penyakit iniKata Kunci: Tenaga Kesehatan, Tuberkulosis, Pengetahuan, Sikap, Tindakan.
