Abstract

Panti Asuhan Muhammadiyah Malang (PAM) adalah salah satu amal usaha organisasiMuhammadiyah yang berfungsi sebagai lembaga penyantunan dan pembinaan anak-anak yatimpiatu dan terlantar. Permasalahan utama yang dihadapi mitra saat ini adalah minimnya kecakapan/keahlian teknis pada anak asuh yang segera akan habis masa santunannya. Berawal dari kesadaranbahwa anak asuh memerlukan keahlian untuk dapat mandiri selepas dari masa santunan di pantiasuhan, maka diperlukan usaha penunjang untuk memberikan pembekalan keahlian khusus padamereka.Kegiatan pelatihan ini bertujuan untuk menambah kemampuan anak asuh di PAM Malangdalam bidang produksi minuman instan suplemen kesehatan dengan harapan bahwa kemampuanyang dimiliki tersebut bermanfaat sebagai bekal mereka berwirausaha setelah selesai masasantunan di Panti Asuhan. Kegiatan dilaksanakan dalam tiga tahap yaitu :Pelatihan produksidalam skala industri kecil, pendampingan dan pengawasan. Hasilnya telah berhasil dibentuklima kelompok anak asuh yang berkolaborasi dalam produksi dan pemasaran produk minumaninstan herbal berkhasiat yang telah dikemas dan diberi label yang mendukung kelancaranpemasaran

Abstract

Nigella sativa seed has a lot of beneficial health effect, such as immune-modulator, anti-histamine, anti-diabetic, anti-hypertension, anti-inflammatory, anti-microbes and antitumor. Numeral antimicrobial effect of Nigella sativa has been published, but only a few number of the information of the antimicrobial activity to the probiotic bacteria such as from the genus of Lactobacillus spp. However this research focused on the selectivity of the antimicrobial activity of N. sativa extract to the probiotic and pathogenic bacteria. This research begins with the extraction of N. sativa seed powder by ethanol 80% 1:3 (w/v). With rotary evaporator the macerates extracted till gained semi solid extract. In the other side probiotic and pathogenic bacteria broth cultures were prepared. Extract resoluted with concentration 5%; 2,5%; 1,25% and 0,625%. Into the extract were submerged some disk paper with 6 mm diameter. After that the disk put on to the solid medium were had cultured by bacteria then incubated overnight. The diameters of the clearing zone that seemed then measured. The result showing that the inhibitory zone occurred at 0,625% concentration. After general analysis there is no significant different inhibitory effect of the extract to the tested bacteria, but from the statistical analysis known that probiotik bacteria seemed more sensitive than pathogenic bacteria were tested.

Abstract

The seed of Nigella sativa has long time ago employed as medicinal remedy for numerous disorders. N.sativa has active compounds in its seed likes nigellisine, nigellidine, nigellimine-N-oxide, thymoquinone, dithymoquinone, thymohydroquinon, nigellone, thymol, arvacrol, oxy-coumarin, 6-methoxycoumarin, 7-hydroxy-coumarin, alpha-hedrin, steryl-glucoside, flavonoids, tannins, essential amino acid, ascorbic acid, and minerals. The seed has various curative activities. As body immunity stimulator by stimulating the formations of bone marrow and many kind of antibody cells, antihistamine, anti-hypertension, anti-inflammation, antimicrobial activities by protecting bodies from viruses and decreasing the risk of infections, anti-diabetic (metabolic syndrome), and anti cancer. These papers have to discuss deeper about the beneficial aspect of N. sativa seed against metabolic syndrome and cancer. Based on several research known that N. sativa has potential to decrease total cholesterol, low density lipoprotein and blood glucose level. This seed also has potential to maintain the homeostatic of blood vessels as the backbone of the circulatory system in the body. At the cancer case, this seed substances has potential to decreasing the development of cancerous cells, kills the cells by enhances its apoptotic programs and also lessening the metastasis of the cancer cells. Keywords: cancer, metabolic syndrome, Nigella sativa

Abstract

Indonesia has high biodiversity, especially plant species. There are many benefits that can be Obtained from various plants that grow in Indonesia, one of which is as a health supplement or medicinal raw material. Fast researches are important in the use of these plants so that bio-based products can be widely accepted. One of the important fast methods in analysing the benefits of plant chemical compounds is the in-silico prediction utilizing metadata spread over various pages providing scientific data about plants, their chemical compound content and biological activity. This study was focused on predictively observing the biological activity of the compounds in the rhizome of Alpinia galanga. The research method is by analysing metadata from various sources. Data on the content of chemical compounds can be accessed through the page https://phytochem.nal.usda.gov/, classification of metabolite compounds contained in plants using http://classyfire.wishartlab.com/, prediction of absorption, distribution, metabolism and excretion (ADME) uses http://www.swissadme.ch/, to determine the relationship between plant compounds and body proteins, http://www.swisstargetprediction.ch/ and prediction of cellular mechanisms seen through https://string-db.org. Based on in silico analysis by utilizing some of the above software, it can be seen that the rhizome of the Alpinia galangal plant has 80 active compounds, 47 have high bioavailability and 9 compounds with tight cell proteins. Based on in silico exploration, it is also known that A. galangal has potential as an antioxidant, antimicrobial, anti-cancer and various other pharmacological activities

Abstract

COVID-19 menjadi pandemic di seluruh dunia saat ini. Pengobatan dan vaksin yang spesifik untuk penanganannya juga belum ditemukan. Namun, beberapa peneliti dunia tengah melakukan studi potensi pengobatan tradisional untuk menjadi alternative penanganan COVID-19. Pemberitaan media online termasuk di Indonesia juga tidak sedikit yang memberitakan potensi obat tradisional dalam melawan COVID-19. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengobatan tradisional yang dapat digunakan sebagai peningkatan imunitas tubuh untuk melawan COVID- 19. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif analisis konten terhadap konten media online nasional yang berkaitan langsung dengan pemberitaan dan pengkajian tentang obat tradisional sebagai obat untuk meningkatkan kekebalan tubuh menghadapi wabah Covid-19 di Indonesia. Analisis data menerapkan teknik coding berbuka, yaitu proses analisis data yang dilakukan berdasarkan pada konsep abstrak yang kemudian dijadikan sebagai dasar pengklasifikasian data yang berkaitan dengan topik penelitian ini. Analisis koding berbuka menggunakan software Nvivo 12 plus melalui fitur auto code, crosstab, hirarchy chart, dan word frequency. Penelitian ini menemukan bahwa penggunaan herbal dapat meningkatkan fungsi kekebalan tubuh. Kekebalan tubuh yang optimal dapat mencegah tubuh dari infeksi COVID-19 (penyakit Coronavirus-19). Keterbatasan penelitian ini adalah validitas data yang perlu dilakukan melalui triangulasi konten media online dan laporan ilmiah yang dibuat oleh para ahli dari berbagai laboratorium terkemuka. Oleh karena itu, penelitian selanjutnya perlu meninjau topik penelitian ini menggunakan teknik analisis triangulasi media online dan laporan penelitian yang dikeluarkan oleh laboratorium terkemuka di Indonesia.

Abstract

A high number of infections from year to year require infectious diseases to get serious attention. The antimicrobial compound exploration must be continued to anticipate the development of infectious diseases. The purpose of this study was to find out in vitro antimicrobial activity of n-hexane, ethyl acetate, and ethanol fractions of Piper betle green leaves against S. aureus, and profiles of secondary metabolite compounds contained in these three extracts. The antimicrobial activity test was carried out by disk diffusion test of the fraction of n-hexane, ethyl acetate, and ethanol at a concentration of 6,25, 12,5, and 18,75 µg/disk. Detection of secondary metabolite content was done by the Thin Layer Chromatography method with stain-view reagents. The highest antimicrobial activity was found in the ethyl acetate fraction and was significantly different from the activity in the ethanol and n-hexane fractions. However, the antibacterial activity of all fractions was lower compared to the positive control of amoxiclav 30µg/disk. The phytochemical screening results of secondary metabolites of each fraction were shown that the n-hexane fraction contained alkaloids, terpenoids, flavonoids, polyphenols, and anthraquinone; the ethyl acetate fraction contained terpenoids, polyphenols, and anthraquinone; while the ethanol fraction contained alkaloids, terpenoids, polyphenols, and anthraquinone. Based on the test results, it is concluded that all fractions of Piper betle leaf extract had high antimicrobial activity; meanwhile, the ethyl acetate fraction had the highest activities among others. Each fraction was proven to have a different composition of secondary metabolites.

Abstract

ABSTRAKMuhammadiyah Youth Movement Enterpreneur Malang bertujuan untuk melatih para calon wirausahawan muda aktivis Organisasi Otonom (ORTOM) Muhammadiyah di kota Malang. Untuk membuat sistem yang baku maka akan dilaksanakan fokus grup diskusi dengan beberapa pakar ahli dalam bidang pendidikan maupun dalam bidang praktisi entrepreneurship di Malang yang kemudian disusun dalam sebuah naskah standar operasional prosedur dan dijadikan acuan dalam pelaksanaan AMM entrepreneur school selanjutnya. Selain itu akan dibuat berbagai komponen pembelajaran mulai rancangan pembelajaran pelaksanaan pembelajaran perangkat pelaksanaan pembelajaran sistem evaluasi. Pelatihan memberikan dampak yang positif bagi peserta. Mereka semakin tahu dengan skema kanvas bisnis dan model bisnis modern. Dan hal-hal diatas memberikan beberapa pelajaran dan rekomendasi untuk pelatihan batch mendatang diperlukan pengelompokan usaha yang sama dalam starting point usaha dan tingkat pengetahuan peserta sehingga materi dapat diberikan dengan maksimal. Kata Kunci: pengabdian; entrepreneur; AMM; pembelajaran; pelatihan; usaha. ABSTRACTMuhammadiyah Youth Entrepreneur Movement Malang aims to train aspiring young entrepreneurial activists of the Muhammadiyah Autonomous Organization (ORTOM) in Malang city who have small businesses or micro businesses in their respective places to be able to improve the quality and quantity of their business. To create a standard system, focus group discussions will be carried out with several expert experts in the field of education and in the field of entrepreneurship practitioners in Malang which are then compiled in a standard operating procedure script which is then used as a reference in the implementation of the next AMM entrepreneur school. In addition, various learning components will be made starting from the learning design of the learning implementation of the evaluation system learning implementation tools. The training has a positive impact on the participants. They are increasingly familiar with business canvas schemes and modern business models. And the things above provide some lessons and recommendations for the next batch of training, it is necessary to group the same efforts in starting the business points and the level of knowledge of the participants so that the material can be given optimally. Keywords: dedication; entrepreneur; AMM; learning; training; business.
