Abstract

This study aims (a) to analyze the role of ADD as a budget stimulant to encourage the growth of the real sector business in the village. (b) to investigate the role of ADD on the development of village potential. The analytical instrument applied was Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) or also called Linear Structural Equation (LISREL). The results of this study are: (a) the variable of village potential / featured development following ADD program is the condition of infrastructure (X4) with a correlation value of 0.81. (b) variable of rural enterprises growth financed (impact) by ADD is the infrastructure condition (X4) with a correlation value of 0.33.

Abstract

This study was conducted with the intention of examining the causal relationship between the following variables: Human Development Index (HDI), foreign debt, poverty, and economic growth. The data used in this investigation was secondary data from 1990 to 2013 which then analyzed by applying Granger causality tests performed six times that ultimately obtained the following results: (1) there was no causal relationship between Human Development Index (HDI) and Foreign Debt (AD); (2) there was a one-way causal relationship between foreign debt (AD) and poverty; (3) there was a one-way causal relationship between economic growth with Foreign Debt (AD); (4) there was no causal relationship between poverty with Human Development Index (HDI); (5) there was no causal relationship between Economic Growth and Human Development Index (HDI); and (6) there was a one-way causal relationship between economic growth and poverty.

Abstract

This research is intended to analyze the competitiveness of regions to economic performance in each district/city in East Java Province. This research uses regression tool of panel data with approach of random effect model. The results of this study indicate that the indicators that have a big role on economic performance are the aspect of public services. So the priority of policy in general is the improvement of public service in terms of order of regulation/regulation, provision of infrastructure, and readiness of human resources. Improving the quality of human resources should also be a priority because based on the results of research indicates that variable human resources is an important factor in the formation of competitiveness.Keywords: competitiveness, economic performance, East Java.

Abstract

The purpose of the research is providing an analysis on the economic opportunities that can be generated through the implementation of an integrated and well organized solid waste management in order to increase the economic value of garbage from the level of household, small, and medium industry to give positive impact due to the increased prosperity for the community in urban areas, especially the poor. The research employed survey method to identify the fundamental problems at the level of households and industries, in-depth interviews, focus group discussions to find strategic steps and practices in implementing integrated waste management which based on partnerships to overcome urban poverty. The results of this study indicated that the economic value of organic waste is Rp. 193, 952, 422 ($14,841.80) per year and Rp. 223, 142, 710 ($17,077.86) per year for inorganic waste. This potential should be properly managed through synergizing the existing waste management agencies such as the Department of Public Cleanliness and the Waste Bank of Malang city. The synergy on waste management should be made up to the lowest level in public institutions that is housewives association, because the role of housewife is very important in the success of waste management. Thus, the funds collected from the optimization of waste management can be used as business capital to help low income working families in Malang city.

Abstract

Sharing knowledge across different units within an organization can be considered as one of the organization’s fundamental operation. Nonetheless, sharing information and knowledge across boundaries presents tremendous challenges for organization. This paper discusses the impact of social network structure and social media in mediating knowledge sharing against unit task performance. Based on the review of extant literatures in intra-organization information and knowlegde sharing, this paper accentuates on three propositions as follows: a) the use of online collaborative media reduces time spend on task by accelerating the electronic document quality assurance process, b) integrating expert ability with the use of collaborative media reduces time spend on task by accelerating the electronic document quality assurance process, and c) social network structure increase the likelihood to extract personal advice from colleagues, thus improve unit’s work quality.

Abstract

This study attempts to provide an overview of the digitalization of MSMEs in East Java. It is a qualitative descriptive study in which the data were collected through surveys with simple random sampling method. Basically, 80 percent of MSMEs have integrated digital literacy, particularly in the context of product marketing, into their strategy, yet only 12 percent have carried out it professionally. In East Java, 70 percent of MSMEs emphasize digital marketing through social media platforms, i.e., Instagram and Facebook, while 30 percent prefer mixed method. This study also reveals that either using a single platform or multi platform, it statistically has insignificant effect on the ratio of online transactions. Nevertheless, there is a significant positive effect between the ratio of online transactions and the management quality of digital marketing.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the factors that affect the satisfaction of ecotourism visitors Malang regency. The analytical tool used is to identify the factors that influence ecotourism performance using multiple regression analysis. The results of the analysis can be obtained the following conclusions: First, the influence of entertainment and supporting facilities are not significant indicate that the two variables are not the main determinant of visitor satisfaction as a representation of ecotourism performance. However, services and natural conditions are significantly more influential on ecotourism performance in Malang Regency. Secondly, the success of ecotourism is determined by management management as the result of analysis shows that service is the dominant variable in influencing visitor's satisfaction, so it needs synergy from all parties including government policy.

Abstract

Several research found that there is relationship between religious and economic spirit. This study intended to determine the relationship between religiosity towards employee's welfare at University of Muhammadiyah Malang. The method of this study is quantitatif using questionnaire as method of collecting data. The method of analysis data using Partial Least Square (PLS) with several valid variables. The result indicates that religiousity have significance impact on the welfare of employee of University of Muhammadiyah Malang.

Abstract

This studied aims to explained the effect of the variables of inflation, consumption expenditure, capital formation, foreign direct investment, and trade openness on gross domestic product ASEAN countries from 1996 – 2018. This research used a panel regression analyzed method to test the data in getting decisions. The t-statistic test results showed that consumption expenditure, capital formation, foreign direct investment, and trade openness significantly influence the direction of a positive relationship to gross domestic product. However, inflation showed a negative direction and had a significant effect on the gross domestic product so that if there is increased inflation it will reduce gross domestic product. The government can formula a single-digit policy so that there is no decline in the gross domestic product of ASEAN countries.

Abstract

Poverty is classic issue faced by most developing countries and is one of economic indicators to view public welfare level in any region. The research aimed to analyze effect of Gross Domestic Product (GDP), and human development index on poverty in Indonesia. Analysis used quantitative with Random Effect Model (REM) method in Panel Data with time series year 2006 to 2008. Anaysis result concluded that all independent variable simultaneously had significant effect on poverty variable in Indonesia and partially Gross Domestic Product (GDP) variable had significant negative influence on poverty with α 20%, and Human Development Index (HDI) variable had significant negative influence on poverty with α 5%.
