Abstract

The result of this research reveals that critical thinking skills possessed by the students in the pesantren has been developed through several learning approaches implemented during learning process in the pesantren. Among the approaches are critical awareness on the study of classical books (bahtsul masâil), discussion and debate in which students and teachers are equal in presenting ideas (cooperative and collaborative strategies are also embedded in this approach), and problem solving approach in which contextual issues are posed and solved. While creating students to be critical, such approaches were found to preserve students’ moral attitude to the teachers that has been skeptically seen will be deminished. DOI: 10.15408/tjems.v1i2.1265

Abstract

Religious education plays an important role in Indonesia, not only in religious schools but also in all schools and in community development. A number of studies show that Indonesian religious education currently faces challenges in managing the problem of religious radicalism, especially in the context of a conservative society. This research focuses on various religious problems in the community that teachers often encounter during their interactions in schools and communities, with specific reference to Islamic education. This research was conducted using the Focus Group Discussion method which involved 28 religious education teachers from DKI Jakarta, Banten, and West Java. This research explores recurring religious issues in Indonesian society that require further attention in developing religious education programs. Looking at it from the perspective of religious literacy, this study found that multiculturalism, tolerance, and prejudice are the most recurring problems in society. Recognizing the growing challenges to Indonesia's plural society, religious literacy can be used as an alternative destination for religious education. Religious education must be directed towards students’ correct understanding of various religious beliefs and traditions, in addition to strengthening the faith and practice of students' own religious beliefs.

Dаtа utаmа dі dараt mеlаluі оbеѕеrvаѕі dаn wаwаnсаrа dengan pengajar di kedua sekolah tersebut. Sеdаngkаn dаtа реndukung dі dараt mеlаluі ѕtudі kерuѕtаkааn уаng ѕеѕuаі dеngаn реmbаhаѕаn реnеlіtіаn іnі. Dalam studi ini ditemukan beberapa kesamaan dan perbedaan proses pengembangan kurikulum PAI dalam penyusunanya. Meskipun kedua sekolah memang berbeda tingkatan dan nomenklatur, tetapi ada persamaan proses penyusunan kurikulum di masing-masing sekolah tersebut.

Abstract

Perkembangan pendidikan Islam di Indonesia tidak lepas dari sejarah perkembangan pendidikan Islam di masa klasik. Meskipun memiliki corak yang berbeda dari negara lain, Pendidikan Islam di Indonesia memiliki latar historis yang sangat dalam dan mengakar dalam sistem pendidikan di Indonesia. Semangat juang para penyebar Islam dimasa lalu telah menularkan benih-benih survival yang tinggi bagi keberlangsungan Pendidikan Islam di Indonesia hingga saat ini. hal itu dapat dilihat dari pertumbuhan lembaga Pendidikan Islam seperti Pesantren, Madrasah, Sekolah Islam, dan Perguruan Tinggi Islam yang terus berkembang pesat. Artikel ini memaparkan peran penting kaum tuo (Islam Tradisional) terhadap peradaban dan kemajuan Islam khususnya di Indonesia.

Abstract

Kegiatan pelatihan dai muda melalui media digital, bertujuan memberikan pemahaman mengenai landasan moderasi beragama dan prinsip-prinsip dalam moderasi beragama, yang kemudian diterapkan dalam dakwah; Melatih Dai Muda untuk dapat membuat naskah dakwah yang singkat dan menarik, yang dapat dipublikasikan di Youtube; Melatih Dai Muda untuk membuat materi mengenai landasan dan prinsip moderasi beragama; Melatih Dai Muda untuk dapat membuat konten-konten dakwah di Youtube. Kegitan dilaksankan di STAI Al Aulia Bogor, yang beralamat di Jl. KH Abdul Hamid KM 3, Kp. Jawa Desa. Situ Ilir Kec. Cibungbulang Kab. Bogor. Waktu Kegiatan dilaksankan dari tanggal 22 Oktober sampai dengan 30 Oktober 2021. Jumlah yang peserta dalam pelatihan ini sejumlah 15 (lima belas orang). Pelatihan dibagi dalam tiga bagian, sebagaimana yang dinyatakan Thomas Lickona. Pertama Knowing, bagaimana peserta dapat mengetahui isi dari materi yang disampaikan. Kedua Feeling bagaimana peserta dapat merasakan maupun dari materi yang disampaikan. Ketiga action, peserta dapat menjalankan dari isi materi yang didapat dari materi pelatihan.

Abstract

Kurikulum sebagai sarana untuk mencapai tujuan Pendidikan, berfungsi sebagai pedoman pelaksanaan kegiatan belajar. Rancangan kurikulum selayaknya dijadikan landasan bagi sekolah untuk mengembangkan pendidikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui langkah-langkah perencanaan kurikulum yang ada di Sekolah Menengah Atas Swasta (SMAS) Muhammadiyah Pamijahan Bogor. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif, dengan menggunakan metode studi kasus. Data utama didapat melalui wawancara dan observasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa SMAS Muhammadiyah Pamijahan Bogor, melakukan perencanaan kurikulum melalui enam langkah. Pertama, pelatihan guru. Kedua, rapat mengenai kurikulum. Ketiga, merumuskan tujuan. Keempat, menentukan isi kurikulum. Kelima, menentukan metode pembelajaran. Keenam, merancang strategi bimbingan.

Abstract

Studi ini menunjukkan bahwa, Madrasah Aliyah Keagamaan (MAK) layak untuk di aktifkan kembali, dan Peraturan Menteri Agama (PMA) No.60 Tahun 2015 dapat segera dilaksanakan. Madrasah Aliyah Keagamaan diperlukan untuk mencetak kader ulama yang tafaqquh fiddin. Penelitian Balai Litbang Agama Jakarta pada tahun 2016 tentang “Pengembangan Madrasah Aliyah Akademik dan Keagamaan di Indonesia Bagian Barat” telah membuktikan urgensitas diaktifkan kembali Madrasah Aliyah Keagamaan ini. Hal demikian dilakukan agar perguruan tinggi keagamaan tidak kehilangan kader-kader ulama yang berkualitas sesuai dengan tujuan awal dibentuknya program MAPK ini.

Abstract

This study investigated the use of Rosetta Stone application as a media in EFL students’ reading comprehension. This study implemented a quantitative approach in achieving the research objective which is finding out the effect size of Rosetta Stone application on students’ reading comprehension. The experimental design was carried out by using pre-test and post-test as the instruments to collect the data. The data from the pre-test and post-test were analyzed by using SPSS. The Cohens’d effect size in paired sample effect size determined the significant effect of the implementation of Rosetta Stone application on students’ reading comprehension. This study was conducted in SMPN 4 Tangerang Selatan. This research involved ten classes as the population, with a sample of class 8.1 that consisted of 42 EFL students. Based on the analysis of the data, the mean of the post-test is higher than the pre-test with a difference of 36.35 points. The effect size is considered high since 3.260 is higher than 1 (>1). Therefore, the use of Rosetta Stone application has a high effect on students’ reading comprehension. It is recommended for teachers especially EFL to implement Rosetta Stone application in students’ reading comprehension. Further studies are advised to investigate the students’ perception, as well as the advantages and limitations of Rosetta Stone application on students’ reading skills.
