Abstract

This researchis about respons plant number of each planting hole on many varieties of peach bean (Phaseolus vulgaris, L.) indeterminate type was done since February up to May 2018 in Village Ngleses, Sub-distric Candimulyo, Distric Magelang at 434 m als with soil pH 6. The research using methode factorial design random group of two factor, with four repeat. The first factor is plant number of each planting hole, that is one, two and three plant and the second factor is kind of varieties of peach bean there are Balitsa 1 and Balitsa 3. The result from the experiment shawing that enhancement plant number of each planting holecan increasing of plant height, pods number per square meter and pods fresh weight per square meter, but decrease of pods number per plant and pods fresh weight per plant. The Balitsa 1 variety give high yield on pods fresh weight per plant and Balitsa 3 variety give high yield on plant height and the age offlowering is more fast. Plant number of each planting hole and varieties kind is not affect each other, so give a separate influence without  interaction

Abstract

A study about the effect of NAA concentrations and sucrose concentrations on in vitro rooting to sugarcane explant growth (Saccharum officinarum, L.) Bululawang varities was conducted on 2 April until 23 July 2018 at Balai Benih Tanaman Perkebunan Kota Salatiga. Research methods that were used is factorial arrangement (4×4) with a completely randomized block design and five replications as block. First factor, four concentration levels of NAA (0; 2,5; 5; and 7,5 mg/l) and second factor, four concentration levels of sucrose (0; 25; 50; and 75 g/l). The result showed NAA concentration level increased number of roots per explant, but decreased fresh weight of leaves per explant and dry weight of leaves per explant. However, 4,7 mg/l NAA concentration level give highest fresh weight of roots per explant and 5,2 mg/l NAA concentration level give highest dry weight of roots per explant. Sucrose concentration level increased dry weight of leaves per explant, fresh weight of roots per explant and dry weight of roots per explant. However, 59 g/l sucrose concentration level give highest number of roots per explant, 46 g/l sucrose concentration level give highest number of shoots per explant, 46 g/l sucrose concentration level give highest number of leaves per explant and 61 g/l sucrose concentration level give highest fresh weight of leaves per explant. NAA concentration level and 50 g/l sucrose concentration level increased number of roots per explant, but NAA concentration level and 75 g/l sucrose concentration level decreased dry weight of leaves per explant. 4,1 mg/l NAA concentration level and 75 g/l sucrose concentration level give highest fresh weight of roots and 4,9 mg/l NAA concentration level and 75 g/l sucrose concentration level give highest dry weight of roots per explant.

Abstract

A research studied the effect of dose of Urea, SP-36, KCl and Nasa organic liquid fertilizer on onion (Allium cepa fa. ascalonicum, L.) yield. The research has been conducted on May 2017 to August 2017 in Sawangan, Magelang. The altitude is 485 m, the soils regosol with pH of 5.5. This study uses factorial experiment (3 x 3) arranged in a complete randomized block design with three blocks. The first factor is dose of Urea, SP-36, KCl, 95 kg Urea/ha, 46 kg SP-36/ha, 60 kg KCl/ha, 190 kg Urea/ha, 92 kg SP-36/ha, 120 kg KCl/ha, and 285 kg Urea/ha, 138 kg SP-36/ha, 180 kg KCl/ha. The second factor is Nasa organic liquid dose, 2, 3 and 4 ml nasa/l. The result of the research shows that dose 285 kg Urea/ha, 138 kg SP-36/ha, 180 kg KCl/ha increase the number of leaves, number of bulbs per hill, fresh weight of bulbs per hill, fresh weight of bulbs per plot and weight of dry stored bulbs per plot. Nasa organic liquid dose 3 ml nasa/l water can increase height of plant, the leaves long, number of leaves, number of bulbs per clump, fresh weight of bulbs per clump, weight of dry saved bulbs per clump, fresh weight of bulbs per plot and weight of dry bulbs per plot. Onion plant shows the same response on dose Urea, SP-36, KCl and Nasa organic liquid in all observation parameter except fresh weight of bulbs per hill and weight of dry stored bulbs per hill.

Abstract

Mosquito is one of the disease-carrying vectors, one of which is dengue disease. In the control has many methods used, but in this control sometimes there are materials - materials that are not environmentally friendly and can cause resistance to the mosquito itself. The effectiveness test of molasses fermentation as a mosquito attractant by exploratory method aims to find a proportional comparison that can serve as mosquito's attractant, through the use of molasses which is a by-product of sugar cane processing and fermented using yeast (Saccharomyces cerevisae) and applied by bottle trap 1.5 L plastic that has been modified. This study lasted for 14 days. ANOVA analysis was performed on 5 treatments and 3 controls that had different comparisons and then continued with BNT (LSD) test at 1% or 5% level. The results of the analysis by filtering using 200 mesh sieve, we have found that in treatment B that is the use of 100 ml molasses + 1 gram of yeast has the highest number of mosquitoes trapped. As well as further ANOVA test results prove B treatment gives very significant different result to other treatment at LSD level 1%. These results prove that the use of effective molasses fermentation as a practical and economical mosquito attractant.
