Abstract

The aim of the research is to aquire an appropriate plating technique on leather product accessories made from metal without lessening the wonderful appearance of the accessories, to maintain the shade and to keep the rust away from the accessories that avoid or diminish defects on the leather. The plating was carried out by spraying using spraying-gun one, two, and three times, and repeated three times for each treatment to chrome plated metal, gold plated metal and roasted metal. The smaples were then pinned on a piece of chrome tanning leather and vegetable tanned leather, whereas the test carried out was wet and dry rub fastness. Data from completely randomized design are analyzed by factorial pattern according to Gasperz (1991), showed that there was not significant effect on plating neither metal on chrome and vegetable tanned leather having been stored for one, two, or three months, neither on similar things having not been stored yet. However there was significant difference on accessories having been do treated as the stated above and set on a piece of vegetable tanned leather stored for three months. Conclusion could be drawn from the research that the use of acrylate using spray system for plating metal accessories was able to maintain its beautiful appearance, kept the rust away, that was not create defects neither on chrome nor vegetable tanned leather.  Keywords : plating, leather product, metal accessories, acrylate.

Abstract

This research was aimed at gaining the compound rubber of dock Vender formula which has the  characteristic of optimal tensile strength after aging 70 + 1oC within 3 x 24 hours and the optimal elongation at bre ak before aging. This research used the amount of car bon black formula with variation  : 40,45,50,55,60,65, and 70 parts for each 100 partsof rubber. The research showed  that using the formula 40 : 100, the optimal tensile strength after aging 70 + 1oC during 3 x 24 hours resulted the average tensile st rength 19,79 newton/mm2. Where   as the characteristic of the optimum elongation at break was gained at formula 40 part with the average elongation break 682,98% . The result showed that the elongation break aft er aging and elongation at break  after aging fulfilled the specification of SII 2281 88 dock Vender.  INTISARI Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan formula kompon karet bantalan dermaga yang mempunyai sifat tegangan putus setelah aging 70 + 1oC selama 3 x 24 jam yang optimal, dan perpanjangan putus sebelum aging yang optimal. Dalam penelitian ini digunakan formula jumlah karbon black dengan variasi 40, 45, 50, 55, 60, 65 dan 70 bagian untuk setiap 100 bagian karet. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa tegangan putus setelah aging 70 + 1oC selama 3 x 24 jam optimal pada penggunaan carbon black 40 bagian dengan tegangan putus rata-rata 19,79 N/mm2. Sedangkan sifat  perpanjangan putus sebelum aging nilai optimum didapat pada formula carbon black 40 bagian dengan perpanjangan putus rata-rata 682,98%. Hasil uji tegangan putus setelah aging dan perpanjangan putus sebelum aging memenuhi persyaratan SH 2281-88 bantalan karet untuk dermaga.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to find out the effect of weather exposure on the physical characteristic of the abrasiti on and the densytas of the quality of the molding rubber of the sport shoes. In this research, the samples of the experiment are installed on shelves which each of the shelve has an a 00,150,30, and 450 angle, by directly exposure to the out door weather. The samples of the research were tested to know their physical proper-ties. It was done once in every 40n days. Testing for the abrasition and densytas on rubber and plastic physical and chemist Laboratory IRDLAI, YOGYAKARTA, by reference SNI 0078-1989. A. The results of physical tests were analysed using T test. The result of the research showed that the different angles of the selves did not affect the abrasition as well as the densytas significantly.  INTISARI Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh cuaca luar terhadap mutu ketahanan kikis dan berat jenis sol karet cetak sepatu olah raga. Dalam melaksanakan contoh uji dipasang diatas rak yang sudut kemiringannya diatur masing-masing : O0, 150,300, dan 450, dengan cuaca langsung udara terbuka. Pengambilan contoh uji yang akan diuji sifat fisiknya, diambil setiap 40 hari sekali. Pengujian ketahanan kikis dan berat jenis dilakukan di Laboratorium Fisis dan Khemis Barang Karet dan Plastik BBKKP Yogyakarta dengan mengacu pada SNI 0078-1989.A, Sol Karet Cetak. Analisa hasil uji menggunakan T test. Hasil penelitian menunjukan pengaruh yang tidak jauh berbeda terhadap perubahan sifat ketahanan kikis dan berat jenis sol karet cetak sepatu olah raga.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to use Parafinic oil as Secondary Plastizer in making PVC imitation leather for upper shoes and to know the optimal formulation. The research applied  paraffinic oil type P60 and type P95 and with variation 4 part, 5 part and 6 part. Data analysed using statistic method. Completely Randomized Design and Split plat Design. The result of this research indicated that all Kind of Parafinic Oil Could be used to secondary plastilizer in making imitation leather and the result of this physical testing optimal paraffinic oil type P60.4.    INTISARI Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memakai Parafinic oil sebagai bahan plastilizer seconder dalam pembuatan kulit imitasi untuk atasan sepatu dan untuk mengetahui formula yang optimal. Dalam penelitian ini dipergunaan Parafinic Oil tipe P 60 dan tipe P 95 dengan variasi jumlah 4 bagian, 5 bagian dan 6 bagian. Analisa data dengan menggunakan Kan Completely Randomized Design dan Split plat Design. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa semua tipe paraffinic oil dapat dipergunakan sebagai secondary plastiliser dalam pembuatan kulit imitasi dan hasil uji fisis paraffinic oil tipe P60.4 yang optimal.

Abstract

The objective of this experiment was to get deliming agents having function s bleaching agent in pickle process, but it also keeps the quality of the pickles and waste water remaining good. Deliming process is conducted on the preparation of pickles. Five deliming agents were used on the experiment, they were ZA 2% (I), NH4Cl2% (II), NaHSO32% (III), a combination of ZA 1 % and NH4Cl 0,5% (IV), and a combination of ZA 1 % and NH4Cl 1% (V). The quality of the pickles were then evaluated on the shade and the acceptance of panelists. In order to ascertain wheter or not the process be related as environmentally friendly one, the waste water quality were also evaluated. The results showed that NH4Cl 2% was the best deliming agent as well as a bleaching agent.  Keywords : deliming agent, bleaching agent, pickle.  Percobaan ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh agensia penghilang kapur yang juga berfungsi sebagai agensia pemutih dalam pembuatan kulit pikel, namun mutu kulit pikel dan mutu limbahnya tetap baik. Proses penghilangan kapur merupakan salah satu proses persiapan dalam pembuatan kulit pikel. Pada percobaan ini digunakan lima macam agensia penghilang kapur yang sekaligus berfungsi sebagai agensia pemutih masing-masing yaitu ZA 2% (I), NH4Cl 2 (II), NaHSO3 2 % (III), campuran ZA 1 % dan NH4Cl 0,5 % (IV), serta campuran ZA I % dan NH4Cl 1 % (V). Kulit pikel yang dihasilkan kemudian dievaluasi berdasar mutu, warna dan tingkat penerimaan penelisnya. Selain itu untuk mengetahui apakah proses digunakan dapat bersifat ramah lingkungan atau tidak, maka kualitas limbah cairnya pun dievaluasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan NH4Cl  2% merupakan agensia penghilang kapur sekaigus berfungsi sebagai agensia pemutih yang paling baik. Kata Kunci : Agensia penghilang kapur, agensia pemutih, kulit pikel.

Abstract

In this research, the samples of the experiment are installed on shelves which each of the shelve ha an a 0o, 15o, 30o, and 45 angle.  The samples of the research were tested to know their physical properties. It was done once in every 40 days. The result of the research showed that the different angles of the selves did not affect the static elongation as well as the tearing endurance significantly.   INTISARI               Penelitian ini bertujun untuk mengetahui pengruh cuara luar terhadap mutu sol karet cetak sepatu olahraga. Dalam melaksanakan contoh uji di pasang diatas rak yang sudut kemiringan diatur masing- masing : 0o, 5o, 30o dan 45o. Pengambilan contoh yang akan diuji sifat fisiknya, diambil setiap 40 hari sekali.              Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dengansudut kemiringan rak yang berfariasi, ternyata memberikan pengaruh yang tidak jauh berbeda terhadap perubahan sifat perpanjangan tetap dan ketahanan sobek sol karet sepatu olahraga.

Conclusion could be drawn from the research that the use of polyurethane using spray system for plating metal accessories was able to maintain its beautiful appearance, keep the rust away, that was not create defects neither on chrome of vegetable tanned leather.  INTISARI Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan teknik pelapisan aksesoris logam pada barang kulit yang tepat tanpa mengurangi keindahan dari aksesoris itu sendiri dan agar aksesoris tidak berubah warna, tidak cepat berkarat untuk menghindarkan atau mengurangi cacat pada kulit. Pelapisan dengan teknik penyemprotan menggunakan alat semprot (spray gun), dilakukan sebanyak 1, 2 dan 3 kali masing-masing 3 kali ulangan, terhadap aksesoris logam lapis krom, lapis emas dan bakar. Masing-masing contoh dipasang pada kulit sapi samak krom dan samak nabati. Pengujian ketahanan gosok basah dan kering. Analisis data menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap dengan pola factorial menurut Gasperz (1991), menunjukkan bahwa tidak ada pengaruh yang nyata pada perlakuan pelapisan baik untuk logam lapis krom, lapis emas dan bakar yang dipasang pada kulit samak krom dan samak nabati yang sudah disimpan selama 1, 2 dan 3 bulan, juga untuk yang belum disimpan. Ada beda nyata yaitu pada aksesoris yang tidak mendapat perlakuan seperti tersebut diatas dan dipasang pada kulit samak nabati yang disimpan selama 3 bulan. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa penggunaan poliurethan dengan sistem semprot untuk pelapisan aksesoris logam dapat mempertahankan kenampakan warna (keindahan), membuat tidak berkarat, sehingga tidak menimbulkan cacat pada produk barang kulitnya, baik untuk kulit samak krom maupun samak nabati.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to find out the influence on the woven fabric of synthetic leather to the quality of the sport shoes conducted by physical test. This research compare the flannel material with cotton and polyester material. Tresult of the physical test of the tensile strength elongation at break, peel resistances value both vertically or horizontally showed that synthetic leather flannel of the sport shoes significantly different with the cotton and polyester synthetic leather of the sport shoes. However for tearing resistance whether vertically or horizontally, flannel material syntactic leather and cotton polyester synthetic leather for the sport shoes are not significantly different. INTISARI Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh bahan penguat kulit imitasi untuk atasan sepatu ditinjau dari uji fisis. Penelitian ini memvariasikan jenis bahan penguat untuk bahan kulit imitasi, yaitu bahan kain flannel dan bahan kain kaos. Dari hasil pengujian sifat fisis menunjukkan bahwa: tegangan putus, perpanjangan putus, ketahanan rekat baik arah melintang maupun arah membujur bahan penguat kain flanel kulit imitasi untuk atasan sepatu dengan bahan penguat kain kaos kulit imitasi untuk atasan sepatu perbedaan tidak nyata.

Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan untuk melihat pengaruh waktu aging pada sintesis material mesopori. Material mesopori hasil sintesis dikarakterisasi dengan XRD, FTIR dan fisisorpsi nitrogen. Analisis XRD menunjukkan bahwa variasi waktu aging berpengaruh pada struktur mesopori dari zeolit alam (MZ). Spektrum FTIR menunjukkan adanya silanol dan siloksan pada sampel MZ dan MMZ. Hal ini membuktikan bahwa sampel MZ dan MMZ pada semua variasi waktu aging merupakan material kaya silika. Analisis fisisorpsi nitrogen memberi informasi bahwa penambahan waktu aging menyebabkan diameter pori yang lebih besar dan luas permukaan spesifik yang lebih kecil serta dibandingkan dengan bahan baku (zeolit alam, MZ) karena keterlibatan surfaktan kationik (CTABr) selama sintesis.

Abstract

Environmental life cycle assessment on Integrated solid waste management hasdeveloped rapidly during the 1990s and has reached a certain level of harmonisation and standardisation. LCA has mainly been developed for analysing material products, but can also be applied to services, e.g. treatment of a particular amount of solid waste. This paper discusses some methodological issues which come into focus when LCAs are applied to solid waste management systems. The following issues are discussed. (1) Open-loop recycling allocation: besides taking care of a certain amount of solid waste, many treatment processes also provide additional functions, e.g. energy or materials which are recycled into other products. Two important questions which arise are if an allocation between the different functions should be made (and if so how), or if system boundaries should be expanded to include several functions. (2) Multi-input allocation: in waste treatment processes, different materials and products are usually mixed. In many applications there is a need to allocate environmental interventions from the treatment processes to the different input materials. (3) Time: emissions from landfills will continue for a long time.An important issue to resolve is the length of time emissions from the landfill should be considered. Effective schemes need the flexibility to design, adapt and operate systems in ways which best meet current social, economic and environmental conditions. These are likely to change over time and vary by geography. The need for consistency in quality and quantity of recycled materials, compost or energy, the need to support a range of disposaloptions and the benefit of economies of scale, all suggest that integrated waste management should be organized on a large-scale, regional basis. Any scheme incorporating recycling, composting or waste-to-energy technologies must be market-orientated.
